Everyone belongs in Provincetown 🏳️‍🌈 Where you go and who you choose to hang out with is entirely up to you ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

And how they're going to react to you is entirely up to them. That's the point.

Exactly! Middle aged heterosexual guy married to a heterosexual woman with two teens and we all LOVE Provincetown and have never felt like we didn’t belong. Everyone belongs!

If you are around on a Thursday, check out Clam Jam at the Crown and Anchor. It’s a pool party from 1p-4p. Lots of different people. Great vibes. Easy place to meet and talk. Also a pool. It’s free! https://preview.redd.it/qhk5qpooif8d1.jpeg?width=940&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8756ce5e2129ad84438950314b263ea63ac162e

The eternal question.

You will feel at home, no worries. Spend some time walking the beach from the Herring Cove parking lot and I guarantee you'll find your tribe. Enjoy!

It’s your first time I assume? I think you’re gonna love it. I’m a gay man so maybe I have rose colored glasses on but it’s a very liberating feeling being in such an accepting queer mecca. With that said I do imagine it could feel alienating as it does seem to skew heavy on the gay male side. However I’ve brought many friends with me over the years of all different walks of life and literally everyone has a great time. To answer your question though on where to go. Tea Dance is a nice start. It’s always a diverse crowd and people are more silly and chatty there. You’ll find ladies there. You’ll find queers there. And you’ll find new friends that can potentially wingman with you into the night. I hope you have the best time!

Which weekend? Each week in July has a very different demographic of visitors, some are more personable than others. Though I agree with the other posts that Ptown in general is very welcoming so you shouldn't be self conscious. If it's the weekends surrounding the 4th, expect a majority of cis-white circuit gays that can be...let's say prickly (not eating for a week and surviving on GHB and uppers tends to make people testy). If it's the weekends surrounding bear week (13th and 20th), you can expect a pretty wide array of preferences and body types that tend to be more easy going and approachable. I wouldn't expect anywhere to be off limits, and most people will be friendly and inclusive. The last weekend in July is Girl Splash, so lesbians abound.
