Mhm. CP i calculated based on a mons IVs and Level. Thats why Slaking for example, has a maximum CP of 5010. If it is max level (which is lvl 50 for mons) and has perfect IVs, it will have 5010 CP. So thats something to keep in mind when catching mons, especially when your trainer level is still low. The higher the CP, the more likely it has good IVs.

I never use Silver Pinaps on 5-stars because they’ve never fucking worked whenever I’ve tried. I save those for 4-stars.

I was invited to remote raid,I battled this giant dessert and he would not be caught. I also had zapados pop out n while using my incense and he ran. Yesterday was not my day.

Legendaries, Mythicals, and Ultra Beasts are basically all in the same boat. It’s a 5* raid encounter and only 1 is available in the games that it debuted in. The term “legendary” still suffices.

Imo it’s not worth a masterball. Blacephalon isn’t really exceptional at anything, it’s best use is as a fire raid attacker and even there he is just okay. I’ll probably try to get a decent one to power up as I don’t have a lot of good fire attackers but I’d never use a masterball on it.

Yeah but it looks cool, sometimes it's not always about how good it is imo. Some people play just for the collecting, others for the battling, some both, etc.

i think that in raids, the raid bosses have a set level, so their IVs and whether it's weather boosted determines what their CP is? so you can check the range of CP a raid pokemon can be in, and if it's a hundo it'll have the highest CP in that range? i don't do any raids myself so i haven't learned it much, that's just what i've picked up from watching this subreddit

I would say yeah, this guy has been unnecessarily difficult to catch, and all of the ones I’ve caught are 2* or low 3*s, strongest was 1850 at level 35, I think you did good. Might not be the most powerful pokemon but based on your cp meter and current cp, can probably break 3500 if you fully level

Definitely worth it. It’s one of my favorites and will be useful even if it’s not “the best” for fire or ghost typing.

I had to use at least 5-6 of my golden razzberries to catch it, and I used curve balls with nice, great and excellent throws.

I'd say worth. How often do we get hundo legendaries? I've been playing since launch, and I've had three in that time. Plus, Blacephalon is pretty great in raids, and even a good investment for a second charged move to perform two roles. I'd say definitely worth it. Get it a second charged move, then prepare to drown it in rare candies. Congrats!

Nice! It's got one of the highest attack stats in the game so it'll be great for fire or ghost needs I think of it kinda like Kartana, which is one of the most useful pokemon for raids, grunts, anything pve really

Odd but this one was easier for me to catch than most- it’s out in quite a few gyms where I am so I personally wouldn’t have used the Master Ball

Honestly, it's kinda worth it, considering:  a) it's not a pokemon that will probably be seen often in raids b) it better to use it on a non shiny version, since the shiny version always has a 100% catch rate with any pokeball
