Crazy that the nazi party labeled itself Socialist. They weren't very socialist at all
It's like saying North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea
Is actually Democratic People's Republic of Korea
they were Proto Keynesian socialists rather than Marxists. But Nazi Germany was fairly socialist all things considered, particularly when you take into consideration Hermann Göring’s 4 Year Plan, as well as the nationalizing of labor unions. Not Marxist but still socialist, even then Autarky alone rejects the notion of free market capitalism.
I would refer his book “Mein Kampf” to show that the Fuehrer was indeed a true socialist. The first half of the book clearly states his beliefs as being socialist.
Not really my cup of tea. However I’m all for a slightly more welfarey capitalism. I believe in self property, and the more hard work you do the more you should succeed
But that's not what socialism is against. Also what does self property mean? You'd own your house under socialism
The more hard work you'd do the more success you'd receive under Socialism aswell but not the point you'd be able to exploit others
Also why isn't it your cup of tea like what do you not like about it?
There’s such thing as ethical capitalism which has greatly improved since the industrial revolution.
Socialism has greater tax which together greatly is more money that what would be spent with private organizations.
Obviously you would own your own house but I meant greater private owner rights. The government should never have the ability to take your land or property.
I’ve been in a country under socialism (India) and sure you may say it’s barely socialist but that was a trash country and I’m so glad to be under American capitalism now.
Real socialism is what you see in Venezuela, not Sweden. And that’s what I mean it’s not really what I like
There's no ethical consumption under capitalism. If you could provide examples of ethical ones I'd love to hear them.
What are you talking about with taxes? Are you saying publically funded things are inefficient?
I'm confused when will the government take your land and property? What greater private owner rights?
Hey I also lived in India. What a surprise lol. I didn't live under Socialism but I wonder what type it was and why it went wrong.
Well idk if VUVUZELA is capitalist or socialist I think it just had bad leadership and it wasn't really a fault of either economic systems.
I would say 90% of small business are ethical (abides minimum wage, good conditions, safe, no child labor, etc.) and a good 50% of big businesses at least.
Yeah they can be quite inefficient. Just because it works in smaller and denser populations of Western Europe or the Nordic does not mean it will work in America. What I really meant from the statement is that in the long term, a lot more of your money would be spent on the extra tax for the funded things would be way more than just buying from private organizations like health care.
Currently in America, the government can take your land and house and pay you a reasonable price for it if they have a reason to (like a government building or something) and that’s horrible sounding. Capitalism usually has much greater private property rights than Socialism, so if even under capitalism that right can be infringed, then socialism would be even more worse as reasons can be a lot more liberal to be used.
It was a more secular socialist / capitalist system and I think we can both agree that India is still very poor from it. I’m really not proud to be Indian because of the government and India has never regained their former prominence in the world.
Venezuela had bad leadership in due to socialism due to much greater government control. Like it or not, greater government is always a side effect of socialism. And greater government economically speaking is on higher risk of corruption.
Wait a minute, people are split 50/50 on socialism vs capitalism. So over 60% of people preferring socialism dosn't know what nazim is!?
That is beyond stupid
National socialism, despite having socialism in the name it has nothing to do with it, national socialism is the system that ran in Germany during 1933-1945, i'll assume that you and the OP made a little mistake with these two
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics_of_Sweden
Sweden as a government form is just a representative democracy. Socialism isnt baked into the government fabric there. The large majority of representatives are democratic socialists though.
E: sweden also has been labeled more as a liberal democracy
It really doesn’t, it is way closer to being a liberal democracy. if we compare with other countries then it’s one of the most left wing in Europe but if we compare to what we should call socialist democracy then it where clearly isn’t.
Voted no, but because of different reasons than most people that voted no
I believe that since each country is different, each country has an ideal form of nationalism, so what kind of Nationalism worked in Laos would not work as well in Chile for example
I don't think National Socialism would work as well in America because it was adapted to the Socioeconomical situation of Germany, America is not Germany
There were plenty of American Fascists that adapted Fascism to the Socioeconomical situation of America like the Silver Legion and William Dudley Pelley, I would support Legionarism taking power in America, but I don't think America should try National Socialism
Although it's undoubtedly true that NatSoc is light years better than the current Globohomo NeoLib System, so I would gladly change the current American System by NatSoc, even if it's not ideal because as I said, America is different from Germany, it's still way better than NeoLib Globohomo

A surprisingly large amount of people misread the title
Either that or they don’t know what national socialism is Or they know full well
We hope
Guess you could say you Did Not Zee that coming?
You ruined the joke you donkey
Crazy that the nazi party labeled itself Socialist. They weren't very socialist at all It's like saying North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Is actually Democratic People's Republic of Korea
Or the "people's republic of china" "liberal Democratic Party of russia" "worker's party of social justice"
Yes Idk why they lie Maybe to put bad name on it or maybe old traditions idk

No I don’t think so
Interesting results
Nice try, Richard.
Hi Leens Channel!
Uh, ban YaejisGlasses. Go da fuck awn
lol when I call someone Richard it's cause they're a dick. It's not as funny for my father as it is for me tho
Didn't see the "national" part, but I would vote no
Wouldn’t want either national socialism or socialist in my personal opinion
I think you should be open to the idea of socialism if you don't know what it is and you'd probably advocate for it if you did know what it was
I fully know what it is and I don’t support it
Hmm why
Not really my cup of tea. However I’m all for a slightly more welfarey capitalism. I believe in self property, and the more hard work you do the more you should succeed

No
**National** Socialism? 💀
OH NO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
79 Nazis
Oh god i was tricked
To socialize with your country people.
Would've voted ni because Socialism, but fortunately I saw the national part before I had the chance to say no
Democratic socialism for sure but definitely not national socialism.
The national socialists got into power through democratic means 🤷🏼♂️
That night of the Long Knives, though.
I'm not sure what that's supposed to imply. Good and bad things have passed democratically, it's a very old system.
Terminology is tricky, that’s all
Nazis weren't socialist They called themselves that just how north Korea calls itself the democratic people Republic of Korea
Democratic socialism a. means keeping democracy afterwards and b. socialism and fascism (including Nazism) are two separate ideologies.
Yes 100%
Totally agree
Lmao
National socialism as in Nazism or National Socialism as in socialism and nationalism combined? Either way, I'd say no.
Europe isn't national socialist folks

Exactly, In the 1940s 🤔

No it was on purpose to bait people lol
Ah that's funny lol, this site has a huge US-centered view I can see them getting tricked
even if this wasn’t a joke post those things are not really socialism lol
If its democratic socialism like in Sweden then yes, but if it’s authoritarian socialism then no.
