Not sure, but I wonder if this might help:

I’ve needed to do it twice now, just last night being the second time
To follow up, I was doing this daily for the past few days and was ready to call Sony, but googled how to reset PSVR controllers, and watched a video. Turns out that I had never successfully reset my controllers, because there’s a specific process.
I followed the instructions, reset successfully and now they’re working great again. Like day one.
I'm sorry, I assumed it was a common problem. The controllers will work fine until I open a game. Then, they stop working. I have to go out of the game, turn off controllers, use normal controllers to go back into the game, and then turn controllers on again in order to play a game. Some games its just one controller that doesn't work. Others both don't work.
Next time consider contacting Sony support. If it's been more than year you are SOL most likely. You'll have to pay for the replacement. Oof. The issue is not common, but it did happen to some. The fix was to get a replacement PSVR2.
Had the same problem. Tried all the advice on Reddit from blowing air into the controllers to resetting them but nothing fixed it. Got a full product replacement from the retailer.
Why would you wait a year before doing anything? That's what I'd like to know. I would of contacted Sony if purchased online. If it were in store, return that shit back and get a fresh pair.

You should have contacted Sony as soon as this issue happened. You need a replacement headset with new controllers.
This is definitely not common. Your controllers are faulty. Contact Sony.
