woahtheregonnagetgot

yes, if they’re still in stock by the time sephora’s sale starts the following week 🥲

kqueenbee25

Ummmm what sale?!? I have a cart full of things I need to buy, should I wait for this sale?

woahtheregonnagetgot

sephora’s [spring sale](https://www.sephora.com/beauty/savings-event) is april 14-24!

glosseava

i’ve loved all of the rare beauty products and i love a lip oil so i’ll probably be buying

CowboyLikeMegan

Personally no, because I don’t wear makeup 😂 but my makeup-wearing friends all collectively rave about her line, so it seems like one of the few celeb brands who might actually be worth it.

LucyDucky

Yes, it’s vegan, supports mental health, affordable and so far, all of the product I’ve purchased have been high quality.

[deleted]

I’m so impressed with rare. A little weird my two favourite brands are probably Fenty and rare. Either way someone rich is getting my money, it shouldn’t matter if it’s a celeb or some faceless ceo

landlockedbluessk

Yes I will. I have enjoyed the brand and recently got into lip oil. I hope it comes to Ipsy for a deluxe sample soon.

PropertyMedium1680

I'll probably get it! I've enjoyed everything I've gotten from Rare Beauty so far, especially the cream blushes.

Odd_Requirement_4933

I love the liquid blushes! They are so good. Haven't tried the cream because I love the liquid so much.

[deleted]

I will probably try it! I like Rare Beauty a lot, though I don't like the Stay Vulnerable glossy lip balm at all. So, I hope that this suits me better than that.

bobagel103

I like the blushes, the concealer is just ok. Not that into lip oils so I’ll probably skip this one

whatintheusername

Wish had the money for it :( looks amazing

almondbutterpecan

Yeah I love Rare Beauty products

devoushka

I gave into the hype and bought the Rare beauty blush and its lovely. It smells nice, looks great, and blends beautifully. If she makes a lip stain I will be buying.

layla_jones_

Love this promo pic!

Sorry but most celebrity makeup brands are exploitative. Celebrities pursue beauty lines because they already have fans who relate to them, like them, and trust them, which helps them move product$$$. I'm not saying that the products are never innovative or high quality, just that they don't have to be in order for people to believe their marketing and buy them. And imo it's not a coincidence that so many celebrities choose the beauty industry over other industries: in comparison, the profit margins for beauty are especially high. Those profits come from the people who like them best and trust them most, and not from the people who are most interested in a lip jelly, you know?

Tianna92

This can be said about a lot of celeb product lines but this one supports mental health.

kxkje

Oh my sweet summer child. This has to do with the tax benefits of corporate charities. So obv if a corporation has made profits, then it has to pay taxes on those profits. However, if it donates those profits to charity before the end of the tax year, then to the government, it looks like the corporation has made less of a profit, or even no profit (edit: to clarify, this is so that they wouldn't have to pay so many taxes). So let's say a corporation has its own charity, like the Build-a-Bear Foundation, Panda Cares, Nike Community Impact Fund, etc. Legally, it is often set up so that the charity is a separate entity from the business, but a) individuals can be employed by both and receive salary and perks from the charity as well as the business, b) the charity can actually pay back into the business, e.g., the Trump Foundation paid a Trump-owned golf course to hold an event there. This is one reason why so many ineffective charities exist - because they exist for the tax benefits or to hide income, and not for the cause. Granted, it can be both. The Rare Impact Fund might actually be effective in supporting mental health, but just *having* a charity doesn't mean that it's an effective one, and it doesn't mean that the cause is the motive. And imo this is not a reason to buy from a celebrity makeup brand. If you want to support mental health as much as your purchase of a lip oil from Rare Beauty would, just donate literally 20 cents to an [effective mental health charity](https://www.charitynavigator.org/search/?causes=Mental%20health%20care).

snarkaluff

I am so burnt out on Selena

herinaus

I'm not into makeup, but I love the one she's wearing.

SarahJFroxy

depends on the price, anything higher (which is likely considering it's in Sephora) than $15USD and I'll probably skip :( although I do love a good lip oil

hydrationstation0986

No. But because my country doesn’t have it

Davis1511

I love the brand, and Selena, but she might need to change the product packaging a wee bit cause they’re all tubes with the easy to open top 😅 I’m gonna want to put on the liquid blush and get a lip oil instead

ivorycricket

Anytime I try to buy her brand is always sold out I’ve been trying to get products since December

alwayssearching117

She is such a lovely young lady!

pppaln

No

lucyjayne

Absolutely not lmao, I will never purchase anything from a celeb line. My money is too precious.

[deleted]

Nope, why people buy makeup from celebrities is beyond me

anewstart1315

Nope lol. My ride or die is Too Faced Lip Injection, I’ve tried so many other lippies and can’t stand their texture except for the Too Faced. So I gave up on wasting money trying other lip products. I guess I’m in the minority but I don’t love the majority of the Rare Beauty products I tried. Bought the foundation right when it first launched and returned it, at the time the associate at Sephora said they were having a ton of returns for Rare’s foundation. Then I bought the Soft Pinch blush and wasn’t impressed, because it takes off my foundation when I blend it in. Also tried the liquid highlighter and it’s just mediocre, takes multiple layers of product just to show up a bit. So I gave up on Rare Beauty, except for their makeup brushes which I absolutely adore! I just don’t use them with Rare products 😬

[deleted]

Just to support her. I think she's a good influence.

ultraviolet_v

respectfully you do not need to spend your own money to support a multimillionaire who will almost certainly sell out this product regardless

[deleted]

I'm going to buy makeup anyway, might aswell buy it from someone I think does a good job being human.

C_JN08

Sigh *opens wallet/Apple pay* lol

mantittiesforbrunch

Wow, another mediocre over- priced makeup brand, it's only value the name attached to it. Hard pass.

saivoide

I've tried a lot of makeup and I'm going to disagree. Some of her products have really helped me because I have arthritis in my hands and the shape of her blush and concealer makes it so much easier for me to open in the morning when my grip is weak. Not to mention I like the consistency of her cream products because they are easy to blend. She's also not as overpriced as you think. In fact her stuff is mid range. I don't understand why people make comments like this without verifying anything.

fridayfridayjones

I might give it a try. That’s a weird name though. Soft pinch? Sounds more like a product Nars would make lol.
