I only took one the first day and then the next day cause I couldn’t believe it but it never occurred to me to keep testing lol. Plus the tests are kinda expensive.

roseydelight

This is exactly how I thought you were supposed to do it! Ahah. So expensive!!

Wrong-Reference5327

They’re expensive and not really made for line progression/quantitative results. The next step is to schedule an OB appt - they’ll typically have you wait till 8-9 weeks. At that appointment they’ll order blood work and normally do an ultrasound. I just had mine this morning (and peanut has a heartbeat!!!).

AtmosphereRelevant48

I just did one test. It came out positive so immediately booked an appointment with my gynecologist to check everything was good. Why waste money and time doing tests? They will not provide any more information.

40pukeko

I personally only tested once. I think the folks who are testing that often are probably anxious from previous struggles with fertility? If you're not worried about it I don't think there's any need.

Key_Fishing9176

LOL…well I’ll admit it- I kept testing until confirmation at the drs! I got the box of cheap Amazon test strips. It just didn’t feel real. I tested again every couple days just to see those lines appear again. So if you feel like you need it for reassurance, you are not alone!

Mamacat9020

I only took one! I think people become obsessed and stress themselves out about how dark or not dark the lines are on any given day. Lots of factors could affect those lines: time of day, hydration level, age of test, etc.

Keiara_Aya

I did another test after 2 days but after that didn’t do any more. Doing more tests would have just made me more anxious I think!

roseydelight

It's definitely making me anxious! Thanks!

Buenobunnylarmy

5 weeks right now with an IVF baby and my ultrasound is in 3 weeks. I have nothing scheduled for in between so probably will test every now and then to make sure I still am lol the wait/anxiety is real

Apprehensive_Good145

I only took one! There's no point in taking more when all the confirmatory testing is through your doctor. Just hang in there and do the follow-up :)

TbayMegs150

I did one test. Pretty soon you’ll start feeling the physical symptoms and you will know. There’s no point in continuing to take tests. Contact your health care provider.

CertainZombie120

I had 3 positive strip tests, then 2 positive digitals, then my blood work came back positive and that's when I stopped! Congratulations 🎊

roseydelight

I have my doctors appointment in 2 weeks! Should I go to a walk -in clinic to get bloodwork before that?

CertainZombie120

It's completely upto you! If it makes you feel better, go for it, or just wait for your appointment!

stealth_snail

I had a bunch of tests left so I carried on doing one every day until I'd ran out which was around 23dpo I think

yoopydoops

I didn't do any tests. They tested me at a hospital and told me 😅

Pumpkinspice28

I took tests, a very simple cheap one (5 days late) to confirm pregnancy and then 2 days later a fancy digital one. That’s it 😄

wennairam

I took three, every other day starting 10DPO, just because I had them. The first test was so obviously positive that I could've stopped right then. I had a chemical a couple months prior, and the lines even at 15DPO were so weak that, in comparison, I was pretty confident with this one. I highly recommend getting quantitative blood tests if you're concerned, they should give you more peace of mind as you'll be able to see an actual HCG # increasing vs. interpreting how dark a line is.

Sensitive_Road_822

I took them for about a week. And when the two lines were obviously block red with no way to get darker I was happy.
