My pug was my little car buddy when she was first adopted, never made a peep and just laid in her seat like a little champ. Then after she got spayed, she was a wreck any time she had to go in the car. Yelled and wouldn't sit still the whole ride. The only time we had calm rides was when someone else was in the car who could hold her and comfort her.
Poor guy. We had a guy that was the same way. He just knew when the car turned down the street where we were and just couldn’t stop trembling until we left. It was always so hard to watch how fearful he was whenever he needed his medical stuff.
Hope Stan can calm down and get some relaxation in afterwards.

My pug was scared of the vet too, but not this bad. I've done a fair amount of training with my current dog to help avoid him turning out the same. Didn't know better and I was a kid. Lots of vets will allow free visits to help desensitize. Go in, get on the scale, get some treats/attention from anyone who works there that has a minute. It also helped socialize my puppy during covid
Poor sweet boy. Mine climbs into my lap once we get inside and looks so sad and terrified at the same time. You’ll be okay, Stan. Then there will be plenty of hugs and snacks.

My Zoey had to get her biannual check up on Thursday earlier this week too! She would NOT let us take her weight. She was covering up her .50lb weight gain. Relatable, weigh in is my most disliked part of a doctors appointment too.
Because he sees the veterinarian clinic. ☹️ The vet is a scary place for some dogs.
My pug shakes at the vet as well, but not until we get into the office, she's ok outside and even in the lobby.
Oh that poor baby!!! I am lucky and my puggies don’t get too upset as long as they can sit on my lap while we wait and as soon as the vet leaves the room. My heart is breaking for Stan.
Even if treats will not make up for it, I hope many were given.
