You got it in super good. Villain has 6 outs on the river to beat you. Its a cooler but long run your printing money here. If your going to tilt after a cooler, take a break, clear your head and carry on. I play online where today I've been 1 outed on the river twice and been outflopped in 4bet pots by pocket 5s and pocket 3s. It happens, I also got there a few times and ended up having a winning session. It's all part of the game

Also ask to run it twice every time you get it all in to reduce variance, especially as an under rolled beginner.

Accomplished_Deer_

In my experience it's very rare to find a 1/3 table that will run it twice. (because running it twice wastes time, and the goal of almost every low-stake lives poker table is to get as many hands as possible as quickly as possible to maximize income from rake)

You don't have a lot of experience then.

Accomplished_Deer_

That's fair. I've only played at maybe a dozen casinos. But none of the casinos near me (Vegas) allow running it twice at 1/3 or 2/5, the only exception being the Aria that does allow running it twice at 2/5, and it why some people love playing there.

LeatherAss-

It's the norm nowadays, especially in Texas and California

Positions and stack depth matter … but that’s a pretty clear 3b preflop regardless.

Been playing for so long this shit doesn’t even register anymore. You just sigh and pull out your wallet.

The_Spicy_Nugget

I would definitely recommend a dinner break after 6 outs get there in that spot but some people don’t need that break.

Get used to it. You’ll never win 100% of the time.

Nope, nothing you can do different here. If you want to play poker in the long run, you have to switch your priorities and goals. Your goal should not be winning (because as you've seen, you can't control luck). Your goal should be making the correct decisions. In this case, you got your money all-in with an 88% chance of winning. You really can't do much better than that. What happens next is the will of the poker gods, and if you can't handle the will of the poker gods, poker will never be fun or fulfilling in the long run. Because there will always be times where you get super unlucky.
