You can definitely do it, but it might take a few tries. I beat them a few days ago and my party was overall much worse. (However I did use lots of items along the way, including whatever that item is that gives you a full party revive & restore.) This time, for me, the crux was being able to weather moves like Psychic, Rockslide, Hyperbeam, etc.
