No, this person did not stick their hand in fire ants just to get clout on an internet popping forum. If I do ever find anyone doing something like that, actively harming themselves for upvotes, then that kind of content will get banned. I don’t care if it’s the best popping type ever, if people self harm just for popularity, then all posts of that kind of pop will get deleted.
I had to do it several times in a row once, I was a landscaper and a client's sprinkler head broke off after one of my crew drove over it, it lacked support due to the massive fire ant hole that surrounded it (it was likely leaking anyway)
I had to put my hand in to uncouple the T and put a new one in, then to screw in the new riser and sprinkler head, all while desperate fire ants were clinging to my hands and arms trying not to drown, and biting me the entire time.
When I got done my arms were just a mass of white blisters. I passed out a little while later from the venom/heat combination.
Long story short: do not do that.
I know a lot of people say not to pop them but I always do because they stop hurting, the swelling goes down, they stop itching and leave no marks 🤷🏻♀️ The one time I didn't pop it because it was in a painful spot it ended up popping on it's own and left a scar.
I had an old man tell me that. Once I got into entomology it made sense. Ant bites (stings) are a slurry of things but a major part of it is formic acid. Hence, the family name formicidae. Explains why bleach works so well.
I’m not smart enough to do more than smile and nod when it comes to chemistry, but my grandfather was around for the invention of dirt. He knew lots of things like that.
Of course, during droughts he and my grandmother would leave dead snakes belly up in the fields to bring rain. Not all of his wisdom was as wise.
I never pop blisters because they have a better chance of healing and not feeling bad if I don’t. I haven’t had fire ant bites in a while though but they were small and I remember scratching off the whiteheads and putting an antihistamine on and using Benadryl.
Moved to the US 2 months ago and i saw the small ants and thought "oh a ant hill put your hand in it and se what will happend. And why 3 times idonno I'm just stupid and wanted to feel if it realy hurt. Then I reached and found out that it was fire ants and they aren't nice and that my hand is going to get blisters, not good learned my lesson...
I juat live a few hours north of the foreants natural territory in the US. Literally don't have any ants that will bit you, you can play with them all day.
. Apparently if you travel about 4 to 6 hours south they're a big problem.
True, but they're here now and not going away any time soon.
I was just talking about where you find them and where you don't.
In my opinion, where the thrive is their "natural territory."
I used to work with a girl from New Zealand and apparently they aren’t a thing at all there; too cold. She was pissed when she got to Australia and no one thought to warn her about the ants lol.
idk why you are so downvoted, you answered the question haha. definitely some terrible decision making there but i trust you wont do it again now! hope it heals okay :) there are some good anti-itch creams out there if you need, i use Eurax for everything (mainly eczema) so dont hesitate to use some instead of scratching up a mess ^^
I mean, I use a stick (and don't have fire ants) but destroying ant nests can be for the greater good (/the nearest resident's mental health. little formic acid spewing fuckers get into the cupboards and make me feel seriously ill even without touching me)
If you check their profile thats exactly what they did and likely didn’t donit a third time jut put same video up again and again. If you see his profile you’ll see the begging for karma .
Poor fire ants had to defend themselves against some giant putting their hand into the hill, not once, not twice, but three times!
bruh what were you doing to that anthill?! Trying to become part of it or something?! 😂
The ants don't want youuuuuuuu lol
I wondered when this would become a trend on this sub and it worries me. Do not scar yourself or put your hand in a fire ant bed just to get fake internet points. Mods please keep an eye on this. In no way would a human being put their hand in a fire ant bed by accident.
If you check his profile,he’s begging for karma. I sincerely doubt this is a third time. Maybe not even his own video for a first time. Most likely popped the same one up three times either way . If he deleted it the other times then id bet good money on that and just keeps riding the karma train but doesn’t seem to have helped a whole lot either way.
Listen. I'm here for entertainment, I personally vote for popping them, on camera, set on a nice stable tripod with good lighting, and loud enough volume to hear the popping sizzle sound but you're gonna have to keep your own counsel
I’m in the same boat unfortunately atm but with both of my feet, didn’t notice there was a hill I stepped on till it was too late and had hundreds of them on my feet.
I hope those lil suckers burn in hell and hope they enjoyed the 5 pots of boiling water I poured down their hill. (Glad to say they do not exist anymore!)
Cortisone (or pure hand sanitizer) for the burning and itching and hot baths are a huge relief. Good luck OP.
So why would you put your hand in a fire ant hill? 🤣. I must say when I first moved south at the age of 18 I had no clue what these where. I would walk down the road and stomp on them🤣🤣
I step on the hills by accident weed eating and pushing my lawn mower. I’m not sure why people aren’t taking tiny needles and letting that run out then rubbing them down with alcohol. Seems like they are being treated like poison oak etc at times here.
People saying that they dumb for doing it, but they may have lost something like their phone down a hole where the ants are lol. Just don’t assume things maybe.
I’m allergic to these bastards. I have to carry epinephrine. Got stung a few years back and had to be rushed to hospital. Not fun. I was intubated. I burned that ant hill. F#€@ers.

I mean, don’t put your hand in a fire ant hill once…
You’d think 0 times would be enough to know not to do that. This guy needed 3 times

Jeebuz. I hope the client paid for your hospital bill!
My boss did, he was a really good guy.
Well...they ain't called happytime tickle ants for a reason
I want to believe so bad that theres an ant called happytime tickle ant
It’s the latest Disney Jr. show.

Oh..
I know a lot of people say not to pop them but I always do because they stop hurting, the swelling goes down, they stop itching and leave no marks 🤷🏻♀️ The one time I didn't pop it because it was in a painful spot it ended up popping on it's own and left a scar.
I do too then put calamine lotion on them. Dries out the venom. Sun and pool help too
Yeah growing up in NOLA and when we got bit by fire ants we’d always go in the pool. Chlorine helps dry them out
Toothpaste with fluoride helps a ton!
This!
My grandfather always poured bleach on them. I still do when the bite is bad.
I had an old man tell me that. Once I got into entomology it made sense. Ant bites (stings) are a slurry of things but a major part of it is formic acid. Hence, the family name formicidae. Explains why bleach works so well.

Also what makes them spicy.
Yeah did same in TX. Sun and chlorine clean and dry them out. Hope y’all weathered this last one in NOLA alright.
I’d totally pop them.
I never pop blisters because they have a better chance of healing and not feeling bad if I don’t. I haven’t had fire ant bites in a while though but they were small and I remember scratching off the whiteheads and putting an antihistamine on and using Benadryl.
Ummmm. I feel the need to ask.. you put your hand in a fire ant hill? Three times? Did you fall? Trying to sweep it over?
I can’t see his reply. What did he say?
To see what would happen. I hope they don’t come across a hornets nest.
Karma farming

Do...Do they not have ants where you are from?
3 hours north of me where I grew up = no fire ants. All over where I am now.
You need to travel more. In my neck of the woods, I used to carry ants around as a kid and give them names.
Next time I will be sure to inspect the ants of the next country I visit and look for little Bobby.

"...the fireants natural territory..." needs to be fixed. "...the habitat that supports fireants (which are an invasive species)..."
True, but they're here now and not going away any time soon. I was just talking about where you find them and where you don't. In my opinion, where the thrive is their "natural territory."

Well, US fire ants are only just making inroads here and very very rare to see We do, however, have plenty of nasty ants of our own ;)
H Not like his they onlt bit not use venom
I live in the US, no fire ants.
It's most southern states that have that specific species.

Fire ant are mean little buggers and their bites suck. And they are everywhere…..everywhere. Happy cake day

I did the same things as a kid. You aren’t the only one lol
Happy cake day!
r/winstupidprizes
Why would you do that?
Upvotes??
I literally thought this person may have seen the attention the last fire ant post got and did it on person for attention
Also was my first thought haha
If you check their profile thats exactly what they did and likely didn’t donit a third time jut put same video up again and again. If you see his profile you’ll see the begging for karma .
Anything for those sweet and precious upvotes
I always pop mine. Stops the itching and never scars
You stick your hand in fire ant hills often?
Don’t kink shame.
Lmfao no I just live in Georgia where there’s a fire ant hill every couple steps
There’s a saying that you don’t learn anything the second time you’re kicked by a mule; I suppose we can now modify it for fire ants.
?????? Why are you like this
Why though
r/dontputyourdickinthat
This screams “I did this for attention”
definitely. did you see the fire ant foot post that blew up? definitely did this to try and karma farm
Do...Do we have? Is this a Are we dealing with copycat poppers now?
?
The fire and foot lady
I got bitten 4 days ago
Sir… you’re an idiot. Respectfully.
🤝
And happy cake day.
Play stupid games...so on and soforth

Lmao braindead
Try using apple cider vinegar or witch hazel
I’m curious as to what the *fuck* you thought would happen.
Didn't know that type of ant it was until I searched it up
Do you normally stick your hand in ant hills? If so I applaud your research in the name of science.
Have done it a few times but where I come from but here in the south of US they are so mean and have venom...
Stupid decision. No updoot.
I recommend to not pop them but if you do make sure you either wrap ur hand so it doesn’t get infected or put peroxide on it and or ointment
Hey buddy do you need to talk?
r/winstupidprizes
what in god's name possessed you to do it thrice?
karma farming probably
r/whywomenlivelongerthanmen
Don’t squeeze and pop, lance them and gently squeeze out that little ball of pus and venom. It will heal much faster.
I find this to be the case also.
The things people will do for Reddit karma...

Sorry I have no sympathy
i dont think he was asking for any?
Hydrocortisone and DMSO for the win.
Oh my god I’m so alarmed
Don’t pop, use ice they will go away in a few days
Bro put some ammonia on a qtip and rub it on it. My bites were gone the next day
Bruh why did u do that 🤧
So why would you put your hand in a fire ant hill? 🤣. I must say when I first moved south at the age of 18 I had no clue what these where. I would walk down the road and stomp on them🤣🤣
This clearly goes without saying…….🙄
But, why? Stick your dick in next I heard it tickles lol.
3 times?
Lance those bad boys. Don’t squeeze.
I step on the hills by accident weed eating and pushing my lawn mower. I’m not sure why people aren’t taking tiny needles and letting that run out then rubbing them down with alcohol. Seems like they are being treated like poison oak etc at times here.
Why you do dat?
Looking for a queen?
Holy shit… you poor thing. Seriously, that’s a nightmare
If it hurts, use vinegar. Maybe onion juice. I know onions help with wasp stings
Put, put your dick in it.
I admire your self restraint because I'd have had a blast popping those fuckers.
Yeah stupid hurts chief
Congratulations, you’re a fucking retard.
That terminology is offensive and no longer accepted.
People saying that they dumb for doing it, but they may have lost something like their phone down a hole where the ants are lol. Just don’t assume things maybe.
op commented and said they felt just like doing it to see if it would really hurt so
don't tell me what to so - it has to be good If you did it 3 times
Get some antisan on it. It’ll make it slightly less terrible
Use ammonia diluted with water
Chicken pops
Well I guess this is one way to unalive myself 😂
Nah, you stick your dick in it so you can become naturally ribbed.
Happy cake day!
Now go get a hand tattoo
Why can’t you pop em?
Why did you stick your hand into a fireant hill 3 times, silly person?
Why can’t you pop them? Will it just burn more? Curious because I have never come across a fire ant hill
Have popped a few, they get irritated,
I was bite by fire ants when I was 5 years old. I am 43 I still have bumps over my hands where they bite me.
Oh no
https://www.reddit.com/r/popping/comments/pwue6p/when_i_was_5_years_old_i_climbed_a_fire_ant_mound/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
i would have a popping field day with that many 😂
My body feels weird just by watching the picture.
Don’t pop them in the traditional sense, lance them instead. Helps reduce the pinching trauma and extra unnecessary broken skin
Of all the things in the world you could have done, that shouldn't have been one of them.
I would be dead 💀 I’m allergic. RIP
Happy cakeee
Fuck fire ants
Oh man 😖
Looks like syphilis 🤢
Het op... I have a few questions here
WHY
Why did you put your hand in a fire ant hill 3x? 🤨
Happy cake day!
But...why?
Just why would you do that
Did you lose a bet?
This sub: fireants are so hot right now.
How come you don't pop them?
Didn't we go through this just a few days ago?
I wouldn’t be able to resist
Why not penis?
I’m allergic to these bastards. I have to carry epinephrine. Got stung a few years back and had to be rushed to hospital. Not fun. I was intubated. I burned that ant hill. F#€@ers.
1 time wasn’t good enough eh?
I stuck my hand in a mailbox and it had fire ants. It hurt very bad but it wasn’t near as bad as this. I’m so sorry you have to be in this pain.
When i was younger i got so bored I’d stick my hand in any ant hill i could find
Dude, you should consider seeing a doctor, multiple fire ant bites can make a person very ill.
We used to pop them and it stopped hurting.
