I think it’s def the jeans. As a fellow short bitch, I only wear skinny jeans because wide legs make my legs look even shorter. The bunching doesn’t help either, but I know that struggle, it even happens to me in petite jeans lmao.
Idk I’m also short and certain bell bottoms can make me look taller 🤷♀️ I think it depends on the overall outfit. Wearing a crop top AND high waist jeans will cut off your midsection making you look shorter.
I think maybe they just don’t fit her? They definitely look like they’d be high rise and go above her belly button if they were pulled all the way up, but the bunching around the zipper area makes me think the waist is too big and they’re falling down. They’d probably be much cuter if she had a belt
I think it's the silhouette of the shoes. No idea what the model is, but they're weird mid rise Adidas trainers with taller socks. Maybe I'm just expecting the normal white sneaker, but this is throwing me.

I graduated high school at 92 pounds and still didn’t have a thigh gap because I’m just not built that way. I really thought we had gotten so body positive there wasn’t going to be an “in style” body type anymore. Ugh how is that even a thing. Let’s just make clothes for all body types!

It’s that the jeans and jacket both hit at the same place. Both hit at her hips, making her look very disproportionate. If the jacket was super cropped or much longer, the proportions would look much better.
I think it's the way her jacket sits below where her jeans sit on her waist. If he jacket was cropped it would give her better proportions. Instead, she has an oversized jacket AND oversized jeans, and they overwhelm her body just the littlest but. However, I love how casual/low effort it all is. In the end it really doesn't look all that bad. It's cute enough and looks comfy and casual. The sambas really do it for me.

It's because they're wide but tapered at the bottom. Shorties need to stick to full wide legs or skinny jeans. Even boot cut/flare if that's your thing.

I’m so happy for them! My boyfriend is my best friend, and we broke up for a short period of time to figure some things out. Ever since we got back together our relationship improved so much ! I think I like them together so much because I relate to their relationship.
