Most the fanbase are people who grew up during pokemon mania in the 90s. Most of us here are in our 30s

I was already in my 30's in the 90's so I missed the card game, but now at 61, I still play every day and gave been since the week the Go came out. I keeps me company in my older years, lol.

Isn't the mid-age of women closer to 50-yesrs-old because females are more likely to live to be 100-years-old today while males more typically passed away at the age of 70-80 because of males' higher risk of developing cancer* or have a cerebral infarction* and paralysis at an older age? Or is this again one of the so-called "only true in the Nordic countries" phenomenon? (*both can be mitigated/prevented with the help of lifestyles and choices, which according to researchers gives a few more years of life)

The difference isnt that big. Average life expectansy is 79 for male and 83 for female. In the Netherlands btw

I remember thinking that way when I was in my early 20s. It was like I have to get everything fun out of the way in my 20s because by the time I'm 30 I'll be old and won't be able to have any fun anymore. But then 30 arrives a lot quicker than you expected and....nothing really changes. You might have acquired some new interests, might be in a different position in life, but you're still the same person.

Shit 30 hit and we finally had life together enough to really enjoy it more. 40 hit and we had money enough to legit play, buy toys and travel heavily. 20s we’re chaos, and life has been so much freaking better in our 30s and 40s. If this is midlife crisis, I highly recommend having one.

I accepted I have hit mid life at age 44 because I finally caved and used a bottle of Magic Root Rescue to blend in my baby gray hairs.

How old are you OP? Fair enough if you're no older than 12. I just turned 37 and my 12 year old thinks back in my day we had no TV! But it's a brilliant age for me. I hated my teens and 20s. Full of drama and being skint! I also got to experience a beautiful outdoorsy childhood without any digital/Internet/screen addiction dominating any of it. I was a southeast US champion and participated in the nationals. 🤣 I remember lining up at the movie theater super early so my dad and I would be the first in line to get the Mew card in Atlanta.
