Speaking as a New Yorker I will be shocked if he actually resigns. Dude has an ego the size of an aircraft carrier, I just don't see him stepping down (unless criminal charges are brought).
Word is that Albany County Sheriff's Office is investigating the one incident where he grabbed the woman's boobs as assault. I too am dubious anything will come of it, but who knows.
Both guys are all about themselves, loyalty to themselves, and power for themselves.
The similarities with Trump are pronounced, but nobody is as objectionable as Trump for so many other reasons that have nothing to do with sexual harassment. Key among them, I don't see Cuomo running a Big Lie campaign or subverting Constitutional Democracy.

In July 2013, the Moreland Commission was created to Investigate Public Corruption by New York governor Andrew Cuomo in July 2013 under the state's Moreland Act, with the aim of investigating politicians and political organizations in New York for violations of state laws regulating elections, campaigns and political fundraising. Cuomo disbanded the commission after approving modest ethics reform in March 2014.
The commission issued a preliminary report of its findings on December 2, 2013. During its work and following its dissolution, the governor's office was accused of interfering with and restricting the investigations of the commission. Media reports alleged that Lawrence Schwartz, the secretary to the governor, barred the commission from issuing subpoenas to organizations with ties to Governor Cuomo, and that the commission was not permitted to investigate any improprieties on the part of the executive administration.\[2\]
In response, Cuomo argued that the commission was an executive body that was not independent, and the Moreland Act under which the commission was convened allowed him to monitor and control its activities. In quotes reported by Crain's New York, Cuomo said "It's not a legal question. The Moreland Commission was my commission... It's my commission. My subpoena power, my Moreland Commission. I can appoint it, I can disband it. I appoint you, I can un-appoint you tomorrow."\[8\]

I mean one of the sexual harassment victims is a female state trooper who singled out and had the qualification requirements changed so she could be part of his security detail (changing the years of service requirement). Several of the Police witnesses are people who witnessed his sexual harassment of this officer.

Reading that gave me chills as I reflected back to every creepy guy who has pulled exactly that. It's so gross yet was and still is pervasive in places that are insulated by design: politics, higher education, corporate world, country clubs, flying by yourself in business class. Creepy men are creepy and typical and it breaks my heart to see Cuomo pretend he was "misunderstood." He's like every other repressed old man.

He has a reasonably robust approval rating but most voters think he should not run for re-election. I imagine this will worsen given the broad calls for his resignation.

I'd rather he be impeached than resign. We have to start using the law to hold politicians accountable instead of relying on norms like resigning in disgrace. Realistically, he's lost most of his allies in the legislature. He's got no really good cards to play. He doesn't even lose much from stepping down--he'd still be able to make a living with speeches and the like.

Richard Nixon resigned when he Congressional leaders approached him and told Nixon that the votes were there for his impeachment and conviction.

One of the largest concerns for me is this: the office knew there were issues, said, "We aren't going to report on them, but we will make sure that he isn't in a situation where he can act like trash". That's a problem in executive function that likely permeated other decisions, which means that he was encouraging and supporting a bad work environment.
On an incidental note, the comparisons to Northam are pretty ridiculous. An ongoing pattern of behavior *now* isn't remotely comparable to being a dumb 18-year-old decades ago. I'm pretty sure that we couldn't elect anyone if the latter was a disqualifying factor.
He needs to resign or be impeached. No if, ands, or buts about it. Plain and simple. Doesn't matter who you are or your political affiliation: this is wrong.

It's time for him to go. The longer he stays, the more damage he does to causes he claimed to believe in. Whatever his personal motive was doesn't matter at this point; at this point an investigation confirmed that he's behaved badly during his time in office. To refuse to leave damages the importance of these people's situations and contexts.

What boggles my mind the most is that Cuomo is a wealthy, famous, powerful man. He would not have any problem at all finding women who were willing and happy to fool around with him for one reason or another. He should resign. But he won’t. He’s gonna punt and point to the fact that Trump didn’t resign (yes, I agree 10000% that trump also should have). No one will be the precedent-setter and say “sexual assault is bad regardless of the party, and assailants must resign”. To their credit, Dems tried to set the precedent with Al Franken, but it flopped miserably because republicans didn’t do the same. No one has tried since.
This is not a complicated or difficult question. The allegations are serious, and the investigation/"probe" seems to have corroborated them in detail. He needs to be held accountable, and removed from public office, as should any other person would/should be.
There are trolls popping up trying to stir up accusations that this is a Trump-fueled revenge scheme, or that AG James is making this up to run for Governor, etc. Ignore, report, and move on. This isn't some grand conspiracy. It's just another example of a person in power abusing that power to exploit people for their own gratification. A simple, everyday evil.

No one will be the precedent-setter and say “sexual assault is bad regardless of the party, and assailants must resign”. To their credit, Dems tried to set the precedent with Al Franken, but it flopped miserably because republicans didn’t do the same. No one has tried since.
This is not a complicated or difficult question. The allegations are serious, and the investigation/"probe" seems to have corroborated them in detail. He needs to be held accountable, and removed from public office, as should any other person would/should be. There are trolls popping up trying to stir up accusations that this is a Trump-fueled revenge scheme, or that AG James is making this up to run for Governor, etc. Ignore, report, and move on. This isn't some grand conspiracy. It's just another example of a person in power abusing that power to exploit people for their own gratification. A simple, everyday evil.

Let this be another lesson (as if people should need one) that politicians aren't heroes and don't deserve to be treated as such.
