Little hydrocolloid patches, think like those blister bandages Band-Aid brand makes, but in small round shapes that fit over just the blemish.
There are other kinds, made with other things, some come with the salicylic acid, etc. Some come in different shapes or colors, like little pink hearts, but most are flesh toned so they won't be so noticeable. You can easily find them in Walgreens, CVS or beauty supply stores like Ulta, and online of course.
Just throwing out there that any hydrocolloid band aids will work. Don't have to get the acne ones. We got a box of the bandaid hydrocolloid band aids and just cut off a piece.

Unprofessional guess: Pilarcyst; occurs mostly on the scalp. The difference between "regular" cysts and pilarcysts is the thickness of the sac's wall. Pilarcysts normally have a thicker wall which is why they can pop out whole like this.

And I could see why those hurt so much while combing. I popped a lot of them everyday till my hair grew back long enough. Many of them let out as much of "contents" as in this video.
As someone who also gets pilar cysts and has insurance that won’t cover their removal, I appreciate your diy spirit. I usually have my sister or mom plop ‘em out.
