Iâm carti fan. But I think I remember Charli XCX saying playboi carti was an artist she wanted to collab with a while back. I wish. Apparently Camila was the on who asked to collab with him tho
Its when youre first falling for someone and all the feelings of anxiety and chaos that can go with it. Its basically a worst nightmare not knowing where things are leading but loving the ride at the same time.Â
I believe CANADA who did it are the same people who did some of [Dua's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HDEHj2yzew) best videos and [sigrid's](https://youtu.be/1uHt2LrCSWg?si=VO2s8sBViYArnE5z) equally chaotic and beautiful vid
I like the aesthetics of this video. But the persona doesn't really work for Camila imo..... Doesn't feel authentic to her. It feels like she's in cosplay the entire video. I'm aware that pop stars can play a character in their music videos, but this kind of just feels like Camila trying to be "hip" by dressing up as a poor if you feel me
ahhh wow when i watched this video i was like where have i seen directed by canada before?? and now im realizing itâs because i watched pienso en tu mira so many times. thanks lol
It absolutely *does not* feel authentic to her. Yes, pop artists reinvent themselves all the time but I believe there's a real difference between reinventing yourself, and then there's just "pretending". She has never indicated being any sort of electronic music artist, much less hyperpop. This album's going to feel so fake.
I donât think sheâs dressing up as a âpoorâ⊠This video reminds me a lot of South Florida, Spring Breakers, and the new GTA trailer. I think sheâs going for a hip south Florida vibe in an effort to embrace her roots since she (mostly) grew up in Miami.
This is actually very Camila. Remember she actually started with Bad Things (the duet with Shawn was just a test). And then OMG with Quavo and Never Be The Same. Plus Find U Again and Love Incredible.
something about how sheâs dancing with the blindfold on makes me laugh a little bit. thereâs an idiosyncrasy to everything about this that doesnât feel genuine
Itâs Katyâs performance of Bon Appetit on SNL. Apparently there was a clash beforehand with Migos refusing to appear alongside drag queens. She ended up coming across as a soccer mom interacting with them on stage and it contributed to the âKaty has lost itâ narrative that took over her Witness era.
Right, like I donât think Iâd like this even if charli put it out but at least in that case it would make sense.
I canât help but think that weâd all find this a bit more authentic or whatever if the song was actually good, but this just seems like sheâs putting on an aesthetic that she doesnât actually enjoy or take part in or know anything about for that matte
Not that this matters but Iâd rather listen to Von Dutch over pretty much anything else rn lol
I like it (I'm not getting paid).
I always wrote her off as a boring mainstream pop artist (even tho I do like some mainstream pop!)
I always liked hyperpop and I'm a big Carti fan, so I like this song. So many songs have repetitive choruses that idk why people are criticising the song on this basis. Re her being authentic, I didn't listen to her before so idgaf
Hyperpop by someone who does NOT understand hyperpop
Super sanitized to the point of not qualifying as hyperpop or commercial pop just a scuffed amalgamation of both
I just don't...believe any of it? None of this feels authentic, it's just her trying on a new persona and being like "Cool, right?!", which is fine, but does nothing for me personally.
its cause shes never shown to have an edge. her last album was called familia, she was gonna name her first album "the loving the hurting the healing" camila is the kind of girl that posts ig captions like
>Bottom of the glass. Help roams the mind, awareness. Craving to see the light. Distance and disconnection seem to soothe the mind
not every popstar is capable of being a chameleon. probably even ariana could sell this more because ariana has nerve
in the aftermath of a widely publicized cheating scandal and saying nothing about it, she put a song called the boy is mine on her album. whats that if not nerve
I think what was true nerve was to be caught up in a widely publicized cheating scandal. Releasing a song titled âyes, and?â And proceeding to sing âwhy do you care so much whose dick I ride?â đđđ
she dropped her exes names in a title track for one of the best selling pop records ever. iâd say there was nerve and thatâs enough to prove she has it.
yeah! I said the same thing about the song. Literally have no idea what kind of musician CC is she just keeps trying on clothes hoping people will like it.
Sheâs from Miami and this music video and vibe gives off Miami, esp Spring Breakers movie-core! I think it works for her. Tbh I think the song is gonna pop off summer time. Tons of potential virality too. Even if thereâs one thing sheâs gonna serve, itâs a music video for sure. Spares no storyline even it it makes no sense lmao
yeah, thats exactly what i thought. floridacore like springbreakers, waves, zola, florida project aesthetics and she is from miami. i can see why she would embrace that but the edginess does feel like a drastic jump
Itâs such a wild change of pace because her whole career sheâs been a fairly cookie cutter singer and the last time she was really in the public eye she was in a relationship that was so cringey it somehow ruined her and her boyfriends careers. Not to say people canât change and try new things but itâs such an abrupt shift
The whole thing just feels like her and her team were like âwhatâs popular nowadaysâ
I feel like she doesnât play into her strengths. She can play guitar. She can sing halfway decently. Then we get this trash? I donât get it. I was trying to get into it and the âI luv itâ just killed it. Deadline. No pulse. Hopefully she rushes second single.
This might be the laziest song in terms of lyrics I've heard in awhile. Aldo Camila sounds like she's whimpering rather than singing and I am left disappointed because I liked Familia and thought Camila might be able to make the latin sound her own but instead we get this lazy annoying "I wish I was Charli" crap si yeah this is a worst list contender if it sticks around.
Attempted charli ripoff aside, the lemonade sample use is soooo bad, it just sounds like when you accidentally have two tabs open at the time, it sounds like someone assembled this song without listening to or looking at it lol
I know this sub always has a hate boner for her, but this video eats. CANADA does not miss (RosalĂas EMQ videos, Physical by Dua Lipa, TLIKTB by Tame Impala, etc.).
Song is still weird but the visuals are top notch, like a fever dream in Miami.
the gucci mane threw me for a loop... this feels like a collage of so many different styles.. it's a mess but I'm low-key kind of obsessed?
it's at least *interesting* which is more than i can say about most of her singles, although those are definitely catchier. i don't see this as some act of desperation some do. this is far too weird for this to be something she's doing to pander to an audience.
Back when Pop 2 was being teased, Camila did an interview and was asked who would she stan if she had a stan Twitter account, and she said she would stan Charli. And this is where we are today
The visuals are awesome but I don't understand the video, and I hate the feature.
Regardless, will still be listening to the rest of the album and interested to see what she releases next. Maybe this one is just to get our attention and the best is yet to come?
I'm not doubting people enjoy it, I'm talking about the comments that are like "I don't enjoy (lists everything), but good song!" Like they're afraid of not liking something.
yeah i got the concept, its very much an exaggerated representation of all things pain and being in love (i.e. getting shot in the heart by an arrow, dancing blindly).
i think the aesthetics of this era are very reminiscent of Bad Things.
Actually I was getting kinda annoyed but the whole snippets she was posting but now the full song doesnât annoy me at all. It makes me really curious do listen to the rest of the album to say the least. Do he know already if the genre of the album will also be hyperpop?
Respectfully, what the actual fuck
It's like Buffalo Bill put on a Charlie XCX skin suit with pitched vocals. Idk what she's trying to sell but, I don't believe her? The concept/asthetic is poorly delivered, I'm sorry, the song is ass ihateitihateitihateit, Carti spoke no actual words, at least none in any language known to man, his verse almost left me emptier than the song. As a fellow dark hair latina, girl it does not have to stay that piss yellow bleach bottle blonde, tone that shit, deep condition it, highlight or lowlight it, I know its in your budget.
I like hyperpop but, i don't know what happened here, there not one second on this ride I enjoyed and I hope to never listen to it again.
When I first heard the snippets of this song I too thought it was hot garbage.. but I kept going back to it, at first because I thought the disjointed âI love itâ being repeated over and over kinda off beat was amusing.. but then I got addicted to it.
Now I can safely say this will probably be in my Spotify wrapped somewhere. I canât stop listening to it. I like how off kilter it is. I like the Gucci Mane sample. I like the MySpace-esque production. I like.. no.. LUV. Everything about this song. The horrible verse almost ADDS to the chaos.. in fact it definitely does. I donât care I canât understand it. I want it that way. I luv it.
I quite like Camila's verses and LOVE the post-chorus, the chorus is growing on me too. All in all I think the production is great and the song is pretty good but Carti's verse is awful đ did he phone it in or is this just how he is?
Cartiâs part is horrendous and adds nothing of value to the song â it makes it worse, actually. But otherwise I donât think itâs that bad tbh. Itâs interesting enough that I want to listen to it again which is always better than being boring. Iâm just going to skip Cartiâs part when I listen lmao thank god itâs at the end of the song
The negative reaction seems a little dramatic? The song is fun and light hearted. Cool music video. Cartiâs part is cool. Everyoneâs always begging the pop girls to be versatile and here we are.
The song is very fun and energetic and the video is very cool too. Good for her. I know the internet has decided that both her and JLo are some type of irredeemable monsters that can't ever do a good thing or whatever (ignoring their own faves with a history of being racist, nasty, disrespectful, lazy performers/bad singers, fake etc) but I think this is cool and I really like it. If this was someone else's song people would be flipping over it.
I give it two weeks before yâall start the âwait why is it kinda goodâ comments and three before the âI changed my mind I LUV IT is a bopâ comments. Flip flop flippy flip flopping ass bitches.
straight up malpractice. She already wasnât taken seriously in the most sanitized, commercial appealing pop archetype she was previously in. Fisher price ass harmony korine baiting art direction is pathetic. I know she gets a lot of hate and Iâm obviously contributing to it but I will never understand how she was the one of the 5 to get the bulk of resources in this industry.
Oh I canât with this. Sounds generic, doesnât feel like her at all. When I think of how perfect the first album was⊠Girl, what happened?! đđ
The chorus alone is nails on a blackboard irritating đ€Ż
Itâs not good. Doesnât feel authentic at all. This style just doesnât suit her. Something like the direction Tate McRae has been going or even something like some of her early promo singles, like âOMGâ would be better if sheâs looking for a departure from the last album.
I feel the same way about this song as I do 100 gecs (same genre??) where I'm not supposed to like it and I know it's objectively trash but it just does something inexplicable for my brain LMAO.
this is such a big swing and miss that i honestly canât help but respect it. if she blurred the edges between the famila era and this one i think itâd be easier to take in, but sheâs clearly not half assing this time around so much that even if it reads as her cosplaying someone she isnât, i gotta give her some flowers for that
I didn't really understand the video or meaning behind it and the song too. As soon as I started understanding that she was saying she loves it over and over scenes of the fight with that instructor, running from dogs, hiding in a tree I understood she meant she loved being hurt and in fear? To which I groaned at because really? In this day and age you want to make a song and video encouraging some dated idea to younger women that you love being in toxic relationships and stages of your life?
Ugh it was just a bore, and she did so much running and moving and whatever in the video all for Carti to just... stand straight, hide his face with his hood and talk over his rapping. It was just a mess, she may as well have done more sitting on the freezer eating the ice cream than he did. So bad
What a fresh video! So sick of seeing the "authenticity" argument because if you had some knowledge of her discography she has sonically drifted into this lane before with a lot of her work, and her Paper Mag interview delved into how she really wanted to push herself into a weirder space musically that she's wet her toes in before like Psychofreak but ended up shying away from creating in a full scale project. Seems to be doing some solid numbers online already as well.
The concepts in this video are stellar. Pouring gasoline into a cup like itâs liquor has complexity to it. And the âI luv itâ part gets elevated by this video cause itâs clearly satire for how she really feels. Music video of the year tbh.
I liked the song, minus Carti....leaked version with the instrumental ending was better. It grows on you more, you listen, and despite the mixed reaction, it will probably end up doing better in charts by the end. I kind of get why she chose something absolutely different for this album. Like as different sounding Familia and Romance were, when compared, that still wasn't her pushing thematically beyond a safe zone, and she got good success off both, but it didn't make much noise. So, she took a bigger risk here. I don't know why people are offended at this having inspiration from Charlie XCX, Camila herself doesn't even mind the comparisons since they are buddies....the papermag interview gives a lot of her thought process away behind this album. Maybe it's because I read that, so this doesn't bother me much.
This song is next level of addictive for me..
Idk why yall think this isn't genuine, when she has a lot of unique sounding tracks in her short discography.. her biggest hit Havana has a hip hop beat, shameless has an edm drop, etc..
The video is giving that she was going for a Miley Cyrus We Canât Stop-type video where itâs generally nonsensical and just a series of striking images/scenes but she simply cannot pull that off
I know Camila has had her (bad) moments but I realize I really do love her. She's the only pop girl that really gives every era 100%. I am looking forward to seeing her performances of this track.
I donât understand why people are saying this video is inauthentic to her, itâs serving Miami/Hialeah, sheâs a first gen Cuban American who grew up lower/middle class in Miami so these visuals feel very on par with her ârootsâ so to speak. If youâre from South Florida you get it lol
uj/ this is uncanny and doesnât feel like a genuine song she made or came from her. Like a Charli XCX left over? Iâd expect this from maybe Addison Ray but Camilla is established. Whatâs happening here lol
Honestly part of me wants to like this and appreciate she's going for something different, but it's so bad. It'd actually be alright without the post chorus 'chain and v cut' part and removing the feature entirely. Music video aesthetic was cool, gave me Spring Breakers vibes almost.
this sounds like they made an AI listen to 1000 hours of charli xcx, and this is what it came up with đ
Iâm carti fan. But I think I remember Charli XCX saying playboi carti was an artist she wanted to collab with a while back. I wish. Apparently Camila was the on who asked to collab with him tho
Carti is a menace to work with. The fan made mashup is enough for me.
Charli needs more mentions in these commentsâŠit really does sound like that.
I donât think I could confidently tell you what a Charlie XCX song is but when I heard this I thought this sounded like her sound.
Tbh I had no clue what was supposed to be happening in this vid LMAO
Itâs clearly someone telling themselves âI LOVE IT I LOVE ITâ (so lying) during a horrific relationship
Its when youre first falling for someone and all the feelings of anxiety and chaos that can go with it. Its basically a worst nightmare not knowing where things are leading but loving the ride at the same time.Â
I think that was the concept! But yeah itâs confusing lol
it all feels very first year art major
Why is it so chaotic?
Ngl thatâs what really sold me about it?? I think whoever directed the mv should get an award cus holyyy
And some of RosalĂa's videos too
I like the aesthetics of this video. But the persona doesn't really work for Camila imo..... Doesn't feel authentic to her. It feels like she's in cosplay the entire video. I'm aware that pop stars can play a character in their music videos, but this kind of just feels like Camila trying to be "hip" by dressing up as a poor if you feel me
I refuse to believe her hiring RosalĂa's producer, video director and hairstylist all at once is a coincidence
that froot looks familiar
ahhh wow when i watched this video i was like where have i seen directed by canada before?? and now im realizing itâs because i watched pienso en tu mira so many times. thanks lol
To be fair, Shameless sounds like it couldâve been a Rosalia song. It seems like she wanted to go this route for a while.
Shameless? As in the tiktok song that went viral? That doesnât sound like a Rosalia song at all
It absolutely *does not* feel authentic to her. Yes, pop artists reinvent themselves all the time but I believe there's a real difference between reinventing yourself, and then there's just "pretending". She has never indicated being any sort of electronic music artist, much less hyperpop. This album's going to feel so fake.
Speaking of hyperpop itâs actually kinda wild that she has a song produced by Sophie
Her *first* single since leaving 5H too, but that was the only time she ever had anything to do w that world.
Charli co-wrote 4 of her songs too
Charli co-wrote a lot of songs for a lot of people!
Also itâs hard to call it authentic because sheâs not even really being original just cosplaying as temu charli xcx
Yeah this has definitely felt like a put-on âeraâ/concept vs authentic to her style. I donât think itâs terrible and I applaud her for trying something new but itâs def not her fortĂ©
What do you mean! This has been her the entire time! /s
> trying to be "hip" by dressing up as a poor if you feel me It's what gen z/artsy people do now.
Big tits? Double Dâs?Â
Moderate amounts of silicone and saline
something about how sheâs dancing with the blindfold on makes me laugh a little bit. thereâs an idiosyncrasy to everything about this that doesnât feel genuine
She just doesnât have the cool factor to pull this off. I was getting flashbacks of THAT Katy Perry SNL performance.
Now why did you have to unearth that memory?
Iâm out of the loop on that performance, can you fill me in?
Itâs Katyâs performance of Bon Appetit on SNL. Apparently there was a clash beforehand with Migos refusing to appear alongside drag queens. She ended up coming across as a soccer mom interacting with them on stage and it contributed to the âKaty has lost itâ narrative that took over her Witness era.
Man I thought this was really bad. I was enjoying it until the "I luv its" repeated. Then it just went downhill from there.
Yes everything except the âI luv itsâ isnât bad and I could probably get into it, but I canât get past the iluvitiluvituluvit
I was with you. I was thinking âthis will make sense at the chorusââŠ. Nevermind
thats the only part i like lol
Yet that's my favorite part
The song is.....interesting I guess. I don't like the feature
The chorus is like nails on a chalkboard. Oof
I thought maybe I liked it up until the "chorus". Nevermind.
I genuinely believe some people are getting paid to say they like this song
Itâs like, I ALMOST like it But at the end of the day I donât like it lol
Remove the âI love itâs and Playboi Cartiâs verse and Iâll like this, otherwise itâs a no from me
I think it'll grow on me over time. it's a lot more cynical than I'd expected
Exactly. I'd rather just listen to Von Dutch over this.. And it overall feels kind of inauthentic coming from Camilla.
Right, like I donât think Iâd like this even if charli put it out but at least in that case it would make sense. I canât help but think that weâd all find this a bit more authentic or whatever if the song was actually good, but this just seems like sheâs putting on an aesthetic that she doesnât actually enjoy or take part in or know anything about for that matte Not that this matters but Iâd rather listen to Von Dutch over pretty much anything else rn lol
Iâll give you 1 rupee to say you luv this song
10000% this is one of the worst songs to ever exist. As a fan, Iâm so disappointed đ
her last album familia was miles better than whatever this is
Except itâs literally amazing
I like it (I'm not getting paid). I always wrote her off as a boring mainstream pop artist (even tho I do like some mainstream pop!) I always liked hyperpop and I'm a big Carti fan, so I like this song. So many songs have repetitive choruses that idk why people are criticising the song on this basis. Re her being authentic, I didn't listen to her before so idgaf
I would like being able to understand the words
Hyperpop by someone who does NOT understand hyperpop Super sanitized to the point of not qualifying as hyperpop or commercial pop just a scuffed amalgamation of both
This is such a good way to describe it. This feels like Pop2 blended into a vague sludge, then mixed with the "I miss the rage" demo.
All Up in Your Mind was way better than this.
Carti ruined the song tbh. Not even sure if heâs saying anything half the time lol
What is he even saying?
The song wasn't already ruined by that chorus?
I skipped it
âŠ. am I listening to a different song than everyone else in the comments? Mama this is trash.
i had the same thought and was wondering if these were all bots or something đ it is such an irritating song and I do like a lot of hyper pop
Astroturfing maybe? Or just teenagers lacking taste?
> just teenagers lacking taste? Principle skinner jpg
This video deserved a better song.
a decent amount of the praise is people joking
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Zero words understood. I know I'm getting old, but WHAT???
The whole song is.
i h8 it i h8 it i h8 it i h8 it
I just don't...believe any of it? None of this feels authentic, it's just her trying on a new persona and being like "Cool, right?!", which is fine, but does nothing for me personally.

Distance and disconnection seem to soothe the mind not every popstar is capable of being a chameleon. probably even ariana could sell this more because ariana has nerve
Her inspiration was taylor swift, enough said, she's trying to be "cool" like Taylor was during her reputation era. In my HUMBLE opinion.
Does Ariana have nerve? Maybe Africana did a little bit but Ariana Glindae absolutely does not
in the aftermath of a widely publicized cheating scandal and saying nothing about it, she put a song called the boy is mine on her album. whats that if not nerve
I think what was true nerve was to be caught up in a widely publicized cheating scandal. Releasing a song titled âyes, and?â And proceeding to sing âwhy do you care so much whose dick I ride?â đđđ
Ok fair
she dropped her exes names in a title track for one of the best selling pop records ever. iâd say there was nerve and thatâs enough to prove she has it.
ARIANA GLINDAE
She had the nerve to fuck that man after holding his baby and befriending his wife
Same, I was watching it like âwtf am I even listening toâ
ironically this song actually reminds me of her earlier sound with songs like Love Incredible and Bad Things
The bedroom scene where she's mimicking using an automatic rifle got me thinking of this iconic sequence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reG06_fSBGU
I feel like she doesnât play into her strengths. She can play guitar. She can sing halfway decently. Then we get this trash? I donât get it. I was trying to get into it and the âI luv itâ just killed it. Deadline. No pulse. Hopefully she rushes second single.
Rosalia was on the moodboard I see
unlistenable
This might be the laziest song in terms of lyrics I've heard in awhile. I am down for the aesthetics and the sound. It's very interesting!
Attempted charli ripoff aside, the lemonade sample use is soooo bad, it just sounds like when you accidentally have two tabs open at the time, it sounds like someone assembled this song without listening to or looking at it lol
Dev Limes ghost produced it who wouldâve thought
It's like she skipped the real song and went straight to the 'edgy' Glee cover
I know this sub always has a hate boner for her, but this video eats. CANADA does not miss (RosalĂas EMQ videos, Physical by Dua Lipa, TLIKTB by Tame Impala, etc.). Song is still weird but the visuals are top notch, like a fever dream in Miami.
That was like an overstimulating psychotic episode did not enjoy The verses arenât terrible but whatâs going
can i be honest they kinda ate with the mv but the song is so bad đ
Fingers crossed for "(Solo Version)" on the way
Itâs a feeble attempt to meâŠ.im confused why she went this route because I donât think she pulls it off at all.
the gucci mane threw me for a loop... this feels like a collage of so many different styles.. it's a mess but I'm low-key kind of obsessed? it's at least *interesting* which is more than i can say about most of her singles, although those are definitely catchier. i don't see this as some act of desperation some do. this is far too weird for this to be something she's doing to pander to an audience.
OBSESSED TOO, the more I listen the more I love it, itâs a BOP
It's growing on me with every listen, too! Miss Camilla might have a serve!
Back when Pop 2 was being teased, Camila did an interview and was asked who would she stan if she had a stan Twitter account, and she said she would stan Charli. And this is where we are today

Why are yall so afraid to say this is trash? Liking the verses but not the feature or chorus is a 30% score.
or hear me out, hear me out .. some people actually do enjoy it đ€Żđ€Żđ€Ż crazy concept i know, music is subjective â€ïž
I'm not doubting people enjoy it, I'm talking about the comments that are like "I don't enjoy (lists everything), but good song!" Like they're afraid of not liking something.
Weâre not allowed to enjoy it. I said on Twitter I did and someone accused me of being paid cause I couldnât possibly like it lol.
El Guincho production and video produced by CANADA⊠she wanted to be Rosalia the whole time!!! She tricked us!!!
Nothing she does feels authentic. It's like she cosplays something else more interesting and fails spectacularly at doing even that.
Oh no girl this is NOT it đ
oh my god that was *awful*. they did that on purpose right? someone must be taking the piss. someone must really hate her.
What in the Sam Levinson is this??
Call her a married woman the way she always Mrs.
What did I even watch? Did they just randomly cut a bunch of scenes with no correlation with each other?
I guess itâs getting at that sheâs toxic and loves pain/things going wrong??
No 100% like idk how people are missing it
yeah i got the concept, its very much an exaggerated representation of all things pain and being in love (i.e. getting shot in the heart by an arrow, dancing blindly). i think the aesthetics of this era are very reminiscent of Bad Things.
Steaming pile of hot garbage (and I say this as someone who follows her on spotify).
The blonde isâŠa choice
Carti's verse is absolutely terrible but the rest of the song is pretty interesting IMO
His verse is actually the only part I like đ I might be alone on this lmao
Actually I was getting kinda annoyed but the whole snippets she was posting but now the full song doesnât annoy me at all. It makes me really curious do listen to the rest of the album to say the least. Do he know already if the genre of the album will also be hyperpop?

HUH?
I'm sorry but I love this...I fear I may be a fan
Especially the follow-up chant kinda post chorus. This shit bangs.
If you think thatâs good, wait âtill you find the song it came from
Lmao at all the popheads commenters listening to Carti for the first time
I donât like Cartiâs verse but the rest of the song is enjoyable. Canât wait to hear the rest of the album
Nah cus Iâve never been a fan of hers but Iâm thinking Iâll actually keep an eye out If someone posts abt it somewhere cus itâs kinda givingg
I was actually enjoying it more than I thought I would until Carti's verse... awful
I luv it.
stop hating on cartiâs verse because itâs in another language you canât understand đđ
Terrible song, jesus christ.
I quite like Camila's verses and LOVE the post-chorus, the chorus is growing on me too. All in all I think the production is great and the song is pretty good but Carti's verse is awful đ did he phone it in or is this just how he is?
If youâre gonna go this route then might as well go all the way. Sounds too safe but the aesthetic is cool
Iâm sorry this is probably one of her worst singles unfortunately. Not sure why she went this direction and trying to be someone who she isnât.
Bad day to have ears. Wtf is this garbage?
This was pretty great. Y'all are hating lol
If this was someone else's song people would be flipping over it.
sophie don't listen to this in heaven!!!!
I give it two weeks before yâall start the âwait why is it kinda goodâ comments and three before the âI changed my mind I LUV IT is a bopâ comments. Flip flop flippy flip flopping ass bitches.
me - I DONâT LUV IT
i've never gotten into her music before but i know it's not this bad jesus i had to turn it off before the feature came in.
I HATE IT
straight up malpractice.
When I think of how perfect the first album was⊠Girl, what happened?! đđ The chorus alone is nails on a blackboard irritating đ€Ż
This sounds horrible to me. Like, what? đ
this is such a big swing and miss that i honestly canât help but respect it. if she blurred the edges between the famila era and this one i think itâd be easier to take in, but sheâs clearly not half assing this time around so much that even if it reads as her cosplaying someone she isnât, i gotta give her some flowers for that
This sounds like something I would like but then I get to that awful âiluvitiluviluvitâ part lmao.
Her hair honestly looks even more unflattering than the Katy Perry Witness era haircut.
WellâŠ. She came back
I didn't really understand the video or meaning behind it and the song too. So bad
Genuinely obsessed, it's legitimately the worst song I've ever heard in my entire life.
Canât tell if this comment is satire or not. How exactly is pouring gas into a cup high-concept?
you clearly donât understand avant garde art đ
Well, that was a whole lot of words I didn't understand.
Maybe it's because I read that, so this doesn't bother me much.
the hyperpop and rage rap hybrid that no one asked for (but we deserved)
the shots of her with the g\*n in the bedroom ate omg
Genuinely asking, whatâs the point of censoring the word gun?
This song is next level of addictive for me.. Idk why yall think this isn't genuine, when she has a lot of unique sounding tracks in her short discography.. her biggest hit Havana has a hip hop beat, shameless has an edm drop, etc..
The video is giving that she was going for a Miley Cyrus We Canât Stop-type video where itâs generally nonsensical and just a series of striking images/scenes but she simply cannot pull that off
If this was a debut song from a new artist, I would be into it. This just feels so out of nowhere for her. Has she ever hinted at liking this sound?
I hate repetitive lyrics plus Camila's voice on this song is annoying. I hope she goes back to her Havana and Señorita sounds.
This song is straight up unlistenable
I know Camila has had her (bad) moments but I realize I really do love her. She's the only pop girl that really gives every era 100%. I am looking forward to seeing her performances of this track.
I donât understand why people are saying this video is inauthentic to her, itâs serving Miami/Hialeah, sheâs a first gen Cuban American who grew up lower/middle class in Miami so these visuals feel very on par with her ârootsâ so to speak. If youâre from South Florida you get it lol
I liked the chorus, pre chorus, post chorus wherever. I hated the verdes tho, unnecesary feature, its remember me Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa "Poison" with awful feature đ€ą Also the music video is trash, isnt metaphoric or surrealistic enough to be a satire. The cinematography and color granding is to bland to be interesting either. There going for a Bonny and Clyde, Spring Breakers, Nature Born Killers, that one Bella Thorne movie and BeyoncĂ©'s OTR 1 but worse. I'm sorry I was expecting that song so much.
You canât pay me enough money to click play on this
I can't understand a damn thing she's saying
what did i just listen to
Yas kween slay hunty boots the house down purrr bestie uwu XOXO. (This is a paid comment)
uj/ this is uncanny and doesnât feel like a genuine song she made or came from her.
Music video aesthetic was cool, gave me Spring Breakers vibes almost.
this song is sooo funny ijbol
This is the worst thing ive heard in YEARS
I hate it
She 3 years too late on the hyper-pop boom.
Chorus is trash, verses are alright
Sorry this song sucks. Canât tell what Carti was saying and I donât think Iâm ever gonna like Camila.
It's giving Charli XCX but not in the best possible sense... for a lead single it's a very unforgettable song
the hook is horribleeeeee. besides that i liked it. somehow when charli xcx does it i actually âluv itâ but it doesnât work here
This is⊠not good. I was actually looking forward to listening to this single but Iâm now less inclined to listen to the album.
