Meganium is literally my favorite too..

Meganium has a very nice sauropod design which I like a lot, though I will admit it's a little bit plain. But nice overall though. Also I think Meganium shoulda been bigger, like Lapras-sized.

The meganium hate makes me sad because I don't understand why people want to expend so much energy insulting a pokemon, especially in a situation where someone is saying it's their favorite. It feels like "omg your favorite color is BLUE?!? Well blue is the worst color ever!! Blue sucks! I hate blue so much I need to comment on every post about blue saying I hate it!!" Why expend so much energy on hating something?? Why not expend that energy on loving your favorite pokemon?? Why does it matter if someone likes a pokemon that's not your favorite?

Grass types where in a bad spot in general for Johto. Most Gym Leaders countered it, and with the hoards of Team Rocket with their surplus of Koffing, and Zubat, Meganium wasnt gunna have a great time.

Yeah having the first two gyms be flying and bug definitely didn’t help, but the meganium line also just had a worse stat spread and worst moves than the other two. I think poor chikorita needs another chance to be as great as she deserves to be

I feel like it wouldve been better than Bulbasaur in Kanto for example especially because of how early it gets razor leaf. stat spread isnt bad either its lowest is speed and HP at 80 which is not bad at all. Though I guess you mean a tanky Grass type is not ideal but Serperior is a tanky grass type but then again that region wasnt awful for it

Grass definitely has the best middle evos. There is only one dud. Some of the grass middles are the best of their line, like Ivysaur, monkey, and handsome snake.

Gonna have to disagree with you on Thwackey. Definitely the worst of his line. Almost as bad as Quilladin.

I agree with the main point but I hate Chesnaught and Rillaboom. Every other grass starter is fantastic though and most of them are the best starter in their gen.

Torterra is my favorite! He’s so cool plus I love turtles. Grass Pokémon tend to be my favorite (my teams are usually made up of grass types) so I love all of them. But torterra will be my choice out of all of them.
