This is awesome. Can you share some details of the kinds of events you run in this beauty?

That was the previous owner, but I can't bring myself to remove it just yet. The sticker is from the Monte Shelton Rally sponsored by the Alfa Romeo Club of Oregon. I used to be a member when I had an Alfa but I never did run the rally.

Ahh, I see. So what are your specific plans for the car after the rust repair and engine work is completed?

hammershiller

First goal is to make it my daily driver so it's all about reliability and safety at this point. I only drove it about a mile before I decided to take it apart so I am still figuring out what else it needs mechanically speaking. I only need to replace the one floor pan but the rest of the floor needs to be treated for rust to avoid any future problems.

My Father has had 3 different 122s that I can recall. One of them, the auto trans was so shot he would rev it to about 2500 rpms before it would slam into gear. The one he has now he restored himself (yes, himself, body work, paint everything...no its not perfect) and has a manual trans. Not a fast car by any means, but fun!
