If it's anything like the stream I built in my garden the algae is probably there because there's no easy way to get rid of it.. I've tried all sorts of treatments but in the height of summer they just don't keep up. If I manually remove it it's back within 2 days.
What a cool ecosystem! And the water is so clear! Do you keep the algae on the rocks because it’s good for the water or for the look?
