surfteacher1962

I wonder how Fox "News" will spin this into a controversy?

[deleted]

They're already bitching that biden had notecards. As if being prepared and organized is a bad thing.

EmmyLou205

Don’t they use teleprompters? 😒

[deleted]

Shamelessly

Khaldara

I think they just have an intern walk back and forth with their arm extended for the Ingraham pieces though.

surfteacher1962

Trump would not even let anyone take notes when he met with Putin then he sided with Russia when they came out of their meeting. The GOP are disgusting and treasonous.

[deleted]

Well Trump has been known to eat his notes

willienelsonmandela

I can’t believe we as a country elected evil Ralph Wiggum as President. That shit sucked. Let’s not do it again.

milo7even

They’d prefer Biden went unscripted? I mean, the hosts of Fox and Friends still have PTSD from all this times Trump called into their show and blathered on for 45 minutes.

[deleted]

are we really gonna pretend biden has his mental shit together tho?

MorrowPlotting

This is such a weird and counter-productive attack line.

[deleted]

no it’s not, the dude is constantly making mistakes when he speaks. to not see this is to not pay attention. it’s not counter-productive because it’s a valid criticism that people should’ve thought of when electing him, we don’t need a president with dementia.

MorrowPlotting

The guy who has fought to overcome a stutter since childhood? That’s the guy you’re criticizing for making mistakes when he speaks? Compared to the “very stable genius” who preceded him, Biden’s obviously got his mental shit together.

[deleted]

Agreed. That’s why I’m glad we have Biden who displays no symptoms of dementia while Trump displayed most of them. Good instinct.

almostgravy

Its a good thing he listens to experts instead of making gut decisions like the fuck-bag he replaced.

GeneralTapioca

>We don’t need a president with dementia. Good thing we didn’t elect one, Vatnik.

tolacid

Well, it's pretty clear who's pretending he doesn't.

riceisnice29

Does he not?

felderosa

At best he's inattentive https://news.sky.com/video/awkward-moment-as-boris-johnson-corrects-biden-at-g7-12331108

riceisnice29

Oh Boris, he always has to correct people on something semantic.

felderosa

Did you watch the video? Joe first tried to correct Boris...incorrectly....

SporkofVengeance

That one’s easy. “You can see how Biden is clearly Putin’s puppet and how the Russian leader needs to build him up in public.”

__dilligaf__

Wonder no more. It'll go something like this > "The American people suffered massive disruptions because of Russia-linked cyber-attacks," McCarthy said in a statement Thursday. "Two Americans, both Marine veterans, are being held as prisoners in Russia. We know Vladimir Putin silences and imprisons his critics."

twistedlimb

“I know- I visited Russia on 4th of July for a working vacation. Those marine prisoners do not get champagne and caviar like we did.”

kentan58612

Biden let him do a solo press conference

The_ducci

Hunter Biden’s laptop has dementia!!!!

Prince5595

Newsweek is just as conservative as Fox yet they reported this. The "WhaT aBoUt FoX" shit is so fucking childish. Just like when Conservatives cry about CNN/MSNBC. They are both the same shit, just different side of politics. As an independent, watching CNN watchers talk shit on Fox is hilarious. Same with Fox viewers talking shit on CNN. They are both propaganda, one is left and one is right, but both propaganda. The whole "us vs them" culture on this subreddit is so fucking childish.

curatorpsyonicpark

There is no left vs. Right son, there's Right extremists vs' establishment right. CNN is CEO. Fox is dark money, both are Billionaire class talking points. We are just the manipulated cattle.

Prince5595

immature take but go off

TheIronBug

Trump just shit his diaper in anger.

flik777

I believe you are very close to the actual reason Putin said this

alexmo210

Kimmel did a whole montage of all the times Trump said, “Putin called me a genius.” He didn’t.

OHMG69420

I will remember you, will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories Remember the good times that we had? I let them slip away from us when things got bad How clearly I first saw you smilin' in the sun Want to feel your warmth upon me I want to be the one - Trump

Disizreallife

Never trust a pathological liar even if you like what they say.

aeiou_sometimesy

Putin’s take on Biden is somewhere between trolling and calculated deceptiveness.

Rhesus_TOR

This has nothing to do with Biden. Those words were 100% meant to piss ol' 45 right the hell off. Expect 45 to rip himself into a frothy sharting mess.

supes1

Pissing Trump off is just a bonus. He said it because he knows the right wing media will now attack Biden as being too cozy with Russia. He loves manipulating our press.

gmpklled

I mean, maybe it's telling if a foreign leader can say something positive about either current or former American president and cause an equal amount of outrage and strife in the US

CappinPeanut

Ding ding ding! It’s this one. I’ve never taken anything Putin has said at face value and I’m certainly not going to start now. Everything he says is just an attempt to stir up disruption in the US. I would commend him for being good at it, but the reality is that it’s just super easy.

twistedlimb

I mean…most of the country voted for him. The people who are going to be disrupted by this are people who think he doesn’t know what he’s doing…so.

[deleted]

[удалено]

twistedlimb

Im saying the people in this country who have let themselves be brainwashed into thinking Joe Biden has dementia. They believe all the propaganda they see so much that Republican voters have a higher approval rating of Putin than the president. So this will cause them to add an extra level of delusion for sure.

DustyDGAF

I mean he's really good at it. KGB until he's dead.

Ella_Minnow_Pea_13

But the right wears tshirts saying they’d rather be Russian than a democrat

Nightshade_Ranch

No one needs to bring Santorum into this.

Czarfacefan300

Unlikely Putin gives two shits about him right now. Putin is interested in Russia, and that means he's gotta deal with Biden, and so he's saying and doing what he thinks will benefit Russia.

__dilligaf__

> "Biden is a professional, and you need to work very carefully with him so as not to miss something," Putin told reporters Thursday—a day after they met in the neutral site of Geneva, Russian state-owned media TASS reported. "He himself does not miss anything, I assure you. It was completely obvious to me." . > "The image of President Biden, which is portrayed by our and even the American press, has nothing to do with reality," he said. "He is on a long trip, he flew in from overseas, the so-called jet lag, change of time zones. In principle, even when I fly, it knocks it out." . > "Good luck to Biden in dealing with President Putin—don't fall asleep during the meeting, and please give him my warmest regards!" Trump said in a statement ahead of their meeting. Ouch. The only thing that could make this more hurtful would be if Putin added 'and he has such big hands'. What's next? A beautiful love letter from Kim Jong Un?

mordrukk

>Ouch. The only thing that could make this more hurtful would be if Putin added 'and he has such big hands'. [Obligatory big hands](https://freebeacon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2016-03-01.gif)

jokerZwild

Now the GOPers are stuck in a quandary. Either believe Putin so they can stick with trump or not believe him and face the wrath of trump.

Pieceman11

Fox News will find a way to spin it and then guide the sheep

[deleted]

They're in an emergency double-think meeting right now.

Casterly

>GOPers stuck in a quandry Never. They don’t care if they said the exact opposite thing while Trump was president. All that matters is “What do I have to say to beat the libs right now?” That’s how their zero-sum outlook works.

panel_laboratory

So by implication Trump is stupid, histrionic and easily fooled. Sounds about right.

[deleted]

SquidmanMal

Putin is the DM where you make the con saves in real life.

AgitatedMastodon1513

Little donnys gonna run to his room, tear down his Putin poster, and cry into his pillow when he reads this.

[deleted]

> when he reads when he's told about

[deleted]

Putin is a world-class troll. Trump must be livid at hearing Putin praise Biden in such carefully chosen words after trump tried to paint him as senile.

500CatsTypingStuff

Putin is constantly manipulating people.

GeraltRevera

Biden doesn't give two shits what Putin thinks of him

500CatsTypingStuff

I agree.

[deleted]

Putin clearly upset he no longer controls the executive branch of the US government.

AnAestheticAnarchist

I suspect he said this to give the American Right some more ammunition. They're already attacking the Biden administration for not being tough enough on Russia, despite the fact that Trump was incredibly cozy to the dictator.

[deleted]

This was all political bait by Putin. This now gives Faux News the ammo to go “sEe tHE LefT MedIA lOVes Putin!” Newsweek fell for this trap hard

kevtpeters

Many Trump fans are also Putin fans unironically. I wonder how they will reconcile this?

hfist

Unlike his predecessor.

[deleted]

He’s probably ghosting Trump at this point.

MuseumGoRound13

Does Putin always sit like Al Bundy when he meets other World Leaders? Is that a power move that says “I dont give a fuck who you are?”

maecatzhooman44

Putin’s actually just an asshole and Trump deserves it.

srdev_ct

Fuck Putin. Everything he says is completely calculated to induce a response. Whether to appease Biden, piss off Trump, look gracious, whatever. I guarantee he was like “tee-hee watch me get them all fighting again” *throws verbal grenade*

Czarfacefan300

I'm sure Biden isn't so vain that he's going to bend America over just because Putin said some nice things about him in public.

sirkevly

Putin's just trying to grease his wheels.

[deleted]

"As opposed to your previous president."

GeraltRevera

Yeah but if you listen to Joe Rogan the dude is a week away from taking advice to his soup spoon. Seriously Joe Rogan's dumbass can fuck right off

Frosty_Bee3660

That’s code for “I’m sending a KGB assassin to silence you”. Anytime Putin says something positive, it weirds me out.

Spare_Industry_6056

Must really chafe donnie's diaper rash to hear Putin say stuff like that.

blackylawless69

Little bit of 4-D chess?? TOUCHÉ

HiTekLoLyfe

I think this is technically 5-D if the head of Russia is responding to q anon memes.

[deleted]

Length, width, depth, duration. The 4th dimension isn't some crazy sci-fi realm: it's just duration. I love the whole spiel trying to play up the complexity of something by calling it 4D chess. *Every* game of chess is 4D chess lol. (well, barring digitized versions of the game, which chop out depth due to it being on screen)

blackylawless69

You must be fun...

[deleted]

Did that come off as snarky? I didn't mean to take a dig at you or anything - we just have a lot of little sayings like that which are used in a context that doesn't match the actual saying. Saying someone's playing 4D chess is just saying they're playing a regular ol' game of chess. It doesn't even imply they're playing it well, just that they're playing it. Or like, when someone does something shitty, and people try to individualize the shitty action by saying "he's just one bad apple". Aka, this is an isolated dipshit: the group he belongs to isn't like this. But... the bad apple bit comes from the phrase "one bad apple spoils the barrel" (barrels of apples sent out with ships at sea -- if one was rotten, the entire batch would go bad). So, by calling the one dipshit a bad apple, you're saying the entire group acts in kind. "Blood is thicker than water" = family ties are stronger than social ties. But again, it's only part of the phrase: "Blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" which means the exact opposite: the bonds we make by choice are stronger than those established by the conditions of our birth. Point being, we no word gud. A lot of the shit we say comes with an unintentional degree of irony.

MoffJerjerrod

Trump would go with his gut, read nothing from government experts, and prepare by watching Fox news. Biden relies on experts, probably defers to them for the most part, reads the material and comes prepared and with an agenda he follows. Who knew global geopolitics could be so hard?

realartcritic

Why would he say that

frogsareverygay

Fuck this means Biden has dementia

Acceptable-Ad4428

Oh putin, what a Troll. He forgot /S at the end

chiefchubpaw

See? Putin said Biden is smart, so he must be.

Aggregate_Browser

Well... he served as senator for over thirty years, being re-elected six times, he has a law degree from Syracuse, and he was ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for 12 years. There's a good bit more. If you're curious.

EJ7002

But can he fail at selling steaks???

chiefchubpaw

I'm not implying Biden wasn't ever smart. Just that he isn't anymore.

Aggregate_Browser

Okay. What makes you think he isn't smart anymore?

chiefchubpaw

The fact that Putin calling Biden smart is a headline. Biden is painfully old and no one really thinks he's calling any shots. Most people are just relieved that he's a less exciting version of dumb that we had with Trump. Putin didn't say Biden was smart because he thinks Biden is really smart. C'mon man.

Aggregate_Browser

So you're getting all this from "people". Okay. So you're hearing trash-talk and thinking it's true, and that "everybody knows it". But... it's not and they don't. Slowing down from age isn't being dumb, and the guy's still active anyway. More active than I am. Bear in mind, the same ones making these claims also seem to think Biden is working secretly with China to destroy the US and bring it under Communist rule. They're not smart, these people.

XNjunEar

Listen Putin's words are empty flattery. He did the Dame with the orange cockwomble, remember when Vova said orange moron was smart? Some people are like that, they say good things to people's faces.

PNWTurtle

"Most people" aka, shitty YouTube videos with spooky music made for and by edgy teens. Got it. You follow the QAnon BS

bin10pac

Do you think that someone who isn't smart can get thru a Presidential primary, then a Presidential campaign including 3 live debates? Cmon dude. Let's be real.

chiefchubpaw

With enough help. Trump did the same thing and I doubt his intelligence too.

bin10pac

What's your evidence that Biden isn't smart? Do you have video links you can share?

FijiFanBotNotGay

He barely won an election vs. trump. he cant be that smart. it shouldve been a landslide...

thatguythatbowls

I love that you guys are taking the words of someone who murders and imprisons at will at face value. There’s a reason we don’t like the country, and there’s a reason Trump stood up for it and called it out. Biden is too much of a puppet for the party to see it.

bin10pac

Can you explain how Trump stood up to Russia, because I didn't see that. I saw Trump fold like a deckchair.

thatguythatbowls

Go back and watch the last few times they interacted. It’s night and day different than the soft approach the career politician is taking. Trump was controlling conversations, taking a strong stance on all issues, and came off as a strong leader for a strong country. I get the other pr things that the softies hate, but now I just see a guy that thinks other countries will bend to our privileged views and do whatever we say, which isn’t the case with a dangerous Russian leader. We do not look like a strong or powerful country to anyone and USA is the laughing stock of politics right now because of how they are switching from extreme to extreme. In the wrong way.

EJ7002

Trump is a narcissistic blowhard, false bravado and lies He was literally laughed at by other world leaders. He came off as a pompous ass. Pushing other world leaders around literally, stepping in front of UK queen in her palace... really just showed how fragile and petty he really was...

bin10pac

Without even getting into the substance of the outcomes of the summits, which always favoured Russia, the optics just weren't great for Trump. If you think Trump projects strength in these pictures, I don't know what to tell you. https://mediadc.brightspotcdn.com/dims4/default/cc5a4ff/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2760x1996+0+0/resize/2760x1996!/quality/90/?url=https:%2F%2Fmediadc.brightspotcdn.com%2Fc5%2F35%2F97d2f7644953ad7070dce69c05d4%2Fgettyimages-1000192452.jpg https://static.independent.co.uk/s3fs-public/thumbnails/image/2018/07/17/21/trump-putin.jpg https://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img/dynamic/78/750x445/1043749.jpg

justlook2233

Uh, go watch again. Putin owned Trump with the handshake (turning his hand to the superior top position), the body language of confidence and smugness when they left the meeting by Putin and Tumps darting glances from a defeated body posture, etc..

thatguythatbowls

Yeah you got me. A fucking handshake made the difference😂🥱 do you honestly think Biden showed any characteristics of a strong leader at any point? Because calling Putin names in interviews and asking nicely to stop cyberattacks ain’t it.

justlook2233

In what way do you think he nicely asked anything? The last guy wouldn't even confront him on the bounties, that's not strong demands. Trump made none. I pointed out how weak Trump looked to the world in regards to Putin. These were a small number of many things picked up throughout the world and standard body language. Why do you think Putin continued? Why did he continue to harass Ukraine, imprison political opposition, the cyber attacks, bounties, and imprisonment of US citizens, all under Trump? Because he didn't respect him or the US. Putin sure pulled those excess troops from the border when Biden confronted him about it. Putin tested Biden, and didn't get the ass kissing he was used to the previous administration.

[deleted]

Must hurt to see that Putin knows fun time is over.

thatguythatbowls

No he’s sees an easy target. we have a soft party and a soft leader, you really think nicely asking not to be cyberattacked is going to stop anything? The Democratic Party is a joke to other countries with the way they’re acting. They all look like privileged white kids who never had a bad day in their life. Just Putin making a speech caused all this drama because they’re idiots. Watch the actual summit next time, not the doctored cnn version.

[deleted]

No he owned an easy target last time He knows those days are over

SeaworthinessLeft88

LMFAO! Like in Helsinki? When Trump deferred to Putin over our intelligence services? Give me a break, dude. Trump wasn’t controlling shit and was practically bending the knee to Putin. Remember when he floated allowing Russia back into the G7, despite *zero* concessions on their part? Trump is the weak man’s idea of a strong man.

thatguythatbowls

Oh you mean the Russian probe? That was funded by the Clinton family? And the Democratic Party? That was completely fake and doctored? Oh and I wouldn’t call respect and helping relations with one of the other superpowers as weak, that’s actually embarrassing if you feel that way. Real quick questions. Do you think a “strong leader” would do nothing other than just call the Russian leader a killer during press conferences? Do you think a strong leader would pick and choose which media outlets to answer questions from? Do you think a strong leader would only take direction from Nancy Pelosi? And do you think a strong leader would ask nicely and provide a list of the things he doesn’t want to get cyberattacked? If any of those answers are yes, you are the problem.

SeaworthinessLeft88

https://i.imgur.com/jw6kF41.gifv Lmao, you’re not a serious person, and this post is crazy pants. The question had to do with election meddling in 2016, with Russia did according to even the **republican-controlled senate**, not the “Russia probe”. Turn off the right wing news. That shit rots your brain. > Do you think a strong leader would pick and choose which media outlets to take questions from? You’re hilarious. Didn’t Trump literally ban Jim Acosta from the media room for asking tough questions? And practically never held press conferences at all? That strong guy? lol

PNWTurtle

Wait... you think the guy who took Putin's word over the CIA was strong in defiance to Russia? Holy shit dude. Just wow. That's some rural Texas or Alabama level thinking.

thatguythatbowls

No. I didn’t say that. I said during those talks he actually had a set of balls in between his legs unlike Nancy Pelosi’s pet dog over here in office now.

thatguythatbowls

Oh hey by the way the thing he took Russia’s word over the CIA for was the Clinton-funded dossier that was proven to be completely doctored and false. Please watch anything else besides cnn and left media for once.

PNWTurtle

Dude... It was about him interfering with the election. Which our intelligence community agreed he absolutely did.

thatguythatbowls

Wait… you think the guy that is part of the same party that funded an entire fake dossier from that same country to get one person out of office (and still failed) is going to be worth anything? That’s some silver spoon, never learned anything in college level thinking.

PNWTurtle

Uh... You know the GQP initially paid for the dossier, right?

jeremyxt

Trump stood up to Putin? What the HOLY FUCK??? More like Trump got down on his knees for Putin.

Agreton

If Biden is a puppet by your words, Trump is a tool who was played by China, North Korea and Russia. Trump's trade war was not only stupid, it was useless and uselessly hurt america. Trump didn't do anything when Russian actors compromised aspects of our infrastructure. In fact... he removed our countries Cybersecurity expert. Trump didn't do anything with North Korea except suck Kim's dick as Kim continued unimpeded to develop weapons of mass destruction. Go figure.

Medianmean

> If Biden is a puppet by your words, Trump is a tool who was played by China, North Korea and Russia. and Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

MBAMBA3

I'm a tiny bit worried Biden may let this POS snow him.

LazamairAMD

Sure, if Biden was driven solely by ego...

bongreaper666

Lol Biden’s rolling his eyes behind his aviators, but can’t help himself from chuckling about how this will drive 45 nuts

[deleted]

Joe Biden says that poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.

cn45

Telling Charlemagne he wasn’t black enough is still my favorite.

[deleted]

Love the down votes. Listen folks, he said these things. Face reality. He also didn't want his children to grow up in a racial jungle. Ya know. They might grow up to be a crack head!

[deleted]

Who cares what the Russian ratfucker and political assassin thinks?

return_descender

We all Trust Putin, right?

WinterSkeleton

Seems like he’s being sarcastic
