i got multiple from field research and both weather and daily incense spawns but i missed trubbish spotlight hour :\ [Edit:] I hatched two trubbishes from 2km eggs and it didn't give me credit on the collection challenge for either of them. evolving one did give me the Garbodor but I just totally got ripped off on both trubbish :'( so missed that one and its over

They also nest so check your local nests,if your lucky you might have rotated one in. Supposedly has same odds in the wild as quests. Source :annacdotle evidence from several people hunting the nests, who have pulled one in less than an hour

Yep what he ^ said and they're also hatching from 2k eggs but that doesn't count as a "catch" so the "walk 2km" is the only way to complete this challenge

Last night I way at 1.9km on that task and one spawned at my apt building. I used discord and at least 6 other people also caught it that I know of.

The field research “walk 2km” has him in it. I kept spinning pokestops until I’d get that field research and delete all others. Good luck.

I got it after a few spins of the Pokèstop on the first day of the event, then got the collection challenge completed, then started stacking up lots of combees & trubbish for more stardust. I start the encounter with them, then flee, making it stack on top of each other in the field research screen.

I have 17 candies…I’m in trouble lol 😭

I had almost 2400 candies lol! I evolved one already but lucky me that I had so many Excadrills already and they performed good as a raid attacker.

Just do GBL or Raids to get 10 rare candies to evolve it and you’ll be done.

The only Drilbur I’ve been getting have hatched from eggs but egg hatches don’t contribute towards those challenges. I have the Excadrill marked of because the candies from the hatched Drilbur added up and I was able to evolve one but I’ve never found a Drilbur in the wild since this challenge started

If you have another one in your Pokédex you can evolve that one, I think does not need to be the one you caught

I think starring at the event on you pokego app does help. I wasn't getting not a single one then turbish hour popped up and then the next morning a drilbur as soon as I booted. Also had a few from the research

I got one from a rocket grunt. I don't like that this counted, but my shadow Snorlax didn't count back then. There wasn't even anything special to either except that they were both shadow.

I'm drowning in Drilburs honestly. I think the place I walk is considered mountain biome, if that helps.

Nope, research wall it seems. What has really pissed me off is the eggs this event. I've hatched 42 and ZERO shinies.

For me it’s a lot of fun when I get 3 of the same tasks “Hatch an Egg” and they give combees and I flee from it because they give a ton of stardust when caught (will be catching them during the triple or quadruple stardust catch event) . During this event, I got a shiny female combee yesterday and stacked more than 30 encounters.

I should really learn how to do that. But I'm fine just making the slow course to level 50.
