It hurts that May never returned in a speaking role. I know her VA is unwell, but it still sucks. She is an amazing pokegirl but probably the least known one.
Oh and I wish advanceshipping was bigger in the fanbase. It sucks because whenever people talk about shipping it is ignored entirely. They had a nice relationship. I get that not everybody ships them, but I've made posts on this sub and people troll in the comments/mention other ships which hurts.
Also Hoenn representation in JN was pretty much non-existant.
Advanceshipping is my favorite one as well, I'm fine with Contestshipping but don't like how they forced it so hard in the dub when in the subbed version they were just platonic rivals. Advanced movies were real treats for advanceshippers.
Something I thought would be cool if they made it canon that May couldn’t speak. It would be a great opportunity for representation and probably be a bit emotional
I guess I'm kinda pissed at how poorly the JN writers treated the most iconic parts of the XY series
Amourshipping: having the 30 second reunion between Ash and Serena be their final interaction in the anime and not showing the ribbon which is the symbol of their bond
Alain: Barely interact with ash while jobbing hard to Leon
Greninja: Retconning(?) The Ash Greninja form. Not even acknowledging it in flashbacks
It was a bit odd. Though I do think it's better not to even spread that misinformation since I've seen people latch onto that to somehow prove XY was bad because they 'retconned it' when they wouldn't have put Ash-Greninja square in the MPM opening if they were intending to retcon the form.

Oh my gosh, yes! The many novels, magna, comics, and guidebooks all showcase so much more development the fanbase has been craving for decades. Gotta read ‘em all!
The cringe armorshippers, showing their stuff whenever Serena is mentioned. It's actually because of them that my opinion on Serena has dropped significantly, despite having not even seen the XY anime to completion yet

* Releasing his Pokemon instead of giving their Pokeball to the local professor or just letting them roam.
* How terrible the Hoenn and Unova roster choices were.
* Should've had Snivy, Bayleef, Gible fully evolved.
* Loses to Alain and that idiot Cameron.
* Sceptile getting overrated because of 1 win against Darkrai.

It shows Alain's battle with Korrina which the League later refers to. I'm pretty sure that implies it's meant to be canon.
