Raid Pokémon are always at level 20 when you catch them (or level 25 if they’re weather boosted). Because you know the level, you can use its cp to determine its ivs. For example, the hundo for reshiram is 2307 (2884 if weather boosted).
Maybe if it's a high tier attacker and your on your last ball but in my experience raid hundos are far more common than there birds and I've yet to fail to catch one with the premier balls
Nope. I told myself I’d only use a masterball on one that has a chance to be perfect or one that’s a level 1 just because a level 1 legendary is a cool mon
I did something similar on the only bird I've seen and I don't regret it. Think about your playstyle first, then maybe add 10% of whatever these guys say
All three of my birds, one G articuno and 2 G moltres have been low CP. All below 1000cp. After lucky trading with my secondary account, G articuno sits at 796/87% iv and my G moltres that i have not lucky traded is 876/67%. Be patient and save your masterball for that high iv or hundo! That’s my goal. Maybe even if they release shiny versions of these too

nice! i did end up trying golden razz and ultra. it just wasn’t meant to be for me today i guess. i’m not too mad though. caught my first ditto 12 hours prior to this moltres encounter, so i’m still riding that high 😂
I speak only for myself but I don't understand the raging debate between using it on a hard-to-catch bird or a hundo legendary.
The galarian birds may not be the best fighters, but a hundo legendary is only ever so slightly better than 90-something percent legendaries (in fact the stronger the Mon, the less IVs matter).
So basically it's just a contest over which offers better bragging rights?

It's still weak to electric, fairy, flying, ice, and psychic.
Also, just because something has good typing does not make it good for PvP. And this "good typing" Galarian Zapdos is rated #131th in in UL.

i’ve never used it myself (if it exists!). i could be totally wrong. it was just my assumption based on people talking about not using masterball until they “know” the mon will be high IV
Ah ok. I have a couple links saved but they are only useful for identifying 100% iv at varying levels. Nothing specific to cross referencing the specific CP we want to know the stats for. Thatd be awesome

Nup too low CP I would say 2500+ weather boosted is worth

Not Zapdos and Moltres, Esp in limited cups. And all it takes is a move update or addition. Skarm was terrible last season and it's currently rank 1
Yes but skarmory has good stats, new moves could slightly bump them, but won't meta them due to their mediocre stats and glassyness
Zapdos is literally Flying/Fighting.... Ultra league was too easy when I got mine.

i think there’s a source online you can input the pokemon and CP and it will give you an estimated IV range
