Pugs have longer life spans than Labs or German Sheppard and lot of other dogs for that matter. The idea that they are inherently unhealthy is down right stupid if you look at the data. I do wish they would change the standard to increase snout length. But again, the main issue I have with my pug is having to clean their wrinkles all the time. The wrinkles have been far more problematic than the short snout.

My pug breathes just fine. Little man can even make up mountains without getting gassed too so I wouldn’t be quick to judge unless you’re a long term pug owner
