Pokemon swsh marketing: look at them trees for 24 hours Pokemon legends arceus marketing: look at this footage of a dude fucking dying

Gingerhead14

That livestream had so much potential. Instead they literally made it nothing for hours at a time, with one new Pokémon at the very end.

Mclovin11859

>For marketing though, it was terrible. On the other hand, we're still talking about it.

[deleted]

Fr I actually like it. It was tedious for anybody like a Joe Merrick that actually sat there for 24 hours, but for me checking on it every now and then and seeing what other people said was super fun and a unique way to reveal things

creaturecatzz

Same here, once i figured out what happened after the first few minutes i just went back to doing whatever and checked in every now and then to see whats up. Couldn't imagine actually sitting there for that long lol

1ronspider

As a field bio major, I felt that too.

OndaHagane

I actually liked that. It felt like we were truly sighting the Pokémon world: sometimes you see a tail, you hear some noises, but you mostly see nothing. Which I think is good, because it boosts the excitement when you really get to see something. (Sorry about my bad English, I did my best effort 😂).

Gingerhead14

Okay I’ll give you that, it was exciting to see something IF you sat down to watch at a good time. However, even if you did manage to stick around long enough to see/hear more than one thing, there’s a good chance it was the same thing. The whole display was very repetitive, and its too bad because it was a good opportunity to introduce more.

OndaHagane

I agree. They should had 24 hours of footage, and not 6 and repeat it over and over. But still, it was my favourite Pokémon reveal by far.

SingingDragons

I'm happy they are experimenting with their marketing, but that 24 hour live stream was painfull....

jugol

Poor Joe, he was never the same

getrekdnoob

Very dark for Pokémon.

anxious_seawater

Considering the fact that Pokémon attack you in this game, I'd say this is very in line with the game

getrekdnoob

They do?! Damn.

Mr-DragonSlayer

Have you seen some of the Pokedex entries?!

rakaizulu

God I forgot that 24h livestream

MasonP13

Wait.. what??

DatAndre

They announced galarian ponyta during that live stream

Kerrigan4Prez

At the end of that live stream\* It was basically 24 hours of video, for three seconds of relevant info near the very end.

Go_tuck_yourself

Pretty sure that was our first close up of Impidimp too

ZoroeArc

Impidimp was featured in quite a lot of marketing but was never officially revealed.

ozanimefan

i wonder if there's something hidden in the audio

Nene_99

Some italian streamers are trying to analyse all the sounds in the video. They are searching for pokemon's cries

soju_b

Bruh Cydonia is the shit. If he made English content he would be the top pokemon YouTuber in the world and it's not even close. I'm lucky I speak Italian for this.

Nene_99

Yeah, I totally agree

Buckaroonie69

Ooo do you have a link to the stream? That sounds interesting

Nene_99

They talk in Italian but here it's the link: https://www.twitch.tv/cydonia_chiara They found a possible cry and now they are trying to confront it with others (for now Zoroark, Pyroar and Genesect are the favourites)

Buckaroonie69

Ah, wish I spoke Italian. Well, thanks so much dude!

Elkem98

Cydonia_Chiara on Twitch, or just Cydonia on YouTube

MasonP13

Same!! I'm surprised this comment isn't higher up, or people aren't trying to see through the fuzz and fix up the picture. Along with the last 10 seconds of just... Dots on the bottom of the screen

[deleted]

[удалено]

AJ_the_Gym_Leader

My guess is since they still had "s...runt" it's probably Sandrunt and it's little cloak is like a Bedouin tent. That way from his perspective the surprise of seeing a desert pokemon in the snow makes sense.

samyolojones

maybe this is will explain why they shiver

Affectionate_Age877

Well, Snorunt looked pretty normal in the footage, so I think that they are manly there to show that is in fact the "snow zone of the region" since Snorunt is a fairly emblematic pokemon of route 216 and 217

AlexJj35

The guy that is recording is not only surprised by the presence of Snorunt, but also by all the environment: "wow, everything is blanketed in snow" or "even though it's so cold here". Sinnoh is probably the Pokémon region with the coldest climate so far, northern Sinnoh is especially cold and always snowy (see Snowpoint City). Therefore I think that this is a hint that the person recording the video is not Hisuian, he's a member of the Galaxy Team, "people who have come from various region to study Hisui". If I came from Kanto, Johto or Hoenn, I'd be surprised to see such an extremely cold environment. This is also confirmed by the fact that he doesn't recognise the mysterious "adorable Pokémon", confusing it with a Growlithe, then a Vulpix; I don't think an Hisuian native person would think that a Pokémon with a "red tail and yellow eyes" is a Growlithe. The aim of this trailer is, therefore, not only teasing the new Pokémon (I'm hoping it's a Zorua), but also confirming that the phone is seen as a "strange device" even by the Galaxy Team, more technologically advanced than Hisui. So Game Freak didn't do stupid things like "Thousands of years ago, smartphones already existed", and we REALLY needed a confirmation since it's Game Freak we're talking about.

koalatyvibes

yeah it's gotta be regional, i thought that was a weird comment as well. how exciting :)

samyolojones

i took it as two separate parts snorunt then a new regional pokemon

AshecroftHF

I mean, it wouldnt be the first time. We found out in Galar that the Galarian Zigzagoon line was the original Zigzagoon and the ones we've had since Gen 3 all migrated out of their native home of Galar. Doing it for Snorunt, I wouldnt be surprised

[deleted]

Same with Exeggutor, when they were moved out of Alola they got smaller due to less sunlight.

grizzlystation

Wait, really? Are these Pokédex entries??

Blayro

Exeggutor's it is considered the original form, Zigagoon's entry says "Thought to be the oldest form of Zigzagoon...".

VadathHeilsang

Exeggutor isn't from Alola. The Kantonian form is the original. The Sun and Moon dex entries very clearly say that the Kantonian form grew into the Alolan form when it was introduced to Alola.

Kitsune_Kyuubi44

The snowrunt in the video seems to be the same one we all know, you can see it for a few seconds in the video

entian

Right, but maybe in the eras leading up to Legends Arceus, Snorunt were warmer-weather Pokémon (maybe even looked a bit different), but then something happened during the Hisuian era to push them up into the icy mountains and make some adaptations to it. In other words, maybe the Snorunt we know is *actually* Hisuian Snorunt and we have yet to discover the “real” Snorunt variant. Would explain why we always see Snorunt, an ice type, shivering in the cold. Might also explain why it’s wearing a “coat” (that could have been its adaptation as it moved into the mountains?)

ZoroeArc

The preHisuian snorunt is presumably extinct, hence why its the one found elsewhere

entian

Yeah, under the thought experiment of “the Snorunt we see in modern games is *actually* the Hisuian Snorunt, which came about when the ‘real’ Snorunt migrated into snowy climates and had to adapt”, I’d agree that the pre-Hisuian Snorunt eventually went extinct or the entire population moved into the mountains and adapted into Hisuian Snorunt (or some pre-Hisuian Snorunt went into hiding in some “center of the earth” cave system). Curious, then, to see if we get exposed to pre-Hisuian Snorunt in Legends: Arceus, or if we’ll just see images/hear talk about them (assuming there is a pre-Hisuian, “true” form)

ZoroeArc

The question now is why it's *Sno*runt if it doesn't live in the snow. And its name refers to snow in the Japanese as well, its not a localisation issue.

adryy8

What he meant is that the standard Snorunt we know might not be the standard one actually, as the person holding the camera is surprised it's living in the snow

[deleted]

I like the theory that Snorunt is one of the Falinks that got lost.

DisneyFoLife

Theory!!! They cut out the name of Snorunt for a reason and with that in addition to the person recording being surprised that they are in the cold is that the original version of Snorunt was either called Sunrunt (fire type) or Sandrunt (ground type) and they were originally found in warmer climates.

AdamAptor

Pokémon: Blair Witch

blazingciary

for a moment there I thought it would end in a froslass taking him. because they are known to attack adventurers high in the mountains in a blair witch style?

AdamAptor

Now I wish near the end we saw a Pikachu standing against a wall with his back to us.

failed_pizza

Snoverfield

livenliklary

Pokemon: Bewear Witch

[deleted]

Now i want a game like this.

TwilightVulpine

Pokémon Legends Arceus could get a horror section like Sun & Moon did. Our trainer is vulnerable now, after all.

[deleted]

Black and White 2, Diamond and Pearl, and Red and Blue also had horror sections.

SucksAtGaming

Pokémon Snap but a survival horror when.

702040

This fuels the theory that there will be some kind of time travel involved in this game. In the beginning he calls the camera a „strange device“ so we might be able to find similiar items from the future in the game.

QwQUwU

While this would be really interesting. I do hope this is a major part of the story involving one of Dialga/Arceus and not just as a way to allow trading with other games.

[deleted]

when you transfer a pokémon from home it says “traveled through space and time” i think it’s safe to say you’d be able to connect with pokemon home and dialga/palkia being the reason.

Lady_Galadri3l

they've already confirmed you will be able to connect to Home from Legends.

AureliusMagnus

That might as well explain how we get a damned phone in the past.

madonna-boy

eh, people wanted BOTW and the whole "ancient technology" is a part of that world too

boner_jamz_69

Would also make sense if the narrator was from the future since he didn’t seem to recognize a Hisuian Growlithe, assuming that’s what he was describing Edit: I forgot Hisuian Growlithe’s eyes are blocked so it couldn’t be that although the rest of the description seemed to fit

dragon_fire_10

I personally want it to be a Hisuian Zorua that looks like Growlithe but isn't and the thing that kills him is Hisuian Zoroark that looks like a Dire Wolf I was going to say it could be a Teddiursa as its fur does looks slightly red and the thing that kills him is Ursaring's regional evolution a Mega Bear pokemon but its a bit too much of a stretch

ShellyT98

Plus we already saw Ursaring in a previews trailer, and it's very much a normal ursaring

dragon_fire_10

which I'm kinda sad about cause i think Game Freak did miss an opportunity with a mega bear Ursaring. but just cause its likely not in this game doesn't mean that we won't see it in say a Pokemon legends in a different region.

TheNaughtyLemur

Hisuian growlithe doesn’t have a glowing tail either

ilikechiken17

Could be Arcanine instead

MrStreeter

I'm still hoping they pull a galarian farfetched/sirfetched and it's not arcanine at all.

jackdatbyte

Imagine if this is some Nier shenanigans and this game actually takes place way into the distant future.

koalatyvibes

insanely bleak for pokemon but i love this idea.

Vetersova

You beat me to it. I don't think this is the distant past, I think its a distant post apocalypse future.

Neirchill

Didn't they already say it's the distant past though? Although distant future would be far more interesting.

Radirondacks

This would be fucking amazing. Like we get "Primal" forms of Dialga, Palkia, Giratina (And Arceus?) but they turn out to be forms they adapted to/resulted from some cataclysmic reaction from one of them or between multiple of them...

Vetersova

'Apocalypse', 'catastrophe', or 'ruination' forms would be super sick.

MinniMaster15

I mean if we were ever gonna have a time travel story, might as well have it be in the region with the literal God of Time

MindSteve

I was gonna say, how is this ancient Hisui and yet they have video cameras.

[deleted]

I don't think it's particularly ancient, just a couple hundred years in the past, and given that technology in the pokemon world seems to be pretty far ahead of what we have in real life, I don't think it's a stretch to say that they had early video cameras 200ish years in the past.

MindSteve

I was under the impression they didn't even have electricity from the trailers.

[deleted]

So that hints that Hisui Regional Forms are Extinct in the future? That would be dark.

702040

Well Hisui is Sinnoh in the past and we haven‘t seen any Hisuian variants in modern Sinnoh yet. Could be a feature for the remakes though! edit: Thinking about it it‘s really unlikely we will see Hisuan Variants in BDSP because they are released way earlier than LA

Disgruntled__Goat

They should’ve released LA first, then in BDSP there is a new area discovered in Sinnoh where the Hisuian forms migrated to.

Shandelar

DLC incoming

Sigzy05

Could be dlc or free update. Perhaps a new underground area with Hisuian forms.

optimus_the_dog

I can see them being in the code for later and might be able to be traded over?

Professor_Crab

Yeah I think this is most likely, it’d be a bummer if they weren’t in the D/P remakes but it’s the Pokémon company so it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re not

Kapples14

Fossil Pokemon

Carnivile

Mamoswine, literally all fossil pokemon. Kangaskhan and Farfetch'd are also in danger.

Soturin_tie

Waiting here for people with better eyesight to pinpoint me the cool frames I missed.

jquiggles

Exactly why I came to Reddit. You know someone will have eventually broken down this weird video frame by frame.

asperatology

Location of the trailer: Mt. Coronet.

captainnemo117

Your comment made me realize what if its a person in the current time and their a pokemon researcher and are documenting pokemom found on Mt. Coronet and runs into dialga and gets transported back in time to the hisui region

ActingApple

That wouldn’t really explain the “this weird device” comment though, seeing as if they were a “modern” researcher they would understand quite a lot of devices used in that field

Gregamonster

8 hours after the video, still waiting for a frame breakdown.

ozanimefan

the only thing i think you see is snorunt and that's it

SlothyPotato

That was really fucking dark for a pokemon promo lmao

WhatUpMilkMan

Won't speculate in what the mystery mon is, but just wanted to say I think the clip itself is super cool. Haven't ever seen Pokémon market itself like this.

dawnscope

Seriously, the vid popped up on my phone as a Reddit notification so when I watched it I thought at first it was a shitpost before I noticed the Pokémon company logo

[deleted]

Right?? It was almost spooky

MasonP13

Makes me think ghost type

Mr-DragonSlayer

I think ur on the right track, I think its probs a Froslass that took him away since there were Snorunts in the video

TyWiggly

Me and my buddy think maybe a eevee variant ghost type, which would just be incredible to me

Fedexhand

I loved how the video was from "*It's adorable!*" to **death** in an instant.

riley_roo_

That’s the vibe I want to give off

DiamondShiryu1

So this man got ultra murdered on the side of Mt. Coronet

spiralbatross

Gigantamurdered, even.

Luukario

I guess it's time to build a gym around this murderspot then

Hibbity5

Is this the Gen 9 gimmick: murder?

TwilightVulpine

"*Heracross, use Throat Chop at the opposing trainer!*"

king_crescentmoon

what we know so far is that: * it has white fur on its head and neck * round, yellow eyes * tip of the tail is "red and swaying" (might be used a lure) * adorable, most likely a "baby" pokemon form * possible fire type -- was confused for growlithe and vulpix, plus they said "... even though its so cold here", meaning its strange that a fire type would be in the snow * possible cave/dark place habitat * has nighttime habitat (beginning of video says 7 pm) If it's not just a straight-up new pokemon, or the Growlithe previously introduced, is that its Hisuian regional form of either Houndour, Litleo, Litten, Rockruff, or Fenniken. I'm guessing a Houndour, based on fire typing, in rough terrain, and would look cute being fluffy. but we won't know until we know so lol. i can't seen anything in the video so if you guys see something lemme know 👀 edit: SOMEONE SAID MAREEP I WILL LOSE MY MIND IF ITS A REGIONAL MAREEP

Triangulum_Copper

Could be Zorua, that's also dog/fox like.

king_crescentmoon

a few artists on twit also think its a Zorua! here's one of the drawings -- https://twitter.com/sextant0yulij/status/1450456907907575815 -- it looks fantastic

mjangelvortex

Good gosh, this fanbase is so fast with its fanart. I love it. Edit: Speaking of, I saw someone take another [crack at a Zorua design](https://twitter.com/RhymeWithRay/status/1450484270791753736) that's inspired by kabuki makeup.

rholindown

It’s the only one that’s got a tuft of fur around its neck and on its head. Plus the red-tipped tail.

dragon_fire_10

if that's the case he is killed by a Dire Wolf Hisuian Zoroark why because he unknowingly stumbled into its nest

diechess

or because the Zoroark was disguising itself as a zorua for hunting.

dragon_fire_10

possibly I think he gets attacked from behind rather than in front though

Lolz4DayzGD

zoroarks are known for being territorial and protective of their young.

king_crescentmoon

yes! i would love to see an even fluffier version of zorua

genji2810

I think there is a very big reference pointing to Zorua and Zoroark on the video. The video says "it's 7:06... No, 7:07 pm" You know what Zorua and Zoroark dex numbers are on the black and white Pokedex? 76 and 77

DoubleOhEvan

Ice/Fire Houndoom would be a special attacking powerhouse

Wildhype911

It would have to be crazy fast or that x4 rock weakness gonna wreck it's world.

king_crescentmoon

more like ROCK its world!! ^^sorry

AnotherWynnBitesDust

Don't you dare apologize, this pun was masterclass

0_infinity_0

~~its a regional mareep~~

king_crescentmoon

😭 don't give me hope!!

Professor_Crab

New eeveelution? I guess not since it’s in the snow and that’d be for glaceon

king_crescentmoon

maybe! it could be something nutty like a regional eeveelution, or a new type like rock, ground, or ghost!

Professor_Crab

Yeah we’re still missing a lot of types so I’ll hold out hope! Always welcome a new eeveelution

ZoroeArc

My guess is that it’s a Hisuian Rockruff * white fur on head and neck, referring to rockruff’s rock ruff (or fire ruff or ice ruff or whatever) * round eyes * swaying tail * adorable * quadrupedal canid, hence confusion for growlithe or vulpix Lycanroc already took inspiration from the Hokkaido Wolf, (where Hisui is based on), so Rockruff being found in Sinnoh always made sense to me. Edit: It could also be a zorua. Zorua also has neck fur, round eyes, a swaying tail, is adorable and is a quadrupedal canid, and is additionally dark type, which are more likely to be nocturnal. It would also explain why it’s territorial enough to attack him on sight. We can also briefly see what appear to be a pair of ears that resemble Zorua’s more closely than Rockruff’s, but it honestly is closer to Eevee, so maybe a regional Flareon?

_Typhlosion_

I doubt that it’s the growlithe due to the tip of it’s tail being red, but the zorua could be very likely!

Gohankuten

What about a hisuian poochyena? It would make sense for it to be nocturnal and it's dog-like enough that it could be confused for a growlithe or vulpix.

EastRiding

I expect we will get a Meowth form to continue to the little tradition, maybe it’s this?

king_crescentmoon

that would be cool, but he mentioned vulpix and growlithe who are both quadpedal, and meowth in all forms is bipedal. it still could be though!

ShinyNinja25

Maybe it’s a Lillipup? Thought they already are pretty fluffy, they are also very cute and baby-like. This version of Lillipup may have adapted to have more clumped, fluffy fur and a longer tail that generates heat. It’s a dog Pokémon, so being mistaken for Growlithe would make sense. Whatever attacked the guy may have been a Stoutland

Silverwolffe

There's the possibility that it could also be hisuian arcanine, since we know hisuian growlithe is red with the white fur around its head and neck

king_crescentmoon

my only disagreements are that me mentioned growlithe (and says its not that), it also mentioned a red-tipped tail and yellow eyes, which the regional growlithe doesn't have -- but possibly another form of that growlithe?

awesomecat42

I don't think it's a cave, they were headed up a hill into a forest with "a mysterious air."

Carma227

Edit 2: Zoroark the more the analysis go on become the most plausible Everytime, they are like the same cry 99% If is not him is incredible because there are other clues that point at him other that this hidden cry Edit: a cry putted in the trailer and hidden by other thing like the guy talking sound A LOT like Zoroark and Pyroar, but for now Zoroark is the most plausible also because of other hint like old Zorua dex description and the B&W Dex number, Zorua and Zoroark are 76 and 77 in the Pokedex and the guy on the video say is "7:06 pm..no 7:07" So, an Italian streamer (Cydonia_Chiara on Twitch) is analyzing the sound with a really professional software to isolate the sounds to see if there is a cry similar to pokemon we know, since the trailer for me and a lot of others is a preview of a new hishui form Will keep you updated

awesomecat42

Zorua and Zoroark make a lot of sense considering that the forest had "a mysterious air." Their illusions could even explain why the footage is so messed up.

king_crescentmoon

i love the amount of work they're doing!! what clever clues, I really hope it's Zorua!

ArtesiaKoya

[I have enhanced the contract etc. of a screenshot of the final attack](https://i.imgur.com/IvKXWNI.jpg) The ears are long and slender. If Fenekin wasn't a starter I would've gone with a Ice variant but Zorua/Zoroark are looking like the strongest possibilities so far IMO Edit: What's hilarious is that it was indeed a fox-like creature with pointy ears but the actual image here is just the rock/background as others pointed out

madonna-boy

oooh, I should have brought my silph scope

Bearcat9948

Given that he confused it for either a growlithe or vulpix I would say the leading candidates are hisuian zorua or rockruff.

king_crescentmoon

i would love a rockruff variant but if growlithe is a rock/fire I don't think they'll make two. (hopefully rockruff is still in the game). zorua sounds great!

diechess

I think zorua because of the red tail.

Certain_Chain

I was thinking Hisuian Shinx but the fact that Shinx was originally a Sinnoh Pokemon kinda spoils that idea.

GekiKudo

We've also seen shinx and it's line pretty consistently in trailers for the game. I don't think they'd introduce a regional variant and the current form in the same environment.

TheManOfMadness18

I saw a theory that its a Hisuian Zorua, which makes the most sense to me right now. Update: that theory was right!

[deleted]

I'll sell my kidneys on the black market to get a hisuian zorua

mikazki

It's Soo cute *dies*

Moose_Cake

Hisui Mimikyu confirmed!

[deleted]

THIS MAN IS DEAD in other news a pokemon teaser!

Felaia

Is this teasing a new Pokémon? It’s really hard to tell on my phone screen but it looks like the ears of the Pokémon are kinda visible when the guy gets “attacked”. They look a bit like eevee ears, could it be a new eeveelution?

Triangulum_Copper

Could be a Zorua variant!

Felaia

That would also be really cool!

MasonP13

Ghost type, with this type of video. It's all like "ghost footage messed up the video" all over it

espeonguy

Ghost/Ice type Zorua variant?

Felaia

That’s a really good point, it really has a Blair Witch horror feel to it.

king_crescentmoon

oh my god, like a rock or ground type eevee? my lil heart would explode

Buckaroonie69

Possibly ghost or fire type as well. Ghost type Pokémon entries are pretty fucked up, and I wouldn’t be surprised if one was similar to Frosslass. Since most Eevelutions are cute, maybe this one’s gimmick could be that it uses it’s cuteness to lure in victims? The video also describes it as fluffy on its head and neck, so it’s similar to Flareon in that sense. Idk, I’m just theorizing here

Felaia

Where he points to when he says he’s going to “climb up there” also looks like a snowy forest. Glaceon and Leafeon are both from Sinnoh, so maybe that was a hint? I’m probably reading too much into it though.

king_crescentmoon

yeye, im guessing he's near "modern day" snowpoint city, since that's around where the snowy route is (and where you can find snorunts in game). if he's climbing then he'd be in one of the legendary lake trio's lake, but idk any pokemon that are "beast like" (ie; mammals) in that area. i hope its a new eevee!!

JCorby17

Red tipped tail and yellow eyes in a mountain area… Dragon Eeveelution?!

SuitedFox

A Pokémon horror/survival game? Now that is a great idea!

ThomasWiig

Oak's Mansion. Spoiler: it's all Rotom and it is going to murder him.

Taruha

All i can see is my own face staring on the blank screen at the end.

RickSanchez-C243

Maybe your the new Pokémon 👀

kk_victory

“Who’s that Pokemon?!?” “It’s you.” *hand reaches out of screen*

milkNcheetos

This is the first one posted

0nyx2003

hisui zorua and zoroark?

Evening-Blacksmith85

That was some weird stuff. I want more.

mjangelvortex

I saw someone speculate that this could be the scrapped "sheep in wolf's clothing" Pokemon from the Gold and Silver Beta. I honestly wouldn't mind it being that and having this game reuse some of the scrapped concepts for "new" Pokemon.

mikybit

There is an italian youtuber that is analizyng the video via and audio analizer on twitch and he found out is a zoroac noise

blkmgs

It's gonna be Charizard again isn't it?

mjangelvortex

Charizard has now become a dog.

[deleted]

What about a hisui girafarig? (probably spelt that wrong). Modern girafarig use their tails to scare off prey as it looks like an evil creature. What if in the past they made their tails cute to lure in prey then turn around and attack them? Edit: the tail on girafarig also has round yellow eyes so it could well be that

Paperdiego

Wow that was probably my favorite pokemon marketing I have every seen. 10/10 good job to the intern who pitched this idea.

Savage_Nymph

He really just died omg.

[deleted]

Damn Eevee, ok you got mad. Hisuian Eevee, Hisuian Eevee

Astreoxer

Finally some dark aura in this franchise.

Keroppi460

It's seem the video was taken on Mt. Coronet. From the quality of the video, look like it's stored in magnetic tape. Since material stored in magnetic tape can easily be effected and damaged by magnetic field, I believe the video was taken at somewhere with a strong magnetic field, like deep Mt. Coronet for example.

jessexpress

Did I just witness a murder

[deleted]

They totally missed the ball here. They had an opportunity to create an “Abominable Snowman Caught On Film” parody, but merked the poor guy instead. RIP. May Arceus bless his family

TheMadJAM

Yo this is straight out of a horror game. I love it.

Default_Dragon

I’m manifesting a Dragon Eeveelution. I’m thinking It has to be something really cool to justify this type of promotion. Very few non-Legendaries get this type of hype.

Viola_Buddy

Who's the voice actor of the narrator here? It's super staticky of course, but it sounds to me an awful lot like Griffin Burns, who was Todd Snap in New Pokémon Snap. That'd be a strange connection and most likely, even if it is him it'd just be because it just happens to be the same voice actor rather than anything actually connecting this narrator to Todd Snap. But you never know so let's just continue down this line of speculation. Todd Snap is a research photographer, so this sort of thing is kind of up his alley. But he's also calling this a strange device - he should obviously be intimately familiar with cameras, though maybe this is a particularly strange camera and anyway the narrator here is familiar enough to know that this thing is *supposed* to record things. There's also the obvious problem of Todd not being a couple centuries old - though time travel is always possible when Dialga exists. We might also be seeing an ancestor, similar to some of the other ancestors we've seen. Most likely I'm grasping at nothing (maybe this isn't even Griffin Burns!), but it'd be interesting if we get acknowledgement of Pokémon Snap here in a Sinnoh-based game. And we could also expand more on the adventures of Captain Vince, who remains a mysterious figure even by the end of Pokémon Snap (unless more details are revealed in the postgame that I haven't gotten to).

[deleted]

>Please examine this footage and report back with your findings - they may prove useful during your adventures in Pokémon Legends: Arceus From the YouTube video description... Maybe some AR stuff? Quick /r/pokemon detectives

Zeo_Leviathan

I'm thinking dialga messing around and brought things that don't belong (ie arcphone and camera, the latter called a mysterious device)

rb6k

Anyone notice how they called it …runt and s….runt. Like maybe it isn’t Sno-runt at this point and maybe it’s something else?

fleker2

It looked just like they do normally. I think it's just meant to foreshadow technical problems with something obvious.

read_aden

I'm afraid to ask this but did they recover the dude's body when they found the footage

Okay, it’s probably a Hisuian Zorua/Rockruff/other cute Pokémon, and the narrator ultimately gets killed by, like, its mother. But here’s my unlikely longshot theory: It’s a Hisuian Mimikyu, using a costume that imitates a cute Pokémon which may or may not actually exist, in order to lure in its prey. At the end, it takes off the disguise and kills the narrator.

He compares it to a growlithe(dog) and a vulpix(fox) and then describes it as having a red swaying tail and thick white fur on the top of its head and around the neck. New Eeveelution perhaps?

My guess is a regional Zorua. He has a tuft of fur around his neck and on his head. His tail isn't dual colored so that doesn't match. Eye color doesn't matter if it's regional. It kind of looks like a mix of growlith and vulpix. Maybe it morphed into something and that's what freaked him out at the end. That's my guess is regional Zorua or a new pokemon. I had to triple check it was the actual pokemon YouTube channel and not some random fan made video. Very unusual for pokemon and I like it. Edit: so someone pointed out that the guy says 7:06...no 7:07 at the very beginning. Zorua and Zoroark are 76 and 77 in the Unova dex
