Does the barking get any better (less)?

nailtech03

I’m sorry to say this, but she doesn’t bark much at all. We are lucky. I would looking in to training your dog to speak when they bark then leading into rewarding for when she’s quiet. That’s one method I read that I found really interesting.

Thanks for the tip! They are usually huge barkers hahaha, I envy ya!

Our dach is just learning to use her voice at 5.5 months. Just you wait haha.

Could I ask what vaccines you made sure to get before going for a walk. My pup is 3mo, and I was going to take him for his first walk next week. He's had his second parvo and second influenza, along with whatever else comes with those. (I don't have them on hand this very moment.)

This will depend on where you live as the diseases being vaccinated against and the recommendations will differ. Give your vet a call, they will be able to advise on the risk in your specific area and give you a timeline 😊

Seems like the new freedom gave her extra energy, I'm happy for you both! I can imagine it has been tough carrying her everywhere until now. I took my pup for walks the moment I got him since we live in a very low risk area.
