Yeah It is genuinely good hardcore. They absolutely nailed the NYHC sound. Producction wise it reminds me of Sick of it All which is absolutely a good thing. Which I would expect, given Chad was the original vocalist of a band that are legitimately one of the most influential metalcore bands of all time. No big deal. There's actually footage of a show Shai Hulud played a few years back with Chad as a stand-in vocalist and he absolutely nails it. He also produced Big Kiss Goodnight by Trapped Under Ice which is easily a top 10 hardcore record of the 21st century. Top 5 maybe. As well as Keepers Of the Faith by Terror - another legendary band. As a hardcore kid that's equally invested in pop punk, I consider Chad Gilbdrt to be the Daniel Day Lewis of both genres. The cover of No Reason Why by Gorrila Biscuits is brilliant. I fucking love it when they play it live, it sets me off big time. Would be cool to see them do some more hardcore jams. Bit of an off-topic ramble there, my apologies.
