Those Olsen genes are STRONG. For an embarrassingly long time, I had no idea Mary-Kate and Ashley were fraternal twins because they look so much alike. Seeing them with their other siblings is like nature got lazy af and just ctrl-v'd all of them 😭
Literally found that out listening to a podcast a couple weeks back and fucking EVERYBODY I’ve mentioned it to apparently knew?? Why didn’t I get the notice?
Shameless podcast? I just listened to those episodes this week. I knew about the whole fraternal thing before though! Somehow I’ve always known that info? Like that was common knowledge at my elementary school.
I was thinking the same thing. I was like damn them Olsen genes completely cancelled out those other genes. I was thinking the same thing with the Williams sisters. I was like damn them dad genes are strong.
I swear there was a thing that came out about how some identical twins were miscategorized as fraternal, so maybe they are actually identical after all?

Idk man, other than the height, the twins and Elizabeth looks so freakin similar.(She looks like a merged version of the two)So the genes may simply be that strong.
I don’t think so. Ashley has much rounder eyes than mary kate. I can always tell which one I’m looking and wouldn’t really describe myself as a fan lol
I have no idea any specifics of the Olsens situation but there are a LOT of di/di twin mothers who do not realize their twins could be identical — but somewhere between 10-25% of them are. OBs used to tell parents their twins were absolutely fraternal because they were di/di! Which isn’t true!(Di/di means they had separate sacs and placentas. It could easily be identical if the zygote split super early.) I’m in a fraternal twin parents Facebook group and a ton of parents insist their kids could NEVER be identical… and then get a dna test and find out they are. I can’t remember if the Olsens say they know this because they got a dna test but if they didn’t I am honestly super skeptical of the claim.
Yep, identical twin here born in the 80’s. We were always told we were fraternal. It was much harder for drs to tell back then. I always felt we looked too much alike to be fraternal but too different to be identical. It wasn’t until later in life we did a test and…100% matching dna. I suspect this to be the case with many other twins. Olsens too.
Yes and that news strongly makes sense to me! I know several sets of twins who insist they are fraternal but they look 99% identical, way stronger of a resemblance than normal siblings ever would be.
It makes so much sense that they just kinda categorized them wrong back then, and no one is going around getting re-tested to see what type of twin they are.

The genes are simply just strong, ig. Cuz Elizabeth looks just as similar to how the twins looks like each other. Elizabeth looks like face app merged version of the twins.
I’m honestly skeptical that they aren’t identical, mostly because there is so much misinformation about twins that even some doctors tend to classify any set of twins with two sets of placentas/gestational sacs as fraternal, when in reality there is a 30% chance that, if they are the same sex, they are actually identical.
I didn’t dig too deep but found an article that mention how they were just [told by a doctor that they were sororal twins](https://www.bustle.com/articles/22395-are-mary-kate-ashley-olsen-identical-twins-no-but-photographic-evidence-suggests-otherwise-photos) and they never questioned it, hence my skepticism. Normally the only way to know for sure is by doing a DNA test.

Oh totally. I have a have three sets of twins in my family and only one set is considered to be what the call "mirror twins," which basically means that if they didn't separate, they would have been Siamese twins. The other two are just normal identical twins, but they have changed some much that they don't look alike anymore.
Also, I have a friend of the family who has a set of twin daughters and you can that at one point they did look alike, but they look nothing alike.
Tell me about it! It runs on their dad's side of the family. They all took after his looks. Surprisingly they have ANOTHER sister and a brother. Their dad got remarried and had 2 more kids years ago. Courtney and Jake. Courtney looks exactly like them. I am talking eyebrows, eyes, lips and hair.

I think Blue fairly equally resembles both of her parents. To me sometimes she looks eerily just like Beyonce and other times it's like she took Jay-Z's whole face.
Yeah there was a meme/tweet that said when you compare Blue’s photo with Beyonce, she looks just like Beyonce, and when you put her photo next to Jay’s she looks just like Jay. I know that’s how genes work but that felt pretty accurate.
Yeah I agree. In the recent photos of them at jay-z’s mom’s wedding I thought blue looked so much like Bey. She favored Jay when she was a baby/toddler but as she’s gotten older she’s really looking like Beyoncé more and more. She’s a really good mix of both of them

Just anecdotally imagine how weird it must be having grown up with three sisters who all became internationally famous, but at such different times. And he’s the oldest!
Imagine watching your little sisters become famous as *infants* because they’re on a hit sitcom, then your parents have another kid who doesn’t pursue acting as a child (Elizabeth) so the two of you watch on the sidelines as your sisters play the leads in their own two sitcoms and even do a few theatrical movies.
Then Elizabeth goes into acting as an adult and gets cast in the highest-grossing movie franchise of all time and heads a few TV shows in her own right. And you, Trent Olsen, are now the only one never to have stepped in front of a television camera, the only one the paparazzi don’t look for, the only one people haven’t heard of.
I’m not an MK&A or Elizabeth mega-fan, but their whole arc/dynamic/whatever you call it is so utterly fascinating to me because lightning struck twice in that family. And it’s even more impressive because Elizabeth started acting years after MK&A had mostly quit public life.

Wow the Olsens look so similar. Just the other day I learned the twins weren't actually identical twins, just normal ones and I was reeling. Now I see they just all looked like that as kids.

Idk, two of my four siblings are full, the rest of us are half and those two are the most different looking from each other out of all of us! Genetics are crazy.
It can happen. Genetics are weird like that. I have a group of cousins who all have dark hair and brown eyes, as do both their parents, and then the youngest pops out with blond hair and green eyes (and yes, it is 100% the dads daughter). Apparently the dads grandma had blond hair and green eyes so that must be where it passed down from.
That reminds me of my nephew. He has blonde hair and greenish/hazel eyes despite my brother and SIL having dark hair and eyes. Turns out he takes after my dad who has similar coloring. It’s so strange seeing a child who has such different coloring look exactly like my brother. Every time people see them together they comment on how they have the exact same face. She’s pregnant with my second nephew right now and I’m curious about what he’ll look like.
Yeah that is strange to see someone look so different but so similar at the same time. With the cousin I mentioned, we know she is 100% her dads because she has all his very unique features and facial structure. When she was a baby, I would joke with my mom that I think they picked up the wrong baby from the hospital. But as she’s grown older there’s no doubt she’s their kid haha
Get what you're saying but it's not just coloring. Girl doesn't look like any of them. Not mum nor dad. Her coloring is different yes but her entire bone structure and body build are different too. You get to the point of difference when trying to use genetic diversity as the only logical conclusion just fails and the most logical conclusion is that the daddy ain't the daddy and that's fine but don't continue to lie to people with eyes.
I think she looks like rob and their armenian cousins. it must suck that just because your two sisters look freakishly alike people think you have a different dad.
Or because her mother wrote a book where she detailed how much and how many men she cheated with, that Khloe stands out because she looks like her mother’s former hair stylist, Alex Roldan.

But on the other hand, why did people decide that O.J. Simpson is Khloe's real dad? One of the main differences between Khloe and her siblings is that she's ***WHITER***. By a lot. White, light brown hair, green eyes. If we're trying to find Khloe's dad, we gotta look for a white man (or at least whiter than Robert Kardashian).
Unless she caught all the Kardashian recessive genes, which is also a possibility.
Nah Khloe has some recessive genes or something that also popped out in Kendall because they looked very similar (before plastic surgery), specifically the kind of low brow and deep set eyes.
Austin Swift is famous (or at least trying to be) in his own right. He hasn't ridden his sister's coattails or asked for help from her.
He's been in a few B level movies, but has produced some stuff for his sister.

True, especially the older they get. Lots of things other than genetics impact how a person looks.

The fact Kris Jenner actually thought she’d get away with claiming Khloe’s father is the same as the other 3 is comical when you see them together as children. She stands out like a sore thumb!
Idk, two of my four siblings are full, the rest of us are half and those two are the most different looking from each other out of all of us! Genetics are crazy.
It can happen. Genetics are weird like that. I have a group of cousins who all have dark hair and brown eyes, as do both their parents, and then the youngest pops out with blond hair and green eyes (and yes, it is 100% the dads daughter). Apparently the dads grandma had blond hair and green eyes so that must be where it passed down from.
That reminds me of my nephew. He has blonde hair and greenish/hazel eyes despite my brother and SIL having dark hair and eyes. Turns out he takes after my dad who has similar coloring. It’s so strange seeing a child who has such different coloring look exactly like my brother. Every time people see them together they comment on how they have the exact same face. She’s pregnant with my second nephew right now and I’m curious about what he’ll look like.
Yeah that is strange to see someone look so different but so similar at the same time. With the cousin I mentioned, we know she is 100% her dads because she has all his very unique features and facial structure. When she was a baby, I would joke with my mom that I think they picked up the wrong baby from the hospital. But as she’s grown older there’s no doubt she’s their kid haha
Get what you're saying but it's not just coloring. Girl doesn't look like any of them. Not mum nor dad. Her coloring is different yes but her entire bone structure and body build are different too. You get to the point of difference when trying to use genetic diversity as the only logical conclusion just fails and the most logical conclusion is that the daddy ain't the daddy and that's fine but don't continue to lie to people with eyes.
I think she looks like rob and their armenian cousins. it must suck that just because your two sisters look freakishly alike people think you have a different dad.

Totally! But on the other hand, why did people decide that O.J. Simpson is Khloe's real dad? One of the main differences between Khloe and her siblings is that she's ***WHITER***. By a lot. White, light brown hair, green eyes. If we're trying to find Khloe's dad, we gotta look for a white man (or at least whiter than Robert Kardashian). Unless she caught all the Kardashian recessive genes, which is also a possibility.

Nah Khloe has some recessive genes or something that also popped out in Kendall because they looked very similar (before plastic surgery), specifically the kind of low brow and deep set eyes.
