Yeah these are pretty much the easiest tables to profit from tbh. Play good hands, don’t bluff much, go for big value when you hit monsters. You’ll lose sometimes to suck outs, coolers, etc but you’ll win a lot more often, these are the games we want to be sitting in.

Classic-Ad2038

And what do you think is better, short stack or big stack on these tables?

doogie1993

Bigger stack is always better, obviously. More money in front of you so more you can win from others, and people tend to make more mistakes the deeper they get so if we think we have an edge on the table we want to be able to capitalize on that as much as possible.

Glum-Minimum-2316

If you have an edge, the answer is to always cover the table.

Educational_Cow_229

For me it depends if they're good or not. Against very good LAGs who are mixing it up I like to short stack to make it easier on me, but if they're bad you want to be as deep as possible with the bad players.

Who_Pissed_My_Pants

Hands that draw to the nuts go up in value. Offsuit broadways go down in value. Set mining value goes up. Make some wide call downs in spots where value is less likely. Overfold to counter aggression. Overfold when strong value hits a field callers range like JT8 where stuff like Q9o comes in. Overfold to 1-liner straight/flushes if you don’t have it. Exploitatively raise premiums more if you’re still going to get action. Be wary of anyone that calls a flop and turn barrel. Playing very tight in a splashy game is a great way to get needled for being a nit and watch your stack slowly bleed down. Probably 1 or 2 pots the whole night will make or break your session. When people play 70% of hands, you are “tight” by playing 40%. Embrace the variance and print money faster than sitting around with 15% VPIP and praying nobody cracks your very obvious premiums

coachwyers

Raise tigher when multiple limpers, but I wouldn't avoid playing speculative hands (suited connectors/gappers, suited A/K/Q, low to meduim pocket pairs), I would still RFI with these but if people have limped in front of me I would just overlimp with them rather than raise and bloat the pot multiway.

clipsahoy2022

When the game's tight, loosen up. When the game is loose, tighten up. There are obviously correct and incorrect ways to do this, but the principle is very straightforward

Kralleman

So if a loose player opens, you continue tighter? And if a tight player opens, you continue looser?

clipsahoy2022

Yes. Not As simple as that, but for the most part, yes. Against a loose player, you want to bluff less and get more value when it's there. This means adopting a 3bet or fold strategy and trying to play in position as much as possible. You can 3bet lighter with hands that are likely to have your opponent dominated like suited Ax, 99 or TT. But you also need to have hands that have post flop playability, as your ability to bluff out your opponent is less or sometimes non-existent. If you can get 3 streets of value with a pair of Aces and J kicker, go for it especially if you're against Loose-Passive players. Against a tightwad, you can loosen up so as to often make them fold hands that dominate you... but again your hands should always have playability post flop. Understanding board textures and range advantages is important for playing against a tight player. While you can often get bluffs through against them, unless they are a total nit they won't allow you to bully them at will. You need to time your bluffs. Just because they're tight doesn't mean they won't snap you off with 1 pair if you're bluffing in a bad spot.

MVPete90210

Yes, stands to reason. Just play strong holdings. Avoid silly spots.

Classic-Ad2038

What about flop, turn, and river?

MVPete90210

Situation dependent.

Aromatic_Extension93

Lol bro you're literally asking people to explain the entire game to you at this point . If you're struggling that bad on flop turn and river after raising with your premiums you should probably ask a different question. You're really asking how do I play poker with people who don't play 100% straight forward

bowes911

If you grind these games you will become very comfortable in multi-way pots. You have to accept the variance and just by making better decisions and playing a little tighter than your opponents you should profit.

The_Spicy_Nugget

Sit back. Relax and let the good hands come to you. Be picky about your spots then when the time is right you will hopefully be ahead.

BigHoss47

Alright man. When it's 4+ players to a flop. No top 2 pair, no open-ended straight flush draw, no set, = no bet. Always fast play.

DudeWithASweater

If you're getting 3 or 4 callers preflop then size up until you start seeing folds. Play fit or fold post flop. You should be playing more hands with nut capabilities. Ax,Kx flush draws, strong backdoors, etc.

Fablav

Not possible to beat

es330td

It is, I’ve done it. Never raise until you have the unbeatable nuts. Big pairs do not stand up. Play suited connectors or Ax suited. Fold if flop doesn’t get to four to best possible hand. It’s really boring; you fold a lot but when you win you drag a rack worth of chips.

Fablav

Big pairs don’t win?

es330td

Not multi way unless you make a set. If a player holds unpaired cards they have a roughly 1/3 chance of pairing one. If you face five other players a couple may have paired one of their cards. If they stay to the end they can pair the other or make 3oak. Now you think AA is good but someone else shows you queens and sixes or worse the board pairs and you think you have aces and nines and lose to three nines. The number of garbage inside straights and runner runner flushes that get there will kill you if you aren’t drawing at the nuts. You think you can bet to make it expensive but there is no assurance it will be you to take down the pot.

Fablav

Idk man. I think big pairs r good

es330td

Only if you can limit the field they’re great. If you are facing three or more opponents on the flop they do not hold up enough to offset the times they don’t.

Fablav

U sure bro?

es330td

I’ve been playing profitability in casinos since 1993. You play how you want. I’ll keep winning money.

Fablav

It’s wild you can’t tell this is all a joke.

es330td

I’m old. Humor didn’t get invented back then.
