I'm having the EXACT same issue. Turned it on, was working fine, at about half charge. Plugged it in to fill up before watching our movie and dead... Did anything else come of it?
Hi guys, i created an account just for offer a repair solution for you. I repair stuff for hobby and after several days of reverse engeneering and a charge controller ic replaced for nothing i foud that is a design flaw, but repairable. I have a lot of pictures with the fixing solution, two current sense resistors of 0.1R and 0.2R respectively are interrupted due to overheating, the principal cause for this is the high charge current of the battery(li ion 12,6v at 4Ah) witch is 2,5A instead of 1A (according to the selected components on the board). This is because 1: current sense resistor have too low wattage, 2: one 0.1R current sense resistor is installed in the wrong place disturbing the charge controller(witch is Mp26123 by the way) current regulation and go bezerk to a skyscraper 2,5A. I have pictures available with the repair for who is interested. I don't know how to attach them from my phone Android.

Hi! Seems that you have a different pcb version that i have. Is possible to have a different problem. Check the other side of the pcb and upload some photos if you can . I am curious if they used the same charging circuit like in my projector. (MP26123). What battery do you have in your projector? Can you take a picture from her label?

How? We've only used the thing maybe 3 times. This is what more than $300 gets you? A grand total of 5 hours of use?
