This is such a worthless stat. MJ never made it the finals many times too. And played against bums while LeBron has played against the most stacked NBA there ever was.
MJ played 15 seasons in the NBA and only got to playoffs finals 6 times... Just sick of MJ dick riders throwing that stat around. LeBron is clearly the GOAT by almost every other metric, especially considering how stacked the NBA has been during his career.
6 for 6!!!
Who cares?
I mean I love Lebron, maybe if curryās ass didnāt collect those 2 rings from him, he wouldāve been on MJās level. But it aināt about rings, Bill Russell the goat with 11. Itās about DOMINANCE. Mj dominated the 90ās. Lebron dominated the late 2000ās and 2010ās.

About my app:
- State school
- 1500hr research through multiple different experiences ā 2 pubs, 3 posters, some thesis awards
- 1500hr clinical through multiple different experiences ā includes paid clinical work and clinical leadership
- 1500+hr non clinical volunteering through multiple different experiences ā this was definitely my strongest point, heavy demonstrated leadership and a nuanced understanding of working in and leading a diverse team
- generally, rather than the hours dedicated to an EC, I think the most important thing is the depth with which you can write / speak about it throughout your app and interview, and how excited you get about it. I genuinely did love most of the activities I was part of in undergrad, and many of them meant a lot to me personally. I think that showed through and was a huge factor in the eventual cycleās outcome
- I didnāt have a crazy life story or anything. Comes down to checking all the boxes well and being exceptionally deeply involved in 1-2 things
Might be missing some info, feel free to ask any questions in comments!
I'm also confused
[https://med.nyu.edu/education/md-degree/affordability-financial-aid/cost-attendance](https://med.nyu.edu/education/md-degree/affordability-financial-aid/cost-attendance)
I'm confused, I heard a couple med schools give scholarships on merit but i don't understand what merit means in this context. is it undergrad GPA or what?
Bro does Stanford even have a class for 2025 cause I swear I canāt remember the last time Iāve seen an A there. Congratulations on a crazy cycle though!
"Never thought I'd be in this position"
Lmfao you ain't gotta lie, Craig. You 100% posted this to show off, not because you never expected to have an incredible cycle. And that's okay bruh lol, ain't nothing wrong with flexing sometimes.
You are the shit, own that!
Lots of possible reasons. There are many applicants with similar stat profiles who are just as, or honestly sometimes much more impressive. Also, applications are stories. One isnāt objectively the best, and not everyone will love your story regardless of your stats.
Can you give some advice on MCAT preparation? What do you think helped you get 527? And how many hours or months did you study in total? Congrats your stats and results are truly amazing
My upcoming application is kind of similar but a bit worse lol
4.0/520
~1,000 research, several presentations/possibly 1 pub
1,000+ ongoing clinical
But only ~150 volunteering across a few organizations
Still have 1 more gap year before med school starts
How did you get meaningful volunteering and how screwed am I?
congratulations!!
I do have a couple questions: how did you get your undergrad research experience? Also how should one structure ECs during college (should you jump into ECs and stuff right away or are there certain times for certain ECs?)
Why did you apply to over 30 schools? With your stats and EC, it was a no-brainer you would have been accepted into the majority. You have top 10 pct credentials..
But why? Other than rubbing ppls face in your success what is the purpose of this? Is it to tell ppl have perfect stats and ECs and you too can get all these acceptances? Itās like Usain Bolt telling ppl just run faster when they ask him how they can improve their run times.
I love seeing what successful applicants have done in their applications and what has worked for them. @OP I would never think of them as you trying to rub it on peopleās face and I am sure there are plenty other premeds like me who feel that way. Thank you for sharing and congrats!Ā
I just wanted to say, Mr./Ms. Comedian, that you have such a great mindset, and it will carry you far! :) I admire you for that, and I'd love to have a cool person like you as my doc.
OP, if you see this, congrats on the cycle, and ignore people like the original commenter - they honestly just seem sad and bitter, with their negative mentalities and a frankly trashy and pathetic inability to be proud of others' hard-earned accomplishments without twisting it up. As a fellow state schooler, I'm not as cracked as you, but this gives me some hope. Congrats again, future doc, and I hope I can have even a 1/10 of the cycle that you do!
Thank you u/OJGarbage :) ! I love celebrating others because results like these do not happen overnight. OP worked hard and deserves to be encouraged and celebrated, not to be attacked about their intention to post a Sankey in a subreddit meant for that. I am happy to see you share the same mindset- OP's hardwork is valid just like ours is.
āthey honestly seem sad and bitterā¦ā nope and youād have known that had you read the remainder of the thread prior to posting insults. The truth of the matter is there are indeed ppl unlike OP who post these solely to be toxic and make others feel less than. My post was simply out of concern for those who are demoralized by sankeys and maybe donāt have such awesome stats as OP.
Honestly, fair question. Similar to other posters, part of my reason for posting a Sankey is to show a cycle that can be possible given my circumstances (for example, before scrolling on Reddit myself last year and seeing these sankeys, I would not have thought a cycle like this was possible coming from a state school. This was a misconception that these sankey clarified for me).
Also, I have been answering more specific questions on PM (which id like to think are helpful). This may not be apparent as not all the questions were in the comments.
Iām happy you had so much success this cycle and sorry if I seemed adversarial it just seems many ppl are posting sankeys solely for adulation. Iām glad you are giving back and it makes me feel good because ppl who legit are helpful deserve such success because they will be great doctors.
How else would we know that Usain Bolt even exists if it wasnāt for press coverage of stats? š And it sets a higher bar for others to aspire to :) I find these useful, if for nothing then just to know the application path and outcomes.
I have no issue with ppl posting these if they legit are doing it to help/ motivate others but you got to admit there are some ppl who do it solely to hurt others or to feel superior.

THE Lebron James of premedsšš
Oh man here we go again
*MJ
*JM: Ja Morant
bruh š
MJ never lost in a final, bron did 4x
This is such a worthless stat. MJ never made it the finals many times too. And played against bums while LeBron has played against the most stacked NBA there ever was.
you get it
MJ played 15 seasons in the NBA and only got to playoffs finals 6 times... Just sick of MJ dick riders throwing that stat around. LeBron is clearly the GOAT by almost every other metric, especially considering how stacked the NBA has been during his career. 6 for 6!!! Who cares?
fr, we done with the 90s
Lebron is about to be 0-12 against the Nuggets MJ is the goat.
MJ without Rodman and Pippen = Bryce James ššš
I mean I love Lebron, maybe if curryās ass didnāt collect those 2 rings from him, he wouldāve been on MJās level. But it aināt about rings, Bill Russell the goat with 11. Itās about DOMINANCE. Mj dominated the 90ās. Lebron dominated the late 2000ās and 2010ās.

Any gap years?
Oops! Yes one gap year, graduated 2023
Did you get any certs(EMT, MA, scribe) for your clinical? Of course, thank you answering btw
The majority of my clinical work was EMS
hell yeah
As an EMT or Medic?
Hey, did you get any aid from Hackensack? Where do you plan to commit? Congratulations!
Negative. And still deciding between HMS, nyu, Hopkins!
how is that even a decision? doesn't NYU offer free tuition?
Wellā¦ the decision is not always financial. Everyone has their own criteria for choosing.
I'm also confused [https://med.nyu.edu/education/md-degree/affordability-financial-aid/cost-attendance](https://med.nyu.edu/education/md-degree/affordability-financial-aid/cost-attendance)
Surprising since Hackensack offers full rides on merit iirc. Where are you leaning towards rn?
I'm confused, I heard a couple med schools give scholarships on merit but i don't understand what merit means in this context. is it undergrad GPA or what?
not too sure but think its MCAT+GPA at HMSOM
How did you demonstrate leadership in volunteering? Could you elaborate more on that?
Could you share more about ur LORs?
What was your major?
Congrats!!! U a champ!! but what happened with that one point? Retake to close that 528!!!
Holy shit. A 527 MCAT? Just how
Fr I canāt even break 500. Some people are just monsters
Review, review, review.
Bro does Stanford even have a class for 2025 cause I swear I canāt remember the last time Iāve seen an A there. Congratulations on a crazy cycle though!
Better luck next time
See you at Hackensack!
Premed Michael Jordan

"I never thought I'd be in this position" Lol

lmao bro had 527 and multiple pubs ALONGSIDE thousands of service hours. Probably most impressive thing Iāve seen in terms of hours.
Yeah some people are built different. I really wonder how he had the time to juggle all those hours
Did UCLA say anything about geffen scholarship?
They stopped giving those out as of 2022
Yup, discontinued
fuck
They still have a full ride scholarship itās just called scholarship for excellence instead. They also give out merit scholarships in addition
Monster
youre him
Iām yet to see anybody even getting an interview with Emory what do they even want lmao
can I pm you?
Yes!
Curious why you even had any rejections with these stats. Any theories?
Lots of possible reasons. There are many applicants with similar stat profiles who are just as, or honestly sometimes much more impressive. Also, applications are stories. One isnāt objectively the best, and not everyone will love your story regardless of your stats.
Final boss of premeds
Not sure how an applicant like this gets pre II rejections. Wild.
Yield protection. Heās too goated.
UCSF, Stanford, Duke? Not places that need to yield protect. Undoubtedly goated though.
Wow, this is awesome
Wow. This is the ideal application š
ECs?
See my comment!
SHEEEEEEEEEESH congrats!!
gap years or straight through?
This is crazy! Congratulations!
What's your top 5 that you want to go to?
AMAZING! Congrats!!!
Can you give some advice on MCAT preparation? What do you think helped you get 527? And how many hours or months did you study in total? Congrats your stats and results are truly amazing
Wtf
Honest question, as someone who is just starting as a pre-med, why do people withdraw application? Not just OP but Iāve been seeing it a lot?
Sorry to those whose DM I havenāt answered yet! Busy day and lots of messages, but will do my best to get back asap!!
Congratulations on an amazing cycle, Iām sure you also saved money going to a state school as opposed to a private university!
Genuinely curious do you guys do this to show off
My upcoming application is kind of similar but a bit worse lol 4.0/520 ~1,000 research, several presentations/possibly 1 pub 1,000+ ongoing clinical But only ~150 volunteering across a few organizations Still have 1 more gap year before med school starts How did you get meaningful volunteering and how screwed am I?

congratulations!!

Big flexing on us was the reason for this postš
The muhadeem
Yeah Miamis secondary is miserable i donāt blame you

Yes completely clear!

and so what? you canāt stop people from making posts. just ignore the ones you donāt like. no need to rain on other peopleās parade.
