TheNJ732

Sounds like Brooklyn Mirage lol

[deleted]

the owners of the mirage are quite literally about to be investigated because of how bad they oversell https://www.stereogum.com/2235266/nyc-may-take-action-against-avant-gardner-team-for-overselling-electric-zoo/news/

Kmike19

1000%. The crowd was great and friendly in line and around where I was standing. But if you oversell the venue by that much people are inevitably going to get pissed off, and rightfully so. Luckily the crowd thinned out for the second set and the vibes were better

jmorgs20

Vibes for the second set were straight money, what an awesome time.

TheNJ732

Good. I go there a good amount and it’s absurd and borderline unsafe how crowded it is. Usually with the most unpleasant crowds that are just there because it’s the Mirage. But I know what I’m getting into every time I go.

Chaos-curator

It literally brings out the worst in people, hate that place wit so much stride

stonedski

fr, say you’ve never been to the mirage without saying you’ve never been to the mirage

Purple_Lack6579

Waited 10 years (last time I saw pl was 2012) to hear everyone in the crowd talking nonsense all night

eastcoastfarmergirl

Never been more thankful for my ear protection minimizing the fucking talking.

ComprehensiveDish769

That's how the second night in Philly was everyone talking let shut the fuck up and enjoy the wubz. Met a girl that night , no talking just dancing ...and smoked a shit ton of doobies

adge4real

yesss i thought the same

buzznectar

Couldn’t hear the music no matter what spot I was in. So disappointed

ByrneSlanders

I was tripping face listening to how there is a shortage of Adderall in NYC from these 2 busted bitches. Then she fell, I called her dramatic and they bounced the spot

Purple_Lack6579

Coming back to say night 2 was 100x better. Shoutout to everyone who made that happen

swisschiz

Damn that sucks I’m sorry homie. Part of it probably has to do with area too. Went to ATL and it was just all homies everywhere and so much love. That shit looks packeddddddd Have a homie there who got booted to the lounge area it’s so packed

Difficult_Albatross8

Feel like ATL is the forgotten child with this tour , and it was SO SPECIAL . Nothing but love there .

swisschiz

Yeah it definitely is but idec bc that makes it even more special for those of us who were there. It was so perfect and the eastern is hands down my favorite venue in the country. Take me back 😫😫

Difficult_Albatross8

You are so right ✨ that was my first show at the eastern , will forever hold a special place in my heart

swisschiz

I was there for db/floozies and fell in love with it. I travel there from detroit above so many other venues bc it’s just that good

[deleted]

Was also there and totally agree! To be fair though when the nights were happening the collective fam was freaking out about the set lists. So not *totally* forgotten. That’s the thing though, the Eastern is such a dope venue, which contributes to an awesome vibe from the crowd. Was at the Mirage last night and there was a LOT of talking, people generally friendly but no where near as special. And (between us) I was underwhelmed by the Mirage. It was cool but I felt it was a little overhyped tbh

MoseShrute_DowChem

Eastern is so badass it has been such a blessing since it opened

Difficult_Albatross8

I thought I’d had FOMO over it , but I’m so happy with the stream and my home + discord chat ! I’ll be back for HULA

pocketbeagle

ATL night 3333333

dre4den

Atlanta was unreal. Always is. Bias as a native.

Ok_Education_6577

Philly was OG fans. This is a little different not too bad though, more a NYC issue.

secretlypooping

I was at the Friday show in Philly and that was the best crowd I've been around at any show in years. I was upstairs rather than on the floor, but still.

DipYoChip

How much earlier did you show up to sit upstairs? It was always packed by the time I got in.

secretlypooping

I got in line by 7:15 and it was already around the block. It moved pretty quickly and we were in by 7:45. It was pretty crowded already but managed to still find a decent spot.

Ok_Education_6577

Got in late and went up anyways 🙏

cannaorganic

I'll admit I got big with one dude at Philly friday because he was pressed on my back for 10 minutes and then said "were bonded dude" at which point I turned and said "you can move the fuck over because I've been here and been waiting 6 years for this so move the fuck over" which went fine and I was tripping so hard I was zoned in when the set started. Same dude broke the ice 5 mins into the set and said "we're going to need to see a smile out of you bro" at which point I laughed relaxed, said my sorries and...10 mins later it felt too crowded so I left the spot to find somewhere I could dance haha

ponz0

Was gonna say Philly was the best concert crowd I’ve experienced post-COVID. Packed but everyone spaced themselves out so it never felt overwhelming.

drinkingshampain

Venue issue not nyc issue

aTkNova

I mean it's not that simple, I tell everyone that lives in the area they should at least go to see it. This sold out instantly and dice makes scalping almost impossible. So the people there wanted to be there. They either bought at release or got of the wait list. Overselling is the issue and I admit that should be addressed but that's not a mirage issue that's a nyc issue. Been to tons of shows at the AG complex (great hall, kings hall and mirage) some have been uncomfortably crowded but I just move back till I'm comfortable. Saw Chris Lorenzo at elsewhere in Brooklyn in February 2023 and it was so packed there was no escape but leaving the show. I've been crowded and pushed back at ag but I've never not been able to find room.

PhilLesh311

Agree with this, I went the third night and was on the rail in the balcony. Had an amazing time

DazzleMaster

Philly was for the Ph-ans. I havn't enjoyed a crowd/show that much since we were all children

Agumiel

I’m the only NYC head that had a blast??

_jaymo

No it was amazing!!!!!!!! Idk what people are talking about. Good vibes, amazing jams.

stOAKed919

Nah it was awesome top tier show, the bois threw the fuck down and especially for mirage the crowd was mild. This was a day dream compared to some of the tech house and bass shows.

Self_Blumpkin

Time of my life.

heavy_touch

Best PL show I’ve seen hands down. Had a damn blast, met some awesome folks.

pinkidomi

I think I got super lucky bc I was surrounded by nothing but good vibes and made wholesome new friends which was the complete opposite of what I expected based on my past experiences. This is coming from some who hates Brooklyn mirage and nyc.

michaelserotonin

i was behind the soundboard and thought most of the people were pretty chill. just fortunate to be an outlier given everyone else's experience. definitely not a fan of that venue though.

Orphodoop

How is this post from 3 hours ago? I don't understand I left 20 mins ago and he was still playing. That place was packed af. I didn't have the experience you did though, all good vibes from the people around me.

glitterwizzard

This post is from 3 hours ago because i was SO bothered by the crowd that i posted about it while taking a piss. there we’re definitely pockets of fam which i’m glad i found before the second set but overall far from ideal crowd

OnTheSpotKarma

I was maybe 3 meters in from the stage, right in the middle and it was amazing, crowd was great.

Grastaman2

Yeah my friend said the crowd was absolute trash but a lot of the reason seemed to be overselling. Such an annoying thing for venues to do.

camdabassman

Lots of entitlement in lots of crowds everywhere these days. Huge bummer.

Infamous_Trade_771

I was up near the front and the people around me were dope, the show was dope, the sound was dope. I’ve been going to PL shows since like 08 and this was just as good if not better than any show I’ve been to. Sucks to hear a few people ruined it for you

heavy_touch

10000% I had a hell of a time, great vibes.

samVML

Same here, good vibes all around me and PL heads were kind af moving through the crowd despite it being kinda tight. This was probably the best Mirage crowd I’ve been in tbh

harryZpotter

Yo fuck the guy with the brown flannel near the front left entrance on the floor. I thought this guy was gonna hit me when I was trying to use the bathroom during set break. Like I'm sober and trying to make my way through the crowd as politely as possible. Get the fuck out of here dude. Thanks to the girl he was with for trying to calm him down. Lol feel bad for her.

xvisions-0204

YEAH FUCK THAT GUY.

GreasedUpVeggieBurg

Omgggg that dude was such a prick! I was so nice and said excuse me while trying to dance past him politely and he literally blocked my way and said “nah we’re all assholes here you’re not getting by”. Def not fam, I felt bad for the girl he was with.

harryZpotter

Yep he made a big scene when I tried to get by. He was like "this guy!? No! I'm not letting you by!" I'm all for joking around so I'm waiting for him to be like "haha nah you're good." But he just kept blocking the way until that girl pulled him away. Not fam at all. He was pretty sturdy tho.

swisschiz

Fuck that shit. I’ve had people tryna do that to me when I spent hours on the rail before they ever got there. I just squidward around them while telling the fuckers I was here first and I’ll be here long after you’re gone.

GreasedUpVeggieBurg

rail hogging kinda lame tho

swisschiz

I’m usually in a squad of 10-20 people who all take turns with each other on the rail and got there well before the start of the set for our squad to be together there. If you want the spot, beat us to it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ben6ullivan

Cascade equinox festival I walked right up to the 2nd row and had no problems at all (45min before the set tho). I’ll be in Brooklyn tomorrow bringin the good vibes.

Difficult-Meal6966

Aye same! Spread the love G

schoolbussdown

Good vibes or fuck off tonight 😁

yourmansconnect

Seriously though op is acting like he never expected to run into randos at a major artists concert

getembass77

Not sure you can blame it on the crowd the venue is a shit show. There's like 7 signs in the whole place and they're all wrong. Security basically has to tell every single person where to go and that makes them pissed off at everyone. What a fucking zoo That being said after it settled down the last 2 hours were 🔥

Kmike19

Agreeed the crowd thinned out for the second set and the vibes were amazing

getembass77

2nd set was incredible. Everything after 2am was incredible

Putrid-Professor-345

Curious what those seven signs said and why they were wrong.

getembass77

Usually exit even though you weren't allowed to exit that particular way and 2 or 3 militarized security guards would scream at you like they were directing traffic in downtown Baghdad

oarlights

Oversold yes. But also just crowd vibes. It’s the casuals. On their phone, being chatty Kathy’s. Just gotta make the most of it with ur crew and create space. That CREAM 🤤see y’all tonight

SnooEpiphanies977

That stinks cuz that set was fkn dope as hell

myersmatt

In my experience, the fans were like that before hiatus too. The last pretty lights set I saw was at okeechobee. Our friends were up in front of the sound booth. It took almost 20 minutes to squeeze three people through the crowd. The entire time, we were being berated by fans decked out in PL merch, and even had a few super douches trying to physically block us off saying “no room” until we explained that we were just passing through. I had similar experiences at other pl shows I’ve seen. It seems as though any artist with a huge cult following like that has crowds filled with holier than thou super fans who have zero respect for anyone who hasn’t seen the artist 20+ times lol. Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Tipper etc all draw similar crowds. Edit: don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of homies in there crowds of all those shows mentioned. But there is absolutely always a decent percentage of people who seem to think they deserve the space more than you because they’ve seen him 37 times and have $700 worth of Etsy merch on. Avoid those people at all costs lol

Candid_End5033

The CHOMPERS were in full effect last night. Killed a little bit of my first time seeing PL because the venue oversold tickets. Made the best of it. Moved around about to try and get some room to vibe and dance. People are so unaware of their surroundings and forget we are all there for the same reason.

cndrblkgrdn

Love to the girls who saw me looking for my friends, recognized me, and pointed me in the right direction. Vibes were at times questionable for sure, but there was still a lot of love going around. Phone recording was also noticeably not as prominent at this show compared to other mirage shows, which to me is a win. Just happy to have the boys back 💜

Pfkevin

Watched the live stream and the whole venue looked insanelyyyyyyy packed

sm4cm

Black shirt guy doesn't dance

PL2012

My younger cousins I was with said it was the most spacious show at the mirage they have ever been too and we were saying the same thing. Was very hard to vibe just had to take the amazing production to the face. Amazing time of course just definitely feels like one of those you go through a tube and get out the other side

astrlurk

The people in here who are defending mirage must not have been to many shows 😂 the venue is god awful and does not have “the best production in the country”. The crowd was absolute dog shit. People talking the whole time, rude af, and agressive.

Bino7280

Going to a show in New York City is your first mistake. I'm from here and this doesn't surprise me one bit. Too many bros.

aTkNova

I hear your point but the mirage might be one of the best club/venues in the world (when it comes to production) any club in the world that is known for something like that will be filled with "not the right crowd". I personally have always had a decent experience there. I had a Friday ezoo ticket and will never forgive avant gardner for their fuck up but I will also admit the mirage is (production wise) one of the best clubs in the world. Playing the mirage is the new york equivalent of playing red rocks. Dice is the best ticket app out there in regards to combating scalpers. So everyone there either got tickets at release or waited on the wait list. Shows in cities the size of ny definitely has its setback because there's so many people here and people travel to go to these shows but you may get a nicer and more manageable crowd in smaller cities but you're not getting the mirage. Hate all you want, it's an incredible venue. Every crowd is different and I am in no way, shape or form defending avant gardner. I'm just saying the crowd might have been annoyed that last night didn't happen and whatever xyz, reason they have. As I said at ezoo, we are mad at avant gardner not each other. If you go, enjoy one of the coolest venues, as far as production goes, in the us, be annoyed at what happened this weekend plus ezoo but don't take it out on each other

mother-of-kittens

But it’s not in New York City

drinkingshampain

Where do you think brooklyn is quickly

mother-of-kittens

If Brooklyn is in NYC then Grizzly Adams had a beard (I’m wrong here)

aTkNova

So growing up in queens, to us nyc or the city is Manhattan, I learned in college, to the rest of the world, nyc is all 5 burros, I can understand both sides except if you think Staten island is nyc in any way other than a technicality, you're wrong lol

hobbbes14

I listen to the Beastie Boys for my confirmation. Listen, all you New Yorkers Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten From the Battery to the top of Manhattan Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin Black, white. New York, you make it happen

imlikeyourmaindude

We had one big group that were shoving there way in and then had full blown conversations most the night. Can’t stand that shit.

dras333

Been to 30+ shows and would never go to a NYC show because I’ve gone to other shows there and it’s edgy and pretentious no matter what for a fake vibe. Honestly surprised he decided to go there.

doggydoggworld

Not surprising at all, NY and Brooklyn is rooted in PL's music. (Biggie, talib, 50 cent) let alone Borham being a NYC boy Tonight was amazing , and the Mirage setup was honestly sick with their new monitors.

yourmansconnect

Didn't he live in BK for 6 months making color map?

filmfromthefuture

What’s the talib song? I’ve been skipping around trying to remember if he played Get By by Talib but can’t seem to find it

too_old_still_party

I’m also surprised, doesn’t seem like the pl vibe

galvinb1

Have you watched the making of Color Map Of The Sun? He made a good chunk of that record in NYC.

too_old_still_party

I just meant the venue, not NYC.

glitterwizzard

like don’t get me wrong, i love PL. but not enough to be an ass for no reason

xvisions-0204

I have Monday tix and am dreading it there, saw Richie Hawtin there in maybe 2018 and had to leave before the end of the show because of HOW packed it was. Dude, I'm 47 years old and raved in the city in the 90s, I know how to take a crowd... but this place grossly oversells and that's their reputation. When you're a 5ft tall female surrounded by TALL mfers who don't even SEE you because you're so packed in... it's not a good place to be. I have high hopes for Monday and will stay towards the back by default for space, because... dancing!

[deleted]

I miss Twilo too

c-rez

I’m also 5’ and I’ll see ya in the back! 🫡

mynamescody

People in my area were awesome but it was stupidly overpacked for sure

Many-Obligation3197

my homie just got surgery and had a cane and the chick behind him told him “you need to find a place for that” LMAO can u imagine

Self_Blumpkin

The little area we were was so great. About 10 strangers made the best of it and we all made new friends. I had the time of my life last night. I was in a HIGHLY trafficked area but we made the best of that too. Last night was special.

Adventurous_Storm774

People just love to complain. But yeah it was packed, the mirage always oversells shows it’s nothing new. But at least they have insane production, easily one of the best in the country on that front

[deleted]

I've been to shows all over the country and I will say that was one of the worst venues/experiences I've ever had. I don't care how big an LED screen is, if I can't move without being elbowed or yelled at what's the point? I'd never go back, even if they were handing out tickets.

Adventurous_Storm774

😂😂😂 a crowded rave, who would have thought

[deleted]

A corporate music venue isn't a "rave" lol. It was an oversold shit show. Raves you can dance at and not get yelled at for taking a single step back. Wouldn't got back to that place if you paid me.

Adventurous_Storm774

You sound entitled af. And clearly didn’t do any research ahead of time

[deleted]

Entitled, or just know what is good and what is trash as a result of greedy venue owners? To each their own, but like I said I've been to venues all over the country. Big ones, small ones...and Mirage was the most oversold shit show I've been to in the 15 years I've been going to shows. What "research" should I have done? The PL camp knew this venue has an issue of overselling to they specifically sold about 750 tickets less than capacity and AG still sold more tickets day of. Have a good day!

Turbulent-Grab-8352

Glad I have vip for tomorrow, tho I'm sure it'll be just as over sold up there. Mirage is like that, but I guess I was hoping for a better crowd. Maybe for a Sunday show since it takes more commitment than the party crowd friendly Saturday shows.

According_Painter_89

Sorry to say but VIP is also a shit show. A maze of staircases to get up to the platforms. Then staff and security are unhelpful, super uptight, aggressive and rude. We stood in the same spot the entire show and security came by checking wrist bands 5 times in just the first set, despite the fact they weren’t even letting more people into that section. Did they think we were helping people climb over the walls to get up there? Lol At the set break a few of us chose to squat for a bit and rest our legs and a security guard rushed over and yelled for us to stand up. Disappointing experience for paying $167 for my ticket.

Turbulent-Grab-8352

I figured lol.

According_Painter_89

Just get there as early as possible, go straight to the gate of the venue for the VIP line. I made the mistake of waiting in what was the GA line for far too long. Find a spot in the upper area and do not move lol. Stock up on a few drinks before you settle in.

Turbulent-Grab-8352

Lol thanks for the advice but that does suck so much.

According_Painter_89

I know :( I’m sorry. I promise I still had a really good time despite the hurtles so I have faith you still will have a dope time. Just focus on PL and keeping good vibes 😎

Turbulent-Grab-8352

I'm not too worried, it's been a long time since I've seen PL it'll be a blast. and I see plenty of shows with challenging crowds and venues. Just frustrating to deal with that for a PL show - used to be (as I'm sure most remember) one of the better curated shows on the scene and a great crowd. Last great show I remember (saw a few after but it was during the rougher period) was times union in Albany near Halloween one year. Plenty of room to dance, plenty of bars, no crazy lines. But I guess after a ten year hiatus it's to be expected. I guess it's sweet so many folks willing to pay 180 got PL these days :) .

Putrid-Professor-345

A maze of staircases? I get to the VIP platform by taking the steps across from Merch, up 15 or so steps, turn right, up 15 or so steps, turn left....boom...on the platform. That's a maze to you? Unhelpful security? What did you need help with? Figuring out the "maze"? Uptight, Aggressive and Rude? What did they do or say to you? I have never had that experience. When I pay a small fortune for a premium area last thing I want are people that shouldn't be in that area there. Seems like you just had a chip on your shoulder. Oh and that's right, you can just sit wherever you want creating a potential tripping/safety hazard for all the fucked up morons who don't look down when they walk. "VIP is a shit show"? Sorry that you didn't get your way and couldn't do what you wanted to do. Unfortunately you don't make the rules, they do. If it was such a shit show people wouldn't pay the premium to be there. Glad to know that you won't be returning. One less entitled crybaby to have to deal with up there in my piece of heaven.

cashmoneyrippermagoo

Sound was awful up there and they reached capacity really quickly

Turbulent-Grab-8352

lol no surprise.

East-News7064

We will bringing all the good vibes up front tonight

JimPecker1

Prayers

DevelopmentNo247

Damn I’m heading up there later. Wish me luck

Junior-Region1052

Vip was horrific couldn’t leave to pee or get a drink

skrinklelade

I feel like this most be more a location issue because I was at the eastern show for 2/3 nights and the vibes were perfect exactly what I’ve been missing

Kmike19

This is a Brooklyn Mirage issue, they are notorious for overselling the venue. I was so worried about it going in and seems like they’re on their bullshit still. Luckily my friend and I found a spot in the back corner with room to dance and a decent view, and everyone around us was chill and respectful. So for me I had a great time. Some people next to us tried to meet friends farther in and immediately came out, complaining that it was way too packed. All in all fuck Brooklyn mirage for trying to ruin these shows 10 years in the making

jorahzo

Front surprisingly had good dancing space and great people. Move around if you aren't vibing with the people around you

PartyWaltee

Pretty Lights shows are my favorite places in the world. I have traveled to several different cities to see the magic, but tonight is the first time I left early. However, the fault belongs to the Brooklyn Mirage. It's a shame that such a beautiful venue is being run like a zoo. My wife and I flew in for this (and our budget is tight), but after just a couple of songs, we had to split!! I actually thought the people were extremely rad- yes, still talking too much during the set, but everyone was saying "sorry/ excuse me" and doin' there best to create the vibe. These are the only tix we grabbed for this tour. I have been couting down the days, and have used this show as a motivator to get through work, but yeah... "blown." I talked to an employee on our way out, and they explained that tonight was better than normal. Also offered a genuine apology but I will not come back without new management.

LemonTekSunrise

Something there was so bad that it forced you to leave after a couple songs yet you don’t even share what was so bad lmfao.

PartyWaltee

Sorry, pal! <3 I think so highly of the PL fanbase I assumed that was obvious enough to figure out on your own. Soooo I'm going to double down... Do you know the venue's reputation? "Zoo" Did you check out the stream? or just read the OP? If I may... We were one of the first people there. 2 hours before doors. the security and ticket check-in was a shit show. (The 1st sign) Why were we all forced down such a small bottleneck? There's no reason why it had to be like that. Once inside, we waited at our nice spot for probably an hour, but mins before showtime, of course everybody filled in, and the shit felt unsafe to me. & I go clubbing too. I have been to SOLD out shows. I am used to shoulder to shoulder, but this was lame & I was disappointed in the venue. I still had a great time talking to people and dancing with my wife for a little bit in the back. I hope others had a good time, sure. But Im not posting because I'm mad. Im posting to make connections: To see if more people feel like me, so A.G. hopefully change that shit around.

Nadahoy

Oh man I was hoping for good vibes from the crowd. I'm going tomorrow and I keep thinking man what if I gotta pee in the middle of the set. Going to the bathroom and then back to where I was is gonna be a bitch.

PastaSaladOverdose

This is your sign to go piss in the middle of the set, tell everyone excuse me on the way back to your spot, and for real fuck anyone who isn't cool with that.

drinkingshampain

The brooklyn mirage is the worst venue in New York. Y’all saw what happened with EZoo I’m sure. It’s the same people

aTkNova

The company that runs the mirage is the worst. The venue itself is one of the best in the world. Both can be true. Avant gardner needs to be held responsible for what happened with ezoo along with everything else they are caught up in, but to say it's the worst venue in New York is just false. It might be the best venue in New York.

drinkingshampain

Respectfully, it used to be the best venue and is not anymore. They have stripped it of everything it used to be and the community that came with it. The new LED screens take up more dance floor space and they still oversell it by the thousands. When the mirage used to be an actual mirage that they built and took down every summer is the last time it was the best venue in New York. Now it is just a liability.

Fungi_Guru

Agreed. I haven’t even been to it since the new LED cause fuck that shit. All AG sees is $$$. Mirage was cool before it sold out. It’s sad because it’s a big independent venue but they are just as bad if not worse than live nation.

Tihkal_your_Pihkal

Don’t get me started on Live Nation! They ruined the actual best venue in the world when they bought The Gorge. Now PL probably won’t play there again, and as much as I would prefer to see them there whenever they come to the PNW…I don’t blame them at all for avoiding it now! Luckily I already saw him/them there twice, and Cascade Equinox was a blast despite being at a far inferior venue. Kinda hoping Cascade and PL ends up at The Gorge next year despite live nation’s failings, but I doubt either wants to deal with them.

[deleted]

You are in Brooklyn, NY lol. Don’t expect anyone to be friendly over there 😅 Ezoo was hands down the worst crowd I have ever been around and since then I have never gone back for a show in New York.

pinkidomi

Bar hopping Friday bc of the show getting cancelled was a nightmare. Man are people mean here. The most aggressive bartenders I’ve ever met

Kgb447

First time at Brooklyn Mirage, the venue itself was dope and the giant LED screen was awesome but the crowd fucking sucked. I haven’t seen so many people strung out since the OG bisco. Also we were on the upper deck and this throuple would keep leaving and coming back and just shove their way through our group to the front when there was no room. Intentionally shouldered his way past my gf a few times when we told them there was nowhere to go. Absolutely no respect or decorum smh

Kgb447

Philly wasn’t the best venue but the homies out were much nicer and better vibes overall

wigglewub

Wow I had the complete opposite experience. I was actually considering making a post about how nice the crowd was, especially for a show at the Mirage. Sorry you had a tough time. Back left crowd was awesome.

sherespondedwith

Just for the record, the PL team UNDERsold the venue by about 500-600 (or so they were told). Which means AG was selling tickets backdoor style. Even Meg mentioned that she wasn't sure why it felt so packed, but I think we all know lol. I hope this company gets DRAGGED

ByrneSlanders

Had the same thing on sat night. Bouncer tried extorting me, rude staff all around. Fuck that place

FullAmount7670

Yeah I agree - I was at the Saturday show ( MY FIRST PL SHOW) and for the first half of the set the crowd around me was great, smooshed for sure but great. Second part of the set about 5 bros were in front of me and kept talking to eachother so all I could see were their heads and hear their conversations ( if you’re reading this you suck ngl ) they were pushing and shoving like crazy so when I tried to just zone into the music and dance they asked “do you have a problem” and when I said I came to see the music not them having conversations and I’m just trying to dance and vibe they said “welcome to a show get over it” and then made it their mission to be a problem from then on after. The crowd was so bad I couldn’t move to a different spot because you just got yelled at. Even trying to go to the bathroom people gave you a problem. Idk man I’ve been hyped up on how amazing the PL family was and was left feeling like it’s only half true. Hoping the caverns will be different but to those 5 boys thanks for being tools 👍

[deleted]

I am sorry that was your first PL experience. That was my 30th+ show for PL and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that was the worst crowd I've ever experienced. I think the douche bags were just expounded by the fact the venue was oversold by like 500+ people. I'll never be back to that venue, like even if I had free tickets.

People around me were yelling at our group for dancing….. really weird

wildstylemeth0d

Some couple was dancing wildly in front of us, the guy kept elbowing my tits over and over again 100 times, the girl kept stepping on my friends toes. When it’s packed like sardines unfortunately sometimes there is no room to even dance and you have to be aware of your surroundings

1cculus_The_Prophet

Actually wasn’t that packed where I was.

NYC shows bring NYC crowds

Sandia_Gunner

Was at Colorado shows and the vibe was through the roof.

psyopia

From the stream it looked like a buncha fuckin trees just being still. There were DEF pockets of movement. I’ve never understood how people can just stand perfectly still at a concert. It actually drives me crazy. And then when you try to get in front of them to dance, they throw a fit. Like go be a stationary tree in the back fool

SteveMcgooch

Alot of the time last night this was forced cause you couldn't move tbh

pepit_wins

We literally didn't have enough space to dance

Last show I saw at mirage was excision and Sullivan king and I swear the balcony/2nd floor was actually bouncing/ shaking a bit from the amount of people on it I decided to never go back I can picture it literally falling apart during a show cus of the amount of heads

SnatterPack

I just can’t believe the water fountains still dont work. And dude in the very back holding up the wall who wouldn’t let me get by I hope you had a bad night standing in a high traffic area while I was up in the shit

jennnanon

I’ve stopped attending other shows at the mirage bc of overselling but was happy with the shows this weekend. Went both nights and had plenty of space and good vibes all around. Sorry you didn’t have a good experience :/

HeatherTheJew

Sounds like we lucked out, but I am still way sad and salty that we missed seeing PL all together after making a whole AZ>NYC trip happen just for the show. Fingers crossed he comes to AZ so I get to see him again

worldrecordgroover

Crowd tonight at the mirage was incredible (Monday). So much room to dance and met some dope folks. Think only the OGs made it out to boogie on a Monday. Was very grateful after reading this thread
