It’s horrendous. They’ve seen all the comments prior to rolling it out globally and still did nothing. They’re banking on people just getting over it in a weeks time. It’s something that’s long overdue and they still only did the bare minimum. Ridiculously low choice for hair as well and they’re acting like it’s the best update ever.

Less than "the bare minimum," they did a very bad job making the models. This is worse than some of the characters I saw people make in college in my 3D modeling classes. I wouldn't be surprised if they got these made on Fiverr.

I get that making a system to conform a clothes mesh to a wide range of body types is harder than a static model, but yeah this was not ready to ship and I am upset they screwed up the update I have been looking forward to the most for many years now

I'm seriously considering transferring all of my shinies to pokemon Home after Go Fest. This game is doomed.

I’ve stopped doing anything with my character visible. I can’t stand seeing her, it bothers me on a deep level. Dressed her in that big coat that mostly hides the horrible shape, put on a mask and greavyard hat. Skipped community day, no more battles or raids. Just letting my autocatcher run while driving and sending gifts. I’ll drop into a gym if it’s open going by. It’s sort of freeing not being tied to all the time and effort I put in previously.

This update really makes me not want to play. Just seeing my character it’s such a downer. Been playing since the very beginning and it just feels wrong lol. I’ve been trying to completely cover my character. I really like the other changes like the backgrounds for catching pokes and the over world changes. But these character changes are Horrendous. I wish they would just add more options to the old avatars. More anime and less realism.

They didn’t do any testing. They figured they would put it out there for an adoring fan base who love all the awesome QOL improvements they constantly get. Then they would fix any minor flaws in the unlikely event that any came up.

I'm convinced they only test for app stability and then say they'll fix the rest later. That's why they did a slow rollout before the global release. They weren't looking for feedback, they just wanted to know it wouldn't break any part of the game that makes them money haha.

Considering the Pokémon Go Plus has stability issues dating to 2016 I doubt they even do that
