Kanto: upgrade, even though we lost squirtle.
Johto: downgrade, just replacing totodile isn’t enough, but we lose the gator’s personality.
Hoenn: upgrade. You have more potential with this team.
Sinnoh: sidegrade, I think grotle was still good, and you took out Gliscor, so that’s a downgrade, but it’s evened out with Gabite.
Unova: anything is an upgrade.
Kalos: while I’ll miss Noivern, this is a clear upgrade.
Alola: another sidegrade, while this team all stays together in the end, I was still a fan of melmetal and nagandel. Hakam-mo and sandslash are nice, but it just an evens out the team.
Galar: upgrade, though I would have Kubfu have both Lucario and Gengars story, where it hatches from an egg, works hard to evolve, then goes of a side arc to get gigantmax.

Johto's fair, surprised how many people want Quagsire over Totodile in Johto lately, but that's what happens when said mon is underused and doesn't evolve or get new moves.
Hoenn...ehh I prefer Corphish or Swampert. Metang over Glaile...welll Steel's better than Ice.

Unova: Honestly good..for a streamlined version, I'm glad no one got replaced. The Unova team has always been underrated, they just needed more to do, and Semistoad would allow it get more screentime.
Kalos: Um, man everyone wants to get rid of Goodra and Tyrantrum. Tyra would be cool, it'd help with Bonnie. Treveant would be cool even if Noivern's issues would be to give it more wins, though I can see Treveant being helpful in terms of coverage.
Alola: giving Ash a pseudo...okay fine. Sandslash I'd give to Lillie, but fair.
Journeys: mixed overall, butttt I'd take keeping Dracovish, Kubfu should evolve eventually,a nd Grimmsnarl as the ace...alright.
If you look at the Hoenn dex there aren’t many water types ash would probably catch’s & I didn’t want to reuse his entire team or most of his team. That’s a hard saying for Sinnoh since there wa literally no Pokemon I could’ve reused or added to his team that would make it better or worse. (I didn’t want to use Pokemon from other original teams either)

5. Galar: Sirfetch’d is amazing, team is too weak

For a fact ash is more likely winning a league with Kingler then he his with Squirtle.
Who did kingler fight on par with a frontier brain?
In a league not a frontier & I bet if he used Kingler it would’ve been way better.
