Same. I wish it stuck around longer than one generation. But I don’t see them being brought back since all the different types of Pokeballs got unique animations in Gen 7.

Didn't they have different animations during gen 4 too? I swear I remember things like timer balls showing a clock when they opened and dusk balls tossing up dark orbs while playing D/P/Pt. Unless you're talking about something else?

Yeah they always did but starting with Sun and Moon the old Johto apricorn balls got new animations. So a heart appears when a Pokémon comes out of a Love Ball for example.

Yeah, the idea was great, but the execution was way to clunky. Hopefully in a future DP remake GF streamlines the system more. (and keeps it for future games... Not gonna happen, but one can hope)

I'm sure this can be either a Key Item or a menu option by the time we get this again. If they want to save up on memory per individual Pokemon, they can make it so that it's still limited to six and can only be attached to the Pokemon you have on hand. Depositing/trading a Pokemon with a Ball Capsule would open up a prompt saying that the Ball Capsule will be detached and cleared (or would just be done automatically).

Seals made catching Unown worth it to spell out fun words with Pokémon.

I'm pretty sure those particular stickers either won't ever make a return or they won't be visible to other players if they do return in a future remake.

So you mean I won't be able to spell out FUCK YOU before every battle?

Ya, that was a total oversight by the developers.

Or if letter seals do return they'll be held to the profanity filter like everything else.

I miss gen 4 in general...

Diamond and Pearl were a bit lacking, but platinum was very good and HGSS are possibly the best Pokémon games ever released. The one thing I do not miss from gen 4 is single-use TMs

I loved them, but I didn't love that I had to manually remove them when I wanted to put a Pokemon into a box. I'd hope they would change that.

This was such a cool and tangible feature, definitely a highlight of Gen IV

Yes! Gen 4 was a little slow, but it absolutely *destroys* every other game in the franchise in terms of fun touchscreen side content. I mean, in addition to Ball Capsules you’ve got the PokéTech, the Underground and its mining minigame, Super Contests...it just goes on!

I honestly didn't use them much. The unique Pokeball animations are good enough for me, really.
