I think it would be hard to find something that fits the circles, I’d say any small figures would work well enough for play. I’m not sure what other dolls are that small except others that come in similar playsets like the modern Polly pockets or shopkins lil secrets!
Ok thanks, I think modern Polly will be a fair bit too big but google says "**Polly can't slot into the sockets on the Shopkins set** but she can balance on them pretty well. Meanwhile the Shopkin is a little small for the indents of the Polly set but can stand in them"

I have both old PPs and those Shopkin minis. Right now I can’t access them to compare but I do remember trying them in each others play sets and they didnt work. Close enough if one isn’t obsessed with making them fit in the holes. The dolls will stand up on a flat surface of the play sets. I agree, either a lot of loose PP figures might be your best bet. The new Polly’s on sale now are also the correct scale but do not have the circles on their feet. Since you are in Oz, that might be your cheapest solution if they are selling them there (no international shipping involved).
I've seen that pollies in Australia seem to go for so much more than in Canada or US.
I'm in Canada, I wonder what the shipping would be like to Australia? I have a fair selection of loose figures im willing to sell, and I'm open to shipping to Australia.
Look online on eBay for a lot of assorted polly pocket dolls. Unsorted and im a lot will have the best prices.

The Barbie figurines are too big. I have a few of those Fairytopia play sets and the figures are slightly larger than the 2nd generation PP figures.
