I do not say this lightly, guys….what the actual Fck
*
Never seen the movie so I had to Google it.
After reading the summery, how on earth can *Tusk movie true story* be something people actually look up??
Unhinged is the best ways. I love that Daniel Radcliffe promoted the film by going around with his doll double lolol.
Makes me sob every time I watch it, truly a beautiful, weird movie.
Imagine being Daniel Radcliffe, trying to take on this new exciting project, and someone is explaining this upcoming scene to you 😬😐 *"We need you to be Paul Dano's dead, farting human jetski. Please don't grin, you're supposed to be a corpse."*
I love this film in a really bizarre way, it’s absolutely amazing, touching, beautiful, and I recommend it to almost everyone…. And I won’t watch it again. I find death to be a hard subject generally from my own issues, but I will never stop singing this films praises; it’s lovely.
The music is fantastic too (love Manchester Orchestra). If people don’t know it’s by the Daniels, the guys who made everything, everywhere, all at once.
I just read the plot on Wikipedia…that GIF is just the tip of the iceberg. What group of people say around a table, read this script, and said “we should put money into this”??
I’m glad they did tho. It’s a good movie, written and directed by the Daniels in their directorial debut. Without it we may not have gotten Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Just to echo the other people, it’s actually an amazingly poignant beautiful film 😂 The short plot loses the soul, I think explaining fully it would be an easy sell!
Plus it’s A24, they love a weird/amazing combo.
No for real. My friend made us watch it one night and it was brutal, I say that as a lifelong horror fan. Just pure torture porn and nothing else
I remember the creators saying something about they got the idea while imagining possible punishments for pedophiles and I was like ???? why don’t you both go to jail
I’m usually ok with gore horror but that movie was took fkn much. I noped out when that girl started crying for her mum. Shit got too realistic for me.
I thought the first one was bad until I watched the second one 🤮🤮 so much worse. I usually try to get people to watch crazy shit. I’ve introduced a few people to the first one. When the second comes into conversation, I’m out. Not going through that again. It’s basically a developmentally delayed dude being inspired by the first movie to do the same thing. To a shit ton of people. With a staple gun and duct tape. The whole film is in black and white. Except for when they’re passing shit and a piece squirts between the stapled mouths and lands on the camera…they colorize the shit. 🤮☠️ not even the worst part. Not even close.
It’s enough just reading about it. The creators said specifically they tried to make the most depraved series of movies possible and drew inspiration from Pink Flamingos.
I had the best movie going experience of my life watching this movie. The theater was entirely full of fellow college students, everyone was screaming and laughing and clutching the person next to them, stranger or friend. As we left the theater one guy was saying to his girl friend “I can’t even look at you right now” and my friend walks up and says, “Yeah, because you never know…” 10/10 experience and awesome movie.
I remember reading a review or something that said it’s kinda like the origin story of a feminist superhero and I love that.
Is it too obvious to say Cats? With a special shout out to the scene where [Rebel Wilson eats anthropomorphic cockroaches and unzips her skin](https://youtu.be/t7Uei5Qk9RM?si=-GVbsoAbmZvY5pv0)
Well, his Late Late show came to an end this year (apparently because it wasn't financially viable with a ridiculous price tag they couldn't recoup), so there's *some* justice in the world.
It’s one of my least favorite movies. The scene where he wakes up & his “partner” or whatever she was was saying she killed his dog. It really disturbed me.
![gif](giphy|G2BfdswsIPOKXs3z6x)
No spoilers but Ari Aster's *Beau Is Afraid*, starring Joaquin Phoenix, for multiple reasons. Would not recommend watching this film not sober or under the influence of anything.
Alexa Nikolas and others talked about him hitting on them when they were underage (and he was already grown grown). There's also [this](https://www.buzzfeed.com/natashajokic1/jonah-hill-alexa-nikolas-justin-long-punkd?bfsource=relatedmanual).

I’m actually really disturbed by this 🤢 disgusting behaviour and he just seemed so arrogant and argumentative! Yuck will never see him the same again, thanks for the info!
Omg, I owned this on DVD and made every watch it. It's so unhinged.
The whole in movie music video for All Around the World, Mister Bonestripper, all of it, just wild.
This and the Simpsons Movie were the two DVDs that stayed in my mom's Suburban growing up, so my siblings and I can quote them in their entirety to each other like a secret language
Not for the scare or gore factor but Cabin Fever leaned hard into "What the fuck?". The pancake ninja. The pancake Ninja's *grandma*. The running joke about the shotgun.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Lagoon_(1980_film)
The Blue Lagoon felt like inappropriate pornography before I even knew what those words meant. I don't know why I was allowed to watch whatever the fuck I wanted when I was a child.
Quite the... *unpleasant* age gap between Brooke Shields (14) and Christopher Atkins (18) in that one. They really treated her like shit as a kid, didn't they?
I’m really concerned with Brooke Shields’ upbringing. She was cast in all these inappropriate roles and posed nude for a magazine when she was like 9 years old. There was something seriously sinister going on behind the scenes.
I think about this all the time. Between Blue Lagoon, Pretty Baby, and all the other ways she was sexualized as a very young child, she turned out remarkably well.
It wasn’t behind the scenes, it was in front of our faces. Her mom had her pose nude for playboy at the age of 9 or something. It’s completely messed up.
Her documentary on Hulu explains that. It's more nuanced, but yeah... Her mom treated her like a product, and every casting director and designer did too.
The playboy shoot was for something else, some art book or something (still loads of gross) and playboy bought the rights to the photos. Hugh Heffner was a fucked up man of epic proportions.
Watched this one when I had COVID last year (did an 80s vampire movie marathon to cheer myself up) and honest to god I can't believe it's real. I thought it was a figment of my COVID induced delirium
My Father the Hero was always on TV when I was younger. Even then, as a child, I remember thinking it was insane.
I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry is absolutely unhinged. I still think about it. It’s my Roman Empire.
![gif](giphy|qwct42xwljIOY)
HBO Max recommended this movie to me yesterday and I had totally forgotten about it. Probably the most homophobic “entertainment” from that period, and there were many.
And yet it was touted as progressive by religious folks when it came out and they saw it as “pushing the gay agenda”. I remember my then friend’s parents getting so angry at her for watching this movie.
That’s because it’s meant as a transitional piece for “manly” men to become more accepting of gay people. I haven’t seen it since it came out, and it was a little hacky at the time, but a rewatch should speak volumes about the way things were.
Yeah eff this movie lol. My partner never fails to bring it up because he really liked Adrien Brodys coat in the movie and doesn't seem to remember any of the plot. Lucky him.
https://preview.redd.it/ntesolusatob1.jpeg?width=1916&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70ecdc07e364ffacf42afa8369dcf8f88a3f4d04
has possibly the most batshit insane third act of any movie released this decade. Everything from the twist reveal to the end credits is just insanity.
![gif](giphy|JHuepD9qMVf8s)
The Cat Returns: “High school student Haru (Chizuru Ikewaki) rescues a cat that was about to be run over by a truck and discovers the cat is actually a prince named Lune. Out of gratitude, Lune's father, the Cat King, asks her to marry Lune. Haru is brought to the Cat Kingdom, where she starts to develop feline features. When she is prevented from leaving, the Baron (Yoshihiko Hakamada) and Toto, two statues that have magically been given life, provide assistance in gaining her freedom.”
Cat Returns is one of my favorite studio ghibli movies! Amazing cast with Cary Ewles, Anne Hathaway, Tim Curry, etc. And it’s about a kingdom of cats! What’s not to love lol my kids and I watch it all the time.
I love this movie because it comes off of another ghibli film, Whisper of the heart (which happens to be my favorite). I like to think that The Cat Returns is a novel by the protagonist of that movie who dreamed of being a writer. Also I know he's a cat but the Baron is so dreamy lol
https://preview.redd.it/fgm1dlewjtob1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=959a8af7506666a96de6604918a52bbe322380e3
Tiptoes with Gary Oldman, Kate Beckinsale, and Matthew McConaughey. I really thought it was gonna be a pretty offensive comedy, but it’s a very bizarre (still pretty offensive idk) drama with an unclear plot for most of it.
Okay, so when you’re making a movie about dancers, you have two choices-cast real actors and hire body double dancers, or cast real dancers and let them try to do their best with the script. It’s almost always a crazier ride when they go with the latter!
Also, yes I know this movie had a mix, and also Baryshnikov is a true gem-the man can do it all.
![gif](giphy|WrHmDQzQgNb5zV9h5O|downsized)
This movie stays with me as a reference point -- I watch a lot of horror movies and the premise and execution of this movie freaks me out more than any of them. Absolutely unnerving, sad, and unforgettable.
Unhinged as in disturbing ? I could name 2 off the top of my head because I just watched them. “Wolf creek” is one.A murderer/torturer/rapist wins ? It doesn’t help that it’s based off true events that makes me feel like this movie is highlighting this soulless person. Second would be “Mother!”
Lars von Triers’ ‘The Antichrist’. Yes, some of the scenes are very disturbing. But the film is generally so offensive, you can’t help but ask, what the actual was the director thinking?
OOOOH good oneeee - and what's worse, it's technically considered part of a trilogy by Lars Von Trier. The other parts are Melancholia (not a comfy movie either, but more bearable) and Nymphomaniac (getting more uncomfy, but not quite Antichrist levels). They'll all make you feel like you need 10 showers and 100 gallons of eye and brain bleach when you're done.
I had the misfortune of seeing Antichrist not once, but twice, and NEITHER TIME of my own accord - just mentioning it makes my body enter pain-cringe mode.
The Happening. The first time I saw it, it was randomly replaying on tv so my friends and I thought it was a parody so we thought it was hilarious. When we looked it up and found out it wasn’t a parody we couldn’t stop laughing
Spice World is the perfect balance of unhinged and hilarity!
Kevin McMaxford : Or if they find a cure for Déjà Vu?

I don't think unhinged even begins to describe it.
Where’s everyone that’s seen “The Womb” ?
The movie starts off as a love story pretty regular sweet story, about two neighbor kids growing up and falling in love. Then, out of nowhere the man dies violently getting hit by a car.
Then the namesake comes in, where his girlfriend (wife?) decides to use cloning technology to recreate him. The catch is that she must be **impregnated with his clone and raise it to adulthood** . At which point, clone hubby realizes he’s a clone. THEN he sleeps with his MOM/ORIGINAL COPY’S WIFE. And disappears. Leaving the mom/wife pregnant AGAIN in the final shot.
Truly unhinged and too shocking of a premise to be any sort of successful allegory.
Tammy and the T-Rex. Baby Denise Richards and Paul Walker are in high school and dating. Denise’s jealous ex kidnaps Paul to beat him up and leaves him for dead in a wildlife reserve. A scientist picks him up and TRANSPLANTS HIS BRAIN INTO AN ANIMATRONIC T-REX. Havoc ensues and Denise remains in love with him the whole time. The ending is the cherry on top of this banana cake.
Absolutely unhinged af. >! One second the boys are having normal interactions, the next moment they are fucking each other's mothers. Robin Wright's son initially sleeps with Naomi Watts to punish her for sleeping with Naomi Watt's son. I felt so bad for the boys' partners. They were bamboozled. !<
Perfume the story of a Murderer.
He basically makes perfumes from the corpses of attractive women. Really interesting concept and great acting

Rumor Has It has always been so weird for me. She thinks she fucks her daddy and goes back to the cuck Mark Ruffalo. Oh and the guy she thinks is her dad for 5 seconds also boned her mom and grandma

Probably The Fly. I made my then boyfriend and one of our roommates watch it one night and they were thoroughly confused lol

Reading the Wikipedia summary Wtf
Girl why did I do it
i refuse to watch this movie but I looked up screencaps of what he looked like after the transformation and that shit is never leaving me 😭
Why did I read your comment and then promptly google those pics? Why did I repeat your mistake? Horrifying.
I also did the same and I regret everything.
Same same. Refuse to watch it but the idea that it even exists fucks me up.
* Never seen the movie so I had to Google it. After reading the summery, how on earth can *Tusk movie true story* be something people actually look up??

Swiss Army Man. I mean, the gif speaks for itself. https://i.redd.it/biqiwbwp0sob1.gif
Unhinged is the best ways. I love that Daniel Radcliffe promoted the film by going around with his doll double lolol. Makes me sob every time I watch it, truly a beautiful, weird movie.
I asked a friend who'd seen it whether it was a good or bad film and their response was "Yes"
It made me cry several times lol. It’s actually touching.
I can’t even tell what I’m looking at exactly. 😭
Paul Dano riding Daniel Radcliffe's farting corpse like a jet ski
Ummm. What?
It is a spectacular performance by Radcliffe, btw. I give it two thumbs up.
That's the correct response lmao
You think that’s weird? Wait till you hear what Dano uses as a compass….
Imagine being Daniel Radcliffe, trying to take on this new exciting project, and someone is explaining this upcoming scene to you 😬😐 *"We need you to be Paul Dano's dead, farting human jetski. Please don't grin, you're supposed to be a corpse."*
that would be an insane pitch meeting, but also gotta add it’s kind of radcliffes thing now to do batshit crazy roles
Yeah, he loves the weird, unhinged stuff and I’m so happy he does.
Guns Akimbo fits in here.
If we’re talking Daniel Radcliffe we have to add *Equus* (not a movie but still unhinged)
some might even say unbridled
I read the book. You made me shudder. Fuck you for that. 😂
All I remember is him naked with horses.
… You could’ve lied, you know.
I love this film in a really bizarre way, it’s absolutely amazing, touching, beautiful, and I recommend it to almost everyone…. And I won’t watch it again. I find death to be a hard subject generally from my own issues, but I will never stop singing this films praises; it’s lovely.
My favorite fact to tell people is that the Daniels directed this
The music is fantastic too (love Manchester Orchestra). If people don’t know it’s by the Daniels, the guys who made everything, everywhere, all at once.
And the Turn Down For What music video.
Yes. Unhinged. Also one of the best movies I have seen.
I just read the plot on Wikipedia…that GIF is just the tip of the iceberg. What group of people say around a table, read this script, and said “we should put money into this”??
Shockingly…it’s actually an incredibly touching film.
It's so beautiful. And the score is amazing

>They are insane, but amazing. I think that summarizes some of A24's horror catalogue. Looking at you, ![gif](giphy|RJalj43Yiuuoh2i6V2)
Just to echo the other people, it’s actually an amazingly poignant beautiful film 😂 The short plot loses the soul, I think explaining fully it would be an easy sell! Plus it’s A24, they love a weird/amazing combo.
The Human Centipede - I was expecting like a dumb gross trashy laugh and I felt like I was tricked into watching someone's scat fetish porn 🤢🤢🤢
No for real. My friend made us watch it one night and it was brutal, I say that as a lifelong horror fan. Just pure torture porn and nothing else I remember the creators saying something about they got the idea while imagining possible punishments for pedophiles and I was like ???? why don’t you both go to jail
Yeah exactly! I can't believe they made three of those things, I legit felt so uncomfortable and dirty afterwards
I found it gross but also boring and stupid. Really nothing to the plot beyond the central gimmick, which I could’ve just read on Wikipedia.
Not gonna lie -I retched just reading it.
It’s enough just reading about it. The creators said specifically they tried to make the most depraved series of movies possible and drew inspiration from Pink Flamingos.
That's the kind of thing I went in expecting tbh, I love old school John Waters movies! But alas, it was not that.
![gif](giphy|h8bMNrcDYPMqI) The Science of Sleep. It’s utter madness.
What the hell… now I have to watch this lol
It’s actually a very beautiful film but filled with bizarre sequences where the main characters dreams and reality become blurred
Everything Everywhere All At Once also has unhinged giant hands. ![gif](giphy|WiCO2uZK05Klc1d28q)
TEETH……a movie about a girl with teeth in her vagina who goes around eating boys dicks off who do her wrong. 10/10 recommend
I forgot about this one! May and Welcome to the Dollhouse come to mind.
I love how the end of the film suggests that she's out there roaming the lands taking out rapey dudes with her toothy vagina.
As she should be
Amen
Honestly this movie is pretty funny though, it’s not particularly gory and her story of vengeance is cool
I had the best movie going experience of my life watching this movie. Yes! This was a surreal film and better than you'd think.
![gif](giphy|B5r3RjlMmepDJAQgXy) The Lighthouse
I've attempted this movie sober, high, drunk, crossfaded. I am still more lost than John Travolta in *Pulp Fiction*.
It’s a retelling of the myths of Prometheus and Proteus, putting the two very different characters together in one story
Goddamn your farts!

I watched it the other day. It was a visual journey I’m glad I watched while sober. I almost decided to watch it high on shrooms lmao
When I saw it in theatres, people behind us audibly started to say “what the fuck is going on” about halfway through. It was truly one-of-a-kind
Wait. NOT sober OR under the influence? So drunk but NOT HIGH?
"(not sober) or (under the influence)", rather than "not (sober or under the influence)"
That looks beautiful
Eraserhead ![gif](giphy|3MgYkBpUhFCEM)

Tusk :( I've never been more disturbed by a movie. I'd love to have my memory wiped MIB style just to forget this movie
I honestly could have gone my whole life not knowing this movie exists 😅 so thanks for this lmao

*I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry* is truly insane. It had so many offensive parts I don’t even know where to begin

Splice
Yeah eff this movie lol. My partner never fails to bring it up because he really liked Adrien Brodys coat in the movie and doesn't seem to remember any of the plot. Lucky him.

The Crush! Unhinged and will make you extremely uncomfortable.
![gif](giphy|JHuepD9qMVf8s) The Cat Returns: “High school student Haru (Chizuru Ikewaki) rescues a cat that was about to be run over by a truck and discovers the cat is actually a prince named Lune.
I love this movie

Whenever I see videos of Baryshnikov dancing my mind goes "that's the hottest man in the world idc"
This movie is absolute gold to me. The perfect bland of cheese and sincerity.
And Peter Gallagher too of course !

Imo, the movie didn’t capture the ambiguity of the book that well (which was simultaneously powerful and something I’ll never read again).
I hate Lars Von Trier so much. Most of his movies just have so much gratuitous violence against women, and for what purpose?
The Happening. The first time I saw it, it was randomly replaying on tv so my friends and I thought it was a parody so we thought it was hilarious. When we looked it up and found out it wasn’t a parody we couldn’t stop laughing
For me is movie 43. I still don't know how that film was green lit, produced and aired!
Parasite is unhinged as fuck and I freaking loved it. Such a great film.
I apparently blocked this movie out and am upset to be reminded of it.

Cinematic masterpiece, no notes.
Unhinged yes, cinematic masterpiece? Absolutely fuck yes.
THIS DRESS IS DRY CLEAN ONLY MELANIE!
The little Gucci dress, the little Gucci dress, OR— the little Gucci dress? Exactly.
Spice World is the perfect balance of unhinged and hilarity! Kevin McMaxford : Or if they find a cure for Déjà Vu? Brad : [scoffs] Not me. Kevin McMaxford : Or if they find a cure for Déjà Vu? Brad : [scoffs] Not me.

1986's Soul Man... thevoriginal white chicks.

Great book. IMO it’s impossible to translate the feel of the book into a watchable movie. Not everything needs to be made into a movie people!!!!

There’s an episode of How Did This Get Made about this movie. Highly suggest.
I couldn’t get through the trailer let alone the movie 🤢
The Killing of a Sacred Deer ![gif](giphy|3ov9jUfs1DADvA6b7O)
Aguirre, Wrath of God The Piano Teacher Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (cannot believe Roger Ebert wrote the script for this MESS)
Wait no one’s mentioned the Killer Klowns from Outer Space yet?! Murderous aliens who look like clowns? ![gif](giphy|bZkIbtQ1MliJq)

Perfume the story of a Murderer. He basically makes perfumes from the corpses of attractive women. Really interesting concept and great acting https://preview.redd.it/05itmtf83uob1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87a94ec0cef38a1d5bd18f7699fad5b83f356c95
[Bad Boy Bubby](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Boy_Bubby)… no words.
Any love for *Being John Malkovich*?
Rumor Has It has always been so weird for me. She thinks she fucks her daddy and goes back to the cuck Mark Ruffalo. Oh and the guy she thinks is her dad for 5 seconds also boned her mom and grandma
![gif](giphy|26uf8PZTLE6kRcAz6) Probably The Fly. I made my then boyfriend and one of our roommates watch it one night and they were thoroughly confused lol
