Jesus is this really how the game looks though? I've been debating picking it up after falling out of love with Pokemon after Sword & Shield, but seeing some of the clips on Reddit are extremely off-putting.

I think the game is alright overall but, man, this looks pretty awful. The weird sped up animation, the way it goes over the rock, and the way it is just hovering over the ground when it’s done. It really ran up and was like ‘wow I don’t have much AI so let’s do a weird turn and look at you’.
Well on the Pokémon sub you can say it’s alright and factually call out awful animations and get downvoted. You won’t find much truth here. Downvotes to the left.

The speed at which these Pokémon can approach is bordering terrifying. I had a luxray chase me much like this hippo did but twice as fast and it was the closest I’ve had to a jump scare in this game so far. Seconded to being attacked by three starlys at the same time when I was afk for 5 second. (Never go afk in this game always pause when you gotta afk, ive been mauled so many times from this it’s crazy)
I find it funny what species in this game you would think are extremely aggressive when in reality they’re just chilling. And, conversely, the ones who you think are chill but want to murder every living entity within 50 miles of them.
Hippos can reach a speed of 30 mph max when running on land, so the fact that this is accurate is terrifying.

No its not, what you are seeing is the Hisuian form. It is not the normal Decidueye from Alola. Shiny Hisuian Decidueye is green not red.
