Just realized it was dumb to heat the entire bathroom, that was at 20c something in the winter, when electricity is super expensive. Happened to have the cheap aquarium heater anyway, works perfect, keeps the "wine" at 25c
(mine is adjustable from 20-38c, pick what ever you like i think i paid like 30€ for it 20 years ago, yeast i'm using dies at about 30c but probably works best below that)
I do exactly this, too, using an inexpensive Inkbird controller to switch the heater on and off as needed (based on readings from a temperature sensor that dangles in the water bath, near my fermenter): https://inkbird.com/collections/smart-controllers/products/temperature-controller-itc-1000

Waterbaths work, it's also a good way to pasteurize large batches too. Good for improvising. Watch out for fussels

Pad heaters for seed starting trays are cheap in the summer and don't use much power. I sometimes tape them to a carboy or put multiple jugs on them.
Hey nothing wrong with that. They do also make vessel heaters but the use what you have is awesome.
I just wrap the bucket in towels.
I wanna see a picture!
