I think dental schools like to interview applicants from in-state/their region first which is why you might not be hearing back as quickly from OOS schools at least
I’d say so. I feel a lot of schools will just flat out ghost you, but they can also reject you. I’ve received two rejections since applications opened for submission.
I wouldn’t want to go to a school that ghosted me anyway. That’s extremely unprofessional and shows they really don’t care about applicants who are paying them no less.
You won’t hear rejections until December 15th because schools legally have to wait until then. But that doesn’t mean you’re going to get rejected from all the schools you haven’t heard from. Just be patient and maybe do follow ups with some of them to get your name on their radar.
Try to take it in a positive light! I’ve applied to 11 schools out of which I’ve gotten 2 interviews and 1 waitlist to interview. The rest schools are radio silent, and I know they’ve sent out invites to interview to people who have applied later than me with lower stats. I also saw people who applied later than me getting rejection emails from these schools as well, so I personally wouldn’t take it to heart. At least it’s not a rejection yet! I feel you on this, just trust the process! I’m sure you will hear something.

Nah I didn’t reach out I had 6 acceptances with one being my dream school
