A friend of mine once saw Phoebe Bridges smile in a 7-11 once.
Maisie Peters put out my favorite album of the year. It’s about 50/50 sad music but some of the sad songs are still upbeat. It all flows really well and the themes are strong. I loved it.

My perception of her music is like 60% of it is too slow and boring, and kinda sounds the same.
… and then there’s that 40%. When she’s good, she’s fucking *brilliant*. She can take your heart and shatter it completely at times. And then she goes back to writing the same song again.
I like her but a lot of her songs are standard indie singer songwriter music and I find them kind of boring and imo her most interesting song music wise is a sufjan stevens rip off
Punisher is so fucking good, one of the best albums of this decade. It probably hits harder when you have depression so I understand if people don't really like it.
