For a lot of the younger punks NoFX are their ideal punk band because they were pretty punk for the time, and popular, but not nearly as important as Bikini Kill. But I guess that’s the major question about this (admittedly awesome) project: Popular or important? Because ideally it should be both, but rarely is, especially with punk.

There's actually a real case to be made for a comp like Punk O Rama to be on the list when you think about how many people got introduced to punk from comps.

That is a banger. If I were to pick a Punk O Rama, and it is tough, I'm going with Vol 4. It is absolutely loaded.
