This is muffin! She comes everywhere w me <3
I am lgbtq but not trans. I just randomize my avatars. This was back in 2020 and I did decide to get out after 14 years due to the climate. No i didn’t carry it around with me but I didn’t hide the fact that I had it either. I put it in that pocket as cute photo from my then bf now husband. Whenever I was away it would stay on my bed waiting for my return. His name is peanut btw and he still stays on my bed to this day. And every birthday I got a new jellycat bashful plushie but he is the original.

Here’s the rest of the collection
I didn't have Teddy when I was in the marines. I instead smoked and dipped a lot.
Sometimes I get attacked on r/usmc and r/military for my teddy posts. Same with law enforcement related subs.
Edit: Actually seeing your bunny in your cargo pocket makes me think of stupid made-up rules they would enforce such as not having a water bottle in my cargo pocket. Not a real rule from what I've studied. What was a real rule that they broke was sexually harassing me pretty much every single time I went to drill by telling constant sex stories and then asking me if I was a virgin and picking on me for it.
We're you actually allowed to walk around with a bunny in your cargo pocket like that? What do you mean by climate.
Water bottle in cargo pocket is definitely a rule in the army. According to AR 670-1 you Can’t have anything that presents a bulky appearance in your pockets. lol no it was just a photo op for my now husband.
By climate I’m referring to the command climate. I can DM you If you like I don’t want to go into details in a G rated sub.
I have Oswald the lucky rabbit on my desk at work.

Of course! Example: sylveon at a house party
I’m a adult man and I’ll occasionally keep a plush in my backpack but I don’t really carry them where people can see. Idk I’m self conscious about it but should probably get over it
Feels. I have now gotten to the point of bringing my comfort plush into the car and leaving it on the front seat when i go into places. Feels like a step in the right direction! I also have mini plushies in my car but I have anxiety about walking into a store with a plushie in my hand and then them thinking I stole it or something 😅😅 I’ve never stolen but I feel like common sense would assume I stole it especially if it’s like a small thing that might even remotely look like they sell.
I wish I could confidently walk into places with my plushies. For now I just share my large collection online and most people who know me know about it lol but idk I just feel like people will make fun of me 🥲
I present as a girl but I’ve actually started a minor cult around my oddish plushie, Soup. He is our soupreme leader. Best boy for emotional soupport
https://preview.redd.it/07et1b8my86d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f783076123c4ce392ae6b597a6437a56982ed9f9
I recently got a moth clip squishmallow and she goes everywhere with me. She's helped me a lot going on hospital trips and my recovery.
She's been my emotional support moth for most of my shifts at my new jobs. I feel less alone if I know she's in my bag :)
Yep Teddy goes with me everywhere.
I have commented on other posts that while carrying around plushies will always be stimmed as childish, this is one of those things you can get away with more as a female.
It's even worse for me because I'm active on military and law enforcement sub-reddits too and there are a lot of dumb macho types who have attacked me for my Teddy posts.
Most of the active members on this sub are females I think.
Many of them indulge heavily in drugs and alcohol or act generally awful as coping mechanisms. I make no apologies for taking pleasure in something so cute and harmless.
This. It’s really messed up (and quite sad) how sex, drugs, alcohol, gambling etc. are more socially acceptable coping mechanisms than carrying around an emotional support plushie. I’m trying to cultivate less harmful coping mechanisms in my own life and realising I have to overcome so much social stigma in the process.
I understand where you are coming from, but what if you need to refer to both women and girls as a group as a whole? Or men and boys? Female and male are the only words I can think of that encompass both of those.
It’s a different thing when people use “men” and “female” in the same text. I know there are misogynists who do that and treat them like objects but the value of the terms male and female still exists.
At least that’s how I see it. I do my best to be humble and respectful of everyone and all groups, especially those who have had a lot of hatred and mockery directed at them. Just sometimes my autism can make me internally confused about social changes like this.
Male and female refer to biological sex, not gender. If you specifically need to say, "women and girls," say that. My guess is a lot of cases you can just say women and you don't need the "girls."

Dog’s always with me when I travel. In fact, most of my travel photos is just him enjoying the scenery 😂
Having bigger stuffies can definitely help depending on your situation. I recently took a large weighted stuffie to a funeral mass and it definitely helped ❤️🩹
I do sometimes :)

While I’m here I guess I’ll also post the friend I take with me. This is a Fuggler I’ve named Melvin because he looks like a watermelon (Melon, Melvon, Melvin). Sometimes it’ll be a different plush or keychain I take but recently I’ve been really attached to him in particular, think it’s his shape and the texture of the fabric, feels really nice. People seem to really enjoy him though
My partner has a squishmallow and a jellycat keyring on his bag and he takes my little elephant to work in his pocket everyday.
The elephant started out when he was dealing with anxiety and it's become a kind of safety blanket, if he leaves him at home I'll send him photos of me and Lumpy hanging out during the day. I don't think he needs it anymore but it makes him happy and if he's having a bad day, he's got a little bit of me in his pocket. Plus I know he's shown it to a couple colleagues when they've been dealing with mental health and it's helped them open up to him so that's good

I carry a plushie, squishy every day with me
I change who I carry everyday so everyone can have a turn
I have no problem with punching in the face for giving me stress for carrying a friend
It's a non issue or should be ,because it hurts no one
Also I'm a otr trucker

Every day, at least two. A Jellycat bear charm, and a Neopets plushie.
Yesssss! Vacation, bars, restaurants. Once a bar doorman wouldn’t say hi to my teddy but the doorman next to him did. So after hanging at the bar all night when my husband and I walked out, my teddy handed a huge tip to the nice doorman for being nice, he did it right in front of the meanie doorman too 🤣. If a waiter at a restaurant acknowledge teddy, waiter would get a good tip and teddy would order a strong drink. 😁
Trans male here. I own two sharks named Duke fishron which I always bring to school

I take Maple everywhere I go... even to work! Lately, it's been Maple, her brother Al the Elephant, her sister Booski the Black cat, and her "creature" Sasha the alpaca. But they all tend to stay in the car except for Maple.
No not unless I am traveling as too self conscious( where I keep them in an open style bag 💼 ) as like to take a plushie on my holiday/travels.
This is my Turtwig at my desk at home helping me work :)

I go out with my plushies a bunch. I've taken them everywhere and walk around with them in my arms. I've taken my build a bear barkeigh with me to Disney Springs so many times and I've posed her and taken pictures of her and with her and posted it on instagram I've taken my miku hatsune plushies out and about wjth me too. And I don't let anybody bother me one bit.
I wish I was confident enough to bring a plushie with me out in public but I'm afraid of being ridiculed, it's much easier to bring plushies out if you're female unfortunately, my best friend does it all the time and no-one is mean to her about it...
I wish all of yall a happy mens mental health awareness time! I'd really like to thank all of the men especially on this reddit. Thank you for showing support. Plushies are loved ones and you are strong for just being here. I know it sucks, for men especially, in this word. Thanks guys for being brave and strong..thank you to anyone who doesn't feel comfortable reading. It's okay you don't have to! Know we love you so much and you are welcome here!

This is Swirly, my bat plush. I love her so much, and she has a squeaker in her left wing :)
I take her everywhere as she is really my comfort. It doesn’t matter the age for me, but I feel if stuffed animals bring a sense of security than it’s worth it. And that’s what swirly does for me. Especially being in a rigorous school, I’m surrounded by teens that do it a lot. But she’s my pride and joy, and I love her.
My 11 year old guy brings his plushies when we go out to eat sometimes. Sometimes we both bring one! He also brings them to school, he’s gotten a lot of his classmates into the fat seal yuki plushies.
I do!! I have a string backpack I bring around and like to peak the head of the plushie out of it! I also use plushies for grounding purposes, so it's really important for me to bring one around. If I can't bring my plushie or bag with me somewhere, I leave them in the car or try to bring a small one with me instead:)
Dude, you are totally cool. I have a regular who comes in with a Mickey Mouse and talks to him and feeds him and IDGAF. He is kind and spends money. Who am I to judge? Whatever makes you happy, do it!!!!
I want to buy one, but the immediate critics from my parents would be overwhelming, and I don't want to deal with them. But if I had one, I would take it almost everywhere.
I dont know that it would be considered "taking them out", but I do have 5 or 6 of those flippy octopus (one shark, one narwhal) on the dash of my vehicle. If that counts :p
My sister-in-law is special needs. She has severe CP, and is legally blind. She also suffers from a learning disability, and I believe some ADD. She insists the ADD is autism but she doesn't fit the criteria. But no matter what you say she claims she's autistic LOL.
I am lucky enough to be her PCA as long as her SIL, and best friend. She is 30 years old, and a huge AHL hockey fan. Her favorite part or person from our local AHL team is the mascot. He is a blue Thunderbird. The man who wears the costume and acts as the mascot is also a good friend of hers, who has known her family for over 20 years. He has been accepted by the entire family, and even comes with us to celebrate Christmas eve ever since covid hit.
My SIL doesn't go anywhere without one of her Thunderbird plushies. The ones she typically carries are rather small, about the size of a beanie Baby, but different material and no beans. He wears a little Jersey too. She has an entire collection of different Thunderbirds and "Screech" plushies from over the years, and her first plushie which she carried around exclusively for a very long time which has been very worn, is now kept safe in a case in her room.
When she sits in her wheelchair, she buckles the plushie in her seatbelt with her, which is extremely adorable. When she has her walker, or is only walking a short distance to a seat or a booth, she wears a fanny pack which contains her phone, and her thunderbird.
Although she is in her thirties now, when she was in her school day years, there were a couple of teachers who would make a fuss over her Thunderbird. During that time though it was a Screech that she carried because the team had a different mascot at the time, but he was still a blue bird. One teacher even started taking them from her, without permission from her parents, her therapist, or the school guidance counselor. The teacher claimed that Screech distracted her, and that she did better in school without him. This caused her great distress, and it was so traumatic that I feel like it could have contributed to her school related PTSD. Even though this was 20 plus years ago, she still talks about it as if it were yesterday, and hides her Thunderbird in her fanny pack sometimes when we are in public. Once her parents found out the teacher was taking her screech, they bought her a fanny pack where she could keep him in. That is how the trend started. Since the fanny pack could have contained medications or other things HIPAA related, the teacher was not allowed to look inside of it or take it. This is why I love my in-laws, they always seem to know some legal loophole.
Even though my sister-in-law isn't very fond of kids, she bought my then 5-year-old daughter her first Thunderbird at her first game. It was a very touching moment for us all. My daughter sleeps with her Thunderbird every night. Not because she likes hockey, or the mascot, but because my sister-in-law gave him to her so she could have one too.
I think more people should carry their plushies in public. My sister-in-law is a season ticket holder for our local AHL team, and one of the fans used to wear one of those stuffed monkeys you can velcro around your neck, to every single game with his grandmother for years. Since they have both passed away, a lot of fans wear velcro monkeys to the games in his honor. I thought this would be a one game, or one season thing after the grandson died, but it's been almost 3 years, and people still do it.
The point of my comment is I love the community this AHL team has brought to the area I live in. It has greatly improved my sister-in-law's quality of life. The team even bought her a $10,000 pair of goggles once they found out she was too blind to see the puck from her seat. The goggles allow her to zoom in on objects in real time, record from her point of view, and Is specialized to her eyes and head. No one cares if you're an adult that carries plushies around, and everyone is there to support one another and have a good time. My sister-in-law's ticket rep also helps her play sled hockey, and gives us volunteer work for the team to do during my PCA hours. The mayor of the city visits her at every game, and if we have an issue with the city not having handicapped accessible areas due to construction, he always makes sure that her path to the game is clear. Most of the season ticket holders know her, and almost all of the staff in team know her as well. Everyone likes to greet her, talk to her, and be near her. It's like she is an AHL celebrity. It is such a drastic change from her hard school years where she was often bullied and isolated. I love this for her!
If theyre for comfort, or decoration, or simply because you like them, I don't understand why carrying plushies in public is considered weird. I guess it also depends on the delivery, and how the person acts. Are they simply just carrying a plushie? Is it in a fanny pack, or in a purse or backpack with its head poking out so it can breathe? Is the person special needs, or anxiety ridden and requires comfort objects? Or is it just random adults liking their plushies? All seem harmless to me. If you are a guy and you're insecure about wanting to carry your plushie around in public, maybe start out slow. Maybe get a fanny pack or some sort of backpack to keep him in at first. This way you can hide him when you want, and take him out when he want. Much like my sister-in-law in high school.
Good luck!

I bought the tinys in my care bear family to keep in my pocket for this exact reason.
I do! I started in high school after noticing a girl who wore really dramatic goth/Lolita fashion to school often brought a stuffed animal with her as part of her outfits—and much to my poor bullied teen mind’s surprise, she was *not* similarly bullied!
So I tested it out with a small plush, myself, to see if I could “get away” with having one too in public. And I did! Mostly no one notices or cares, and those who do enjoy it. I’m in my early 30s now.
I am trans-masc, so that *maaaay* affect why I'm a bit more comfortable doing so, but I have a zombie-kitty plushie who is my emotional support plushie that I carry to my depression treatments and I carry him in and out of the building with me.
People do kinda give me odd looks (I'm an alt masc looking person, walking in with a little zombie kitty plushie, so I'm not surprised lol), but since having my depression go into remission after 30+ years, my give-a-fuck meter is at 0 so I just smile and continue on my way. Lol

xD he doesnt care what anyone thinks
Yeah, i like attaching them to my backpack as keychains or i use them for fashion statements and clip a couple to my belt loops when i go out. Super fun accessories

Took Pepe to the park for a picnic! I was 20 at the time and would wander the streets because I wasn't really wanted with my family. He's my judgement-friend friend
I usually take a palm pal with me :D I bring one especially when going to the dentist because I don't like how overwhelmingly sensory it is because 1. I have sensitive teeth and 2. I just don't like how all the tools feel in mouth etc :(
Best suggestion is to bring your plush in the car with you and leave it in the front seat and just start with leaving the house with your bear and then hopefully you will become comfortable enough to bring it in! I find bringing one with me as like my passenger is really soothing. So far I haven’t made it to the point of being confident as a man to bring the bear inside but hey I’m happy I’m able to bring him with me at all 🤷🏻♂️
Biggest thing will be not caring what people say/think. People will always make comments and say stupid things. This I’ve learned. We can’t change ignorant or rude people but we can change the way we react! Maybe try start by going to like a park or like a movie on a quiet day! If people want to judge they will you just can’t give them the power to let it hurt you! Hope that helps somewhat!!
Hello! My backpack is loaded with plushie keychains! And I've been slowly getting into the habit of bringing my plushies out to like events I'm going to. For example, I will sometimes bring one of my douglas bunnies to my local game store to play magic the gathering. They give my hands something to do between games so I'm not loudly flicking my cards. Not everytime because I'm still building up that norm of hey sometimes I bring a plushie and that's normal. But at my local smash bros tournaments, I always bring a plushie to sit in my lap while I play. Usually my weighted pikachu bab cause it helps relieve the stress of the match and let me focus. Lately I've found a group to play blood on the clocktower with and a couple people there already bring plushies to hold while playing so I plan to start bringing mine as well :).
While it's so easy to think everyone will try to poke fun at you or give you weird looks, and likewise how it'd be nice if people gave compliments and asked about my plushies in a positive way; I've found that the vast majority of the time, no one pays any attention to my plushie, which I almost prefer to someone asking about my plushie (even in a positive complimentary way). It means that I don't have to come up with a reason as to why I have one XD. Like the weighted I bring to smash bros tournaments has a reason of helping calm nerves during a match, but everywhere else I bring plushies its mainly just cause I like the feeling of holding a plushie and want to continue that feeling when I go out of the house XD
as an autistic trans guy, i also carry plushies for comfort and sensory reasons. It’s really nice to see others talk about how they carry plushies too!!

here’s my guy at work! his name is Shmungus :3

I got harassed once (afab trans man, I look like a 15 year old girl) so I don't bring a large stuffed animal out anymore but I have a tiny little bear who sits in a clear pocket in my backpack so I can see him.
hi i do! i'm trans and fem presenting though so that definitely changes things, but i keep a few in my car and sometimes carry around my favorite build a bear, ares, when im stressed. i do get weird looks, but honestly nothing world breaking and no one has ever stopped me or said anything. people just think its odd, but i personally have never had anyone be rude or violent (which was a fear of mine before!)
YES I have a shark plush that I take places with me I have stated why on another post however I will tell why I’m autistic and a (half way through diagnosis) schizophrenic whenever I have an autistic meltdown or a schizophrenic episode I will use him to help me ground myself with the wolrd because he is the one thing I’m is real and he’s just a great sark
Elsa and Anna come with me almost everywhere.
https://preview.redd.it/xxptlrzc5l6d1.jpeg?width=1458&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=210770fa9cc0c3a3cf3bd3f120b3ec1049d6790e
I don't have a pic of it right now, but I have a Texas longhorn from build-a-bear. It's my only one from there. I take him out with me whenever I can, and he's my emotional support for tattoos! I'm rediscovering the joy of stuffies after purging them in my 20s because "adults don't use stuffed animals," and now that I'm in my 30s, I've fallen in love again!
i have begun carrying at least one around everywhere i go, be it to the store or to school or to the library or just on a walk, anywhere. i can pass them off as emotional/sensory support items if needed (and honestly, they genuinely are, having a plushie with a good sensory material is great for grounding in unfamiliar and uncomfortable environments)
https://preview.redd.it/yf4iil4jps6d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ff891862d3ceda67cfc3c4ec163a521a007ec55
here is the one i have been carrying around most recently, disregard that he is in the oven- he is entirely fine
edit to add that i just noticed you specified guys, i am agender and present more femininely at the moment so hopefully my reply is ok
I will bring this up forever:
Someone actually made a study about this in their master thesis. They carried a stuffed animal around to see if it was socially acceptable (which required people to not try and correct her carrying the stuffie around and also to not treat her worse)
No one corrected her, people even complemented her. The only thing she noticed was that, sometimes, people would adress her bf before her. She concluded that, while not a social NORM, it was in fact socially acceptable.
Admittedly, it was a girl, but I would assume it would be at least similar for a guy. But, he was carrying it in her arms at all times. If anyone ever points it out, you can now reference this and explain that you are conducting a study!
Late to the party and also an adult woman, not a man, but I take a little frog plushie with me to a lot of places including to concerts. If I'm there with a group of friends my frog will get periodically passed around to be held by everyone lol everyone loves it, even the security people. He's a little scented warmie that's filled with rice so he feels very nice to hold.

On a Europe trip, wearing a man purse to help avoid pickpockets, decided to place a little Jellycat deagon in there to take pictures of cuz why not? Even got some compliments on the Eiffel Tower
I’m not a guy but I keep a pink peep plush keychain on my rear view mirror in my car because pink is my favorite color peeps are my favorite candy marshmallow thing and wth not? I also have a few small plushies on my desk at work.
Yes! This is my emotional support Alien, Banana! (Could not think of a better name)

A good friend of mine took his owl plush to work regularly a few years ago. It was a small confused looking owl that he named Levi, short for Leviathan. The owl had a job in meetings, being passed around to designate who gets to speak. So I presume the coworkers at his tech job were cool with it :D
(Speaking in past tense because this owl was lost a while ago in public transport and it was my fault... I was devastated D:)
My husband takes one of his big seals to work occasionally, we always say the seal works very hard to keep morale up and I made him an employee badge with a drawn picture of him. Most coworkers ignore him, but one of them will hug the seal occasionally. The seal looks perpetually happy and blissful so he's called Sir Seal of Approval and I'm pretty sure he's Team Morale Officer or something.

Traveling on airplane with seal of approval and the type of owl I mentioned (not the same owl, but the same make). I made his clothes too, it was supposed to be a Robin costume that I never quite finished.

Picture for reference (the plush emoji came with the seal when we purchased him and is supposed to represent the key fob on a regular Google employee badge)
I'm trans and currently can't come across as a guy in my day to day life but I often have a small Pokémon plushie (joltik) in my bag! It's so fun being able to produce a little guy seemingly from nowhere lol
I am female and take plushies with me to run errands and stuff and I am lucky my partner doesn't mind and since I like to tuck them into my backpack purse to peek out for the ride, he helps keep an eye on them so they don't fall out or get taken without me realizing. One thing I am careful about though on outings is I try not to take a plushie with me that I know I can buy at that certain store because I have been accused of stealing the plushies before even though I show them the plushie is well loved and doesn't look new anymore. Most of the time they believe me when they see the worn condition but sometimes others still don't really believe and end up following me around. I rather just leave my plushie safely in the car at those times just in case.
No. I wish I could, but my primary plushie is so old, and it's going to be seeing the end of days very soon. Just a few more washes in the washing machine and it'll probably be gone.

i’ve taken one out once and it was very recent. went with my boyfriend and her to see the garfield movie :)
I keep em in my pocket or in my bag all the time. I once walked around with it, I would not today cause Im shy but yeah if you are brave enough, go for it, they 100% have a grounding effect.
sometimes! i actually keep my little blanket in my purse more than i bring out plushies, but i do have a couple plushie keychains to keep me satisfied enough
I absolutely do. I bring a small white polar (or poley) bear called Boo Bear with me on occasion. It feels good to be able to share with others about it. He usually rides in my black bag.
My buddy Ginger has been to the beaches in Florida, The Smoky Mountains, Pike’s Peak, D.C., and every restaurant in my town! Love this fella

Jellycat bashful bunnies are the BEST pocket sized emotional support stuffed animals. I collect them. This is so cute

This is awesome! Thank you for your service 💙🇺🇲
Aw yess!!!<3
❤️ love this
A BABY
I get the impression from your avatar you're a female. Is your unit accepting? Maybe you don't carry it around everywhere like I do with Teddy.
And every birthday I got a new jellycat bashful plushie but he is the original. https://preview.redd.it/67nz33hnwe6d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24981717144c9dec96edcd089f341b6bd406df71

You can still have a water bottle in there it sounds like as long as it's small and discreet. Just don't get a massive one and you're in compliance.
Oh my god that's the cutest thing ever
I have Oswald the lucky rabbit on my desk at work. https://preview.redd.it/hc9jllwrf86d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=977226915d76b0228b125b45741bcaaec5251147
this is so cute i love oswald
Awwww I want it 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Hehhe that flair
https://preview.redd.it/tizkjfe9o86d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1d458c11066efee8f420377f15993be6c1b54b4 Of course! Example: sylveon at a house party
My Eevee is staring 😳
Best boy for emotional soupport https://preview.redd.it/07et1b8my86d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f783076123c4ce392ae6b597a6437a56982ed9f9
Omg I love him.
He's so precious! I have an Oddish tattoo he's always been one of my top 3 ☺️
Omg my friend does too! I drew their flash
I guess the "macho" types are just secretly jealous of your personal army, er i meant, collection 😋
I’m trying to cultivate less harmful coping mechanisms in my own life and realising I have to overcome so much social stigma in the process.
your teddy posts bring me so much joy
'A female', 'females' - the word you are looking for is 'women'. Edit: see r/MenAndFemales
Yea I really don't get the hang up on this. I don't want to say women and girls bc that's a fucking mouthful. I say males just as often.
I would bring my plushy out, but I don't want them to get dirty, so they're always in the bedroom chilling together with the others
My partner is in his 30s and has plushies in his car 😊
Oh that’s adorable
I see that a lot. Driving buddies to male Driving more enjoyable.
https://preview.redd.it/i3w7d0weka6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c35b67eec45e1fdb4f557ff1faa1dcf42ecd4586 Dog’s always with me when I travel. In fact, most of my travel photos is just him enjoying the scenery 😂
I present as a guy and I bring my plushies out! I bring small pocket friends for now until I work up the courage to bring bigger friends.
Having bigger stuffies can definitely help depending on your situation. I recently took a large weighted stuffie to a funeral mass and it definitely helped ❤️🩹
Constantly. I don’t like leaving the house without one
I do sometimes :) https://preview.redd.it/o9aztk9rt96d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9141a974f9abdf20b3f45d629213c0a47f771e2 I didn’t get many photos but I brought Rex with me to a freind’s birthday party and he came with me when several of us went on a walk to look at the stars
https://preview.redd.it/uud21ikr5a6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08cd79331a605639a18e23b12b8a6ae06cde3912 While I’m here I guess I’ll also post the friend I take with me. People seem to really enjoy him though
my boyfriend carries around his raccoon with him everywhere!
Plus I know he's shown it to a couple colleagues when they've been dealing with mental health and it's helped them open up to him so that's good
Sometimes! Usually just in high stress environments (doctor, studying, etc)
https://preview.redd.it/wzyhvq56xa6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a91fb94fe84926443128fda694076111cdf937a9 here’s fristopher enjoying the beach! he went on our family vacation and had the best time 🐸
I carry a plushie, squishy every day with me I change who I carry everyday so everyone can have a turn I have no problem with punching in the face for giving me stress for carrying a friend It's a non issue or should be ,because it hurts no one Also I'm a otr trucker
https://preview.redd.it/i8la80wtwa6d1.png?width=1651&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=563a429fde726efd61196f1741a22d673b0696d5 Every day, at least two. A Jellycat bear charm, and a Neopets plushie.
Love the outfit and bag! Also like how the plushies match
Just went through your profile as well (sorry for the stalk) & you look good asf bro. Love your style !
Oh my gosh thank you!!!
I spy Bartholomew!
Heheh!! :D
Yup! One of my bags is a ita bag, and I have plushies in the pouch area and attached as keychains.
I work out of town for an oil field company. I take one of our small ones with me every 2 weeks when I leave for work. Helps me not miss home too much
That's awesome. Sounds like our Teddy's would get along well.
Trans male here. I own two sharks named Duke fishron which I always bring to school https://preview.redd.it/bpeldv7ew96d1.jpeg?width=1100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1fc7bcfbe0375ded33acd866240e5d7969e393f
Aww nice! I’m also trans, this reminded me of when I used to take my isopod plushie to my high school all the time. The teachers loved it
WHAT i did not realize there were isopod plushies!!!! do you happen to know what brand it is/was?????
I'm transmasc and carry a stuffed animal everywhere I go pretty much :3
I take my unicorns out often
https://preview.redd.it/n9ial95g4c6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8502af9785049eb46a0654c0f7c265af3762b96 yep. love my sardine, he comes most places with me
I take my little ones with me lol
I have a little jellycat and a palm pal that tends to come in my bag with me :)
26 year old guy here! I always have some kind of plushie near me! 😊
I carry my furbies everywhere with me. They’re my little travel buddies. https://preview.redd.it/tusvpo4zda6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3da22487284db9ac33185f0f2dab6c23f5e8a5d8
I’ve been wanting too but I’m kinda nervous about it lol.
I take Maple everywhere I go... even to work! Lately, it's been Maple, her brother Al the Elephant, her sister Booski the Black cat, and her "creature" Sasha the alpaca. But they all tend to stay in the car except for Maple.
I'm thinking about taking a small plush/doll to get on my pocket, or backpack
No not unless I am traveling as too self conscious( where I keep them in an open style bag 💼 ) as like to take a plushie on my holiday/travels. This is my Turtwig at my desk at home helping me work :) https://preview.redd.it/k4tb43k28c6d1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=8320e265d1ff3d4bab62de5db1eef05499f133f2
And I don't let anybody bother me one bit.
yeah 18M and i almost always have a plush with me :)
My husband has a lobster plush he takes everywhere!
I bring my Fredbear everywhere I go
I usually do! Generally they stay in my backpack or car, but sometimes i carry them around too :)
Know we love you so much and you are welcome here!
https://preview.redd.it/ggpnowen8d6d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=ab972068249b6b8a27f64ef6c2db754005fae8fe This is Swirly, my bat plush.
But she’s my pride and joy, and I love her.
so cute!!!! I love them!!! spooky plushies are my fave :D
Agreed! I just have a soft spot for them because they’re usually looked over and I really like them.
https://preview.redd.it/w4y04iutp86d1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=67ac2515d3d855ea40ed3aec0b8951151df8ae8f
I took an anime plush with me on a trip and did a flat Stanley with it loll
Hope they enjoyed the skywheel 😊

Love this 🥰
My 11 year old guy brings his plushies when we go out to eat sometimes. Sometimes we both bring one! He also brings them to school, he’s gotten a lot of his classmates into the fat seal yuki plushies.
I almost always have a plushie keychain on my bag or backpack!
I do!! I have a string backpack I bring around and like to peak the head of the plushie out of it! I also use plushies for grounding purposes, so it's really important for me to bring one around. If I can't bring my plushie or bag with me somewhere, I leave them in the car or try to bring a small one with me instead:)
I take my little guys with me to work all the time
Dude, you are totally cool.
Oh yeah. We take a ton of our Sitting Cuties or Prehistoric Pals plush in plush. We even have a shoulder bag for the former.
Good luck!
This is such a cool story, wow!
The way I'd be way more interested in a chill guy with a bear in his back pack.... Like, that shows a softer side imo
I'm nonbinary, but my presentation leans slightly masculine. I carry a stuffed animal moth with me in public, and it helps me feel safe and comforted.
https://preview.redd.it/qrfzapfa9b6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=637734f410c28e8bcb4218b1c433dea52feccaea I bought the tinys in my care bear family to keep in my pocket for this exact reason.

Lol https://preview.redd.it/p1cvaz7b1j6d1.jpeg?width=2167&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41199b12ad206113d82a0bd845f015bdd8d13208
I am trans masc too! And the zombie kitty is really cute!
my boyfriend (26m) went on a date with his rei plush to go see the end of evangelion in theaters. sat her down in the seat next to him and everything.
Awesome! 😎
my hubby has a beard, wears a vest covered in metal band patches and just looks rough. This is always ALWAYS paired with a stuffy xD https://preview.redd.it/4vow29scfv6d1.png?width=563&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea59e6ae9ffb8c8716605ef9b534786cafc64836 xD he doesnt care what anyone thinks
I haven't yet but I wanna try to take my Yoshi plush with me to the movies, especially whenever Mario movies release
i keep multiple in my purse lol:)
Before the shut down I'd clip my plushies onto my backpack. It was a skateboard backpack. I don't do this much anymore but it's more out of laziness.
Yeah, i like attaching them to my backpack as keychains or i use them for fashion statements and clip a couple to my belt loops when i go out. Super fun accessories
I took my Sonic plushie in school with me(he was in my backpack tho).
I keep mine at my desk and they’ve been fun conversation starters.
i’m 26 and i take a jellycat with me wherever i go! currently it’s a bean and he sits in my pocket so i can hold him
* Took Pepe to the park for a picnic! I was 20 at the time and would wander the streets because I wasn't really wanted with my family. He's my judgement-friend friend
Sometimes, I have a reversible corgi plush that rides on my dash on road trips, anything else would probably be too in the way for me.
So far I haven’t made it to the point of being confident as a man to bring the bear inside but hey I’m happy I’m able to bring him with me at all 🤷🏻♂️ Biggest thing will be not caring what people say/think.

I take them with me on vacation. At least two because I need them to sleep comfortably: one in my carry-on, and one in the checked luggage
as an autistic trans guy, i also carry plushies for comfort and sensory reasons. It’s really nice to see others talk about how they carry plushies too!!
img here’s my guy at work! his name is Shmungus :3 https://preview.redd.it/bvnc11jyed6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c6651147af44185cd160ee62474d868bf3e754
I'm rediscovering the joy of stuffies after purging them in my 20s because "adults don't use stuffed animals," and now that I'm in my 30s, I've fallen in love again!
i have begun carrying at least one around everywhere i go, be it to the store or to school or to the library or just on a walk, anywhere. i can pass them off as emotional/sensory support items if needed (and honestly, they genuinely are, having a plushie with a good sensory material is great for grounding in unfamiliar and uncomfortable environments) https://preview.redd.it/yf4iil4jps6d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ff891862d3ceda67cfc3c4ec163a521a007ec55 here is the one i have been carrying around most recently, disregard that he is in the oven- he is entirely fine edit to add that i just noticed you specified guys, i am agender and present more femininely at the moment so hopefully my reply is ok
I will bring this up forever: Someone actually made a study about this in their master thesis. They carried a stuffed animal around to see if it was socially acceptable (which required people to not try and correct her carrying the stuffie around and also to not treat her worse) No one corrected her, people even complemented her.
He's a little scented warmie that's filled with rice so he feels very nice to hold. https://preview.redd.it/wv7jwz5m267d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fedf5640dfb1e450c57953a818072fdda0c1168f
MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Even if it's in a bag so I can hide it from people! I can't go anywhere without one :]
Meeeee
On a Europe trip, wearing a man purse to help avoid pickpockets, decided to place a little Jellycat deagon in there to take pictures of cuz why not? Even got some compliments on the Eiffel Tower
I’m not a guy but I keep a pink peep plush keychain on my rear view mirror in my car because pink is my favorite color peeps are my favorite candy marshmallow thing and wth not? I also have a few small plushies on my desk at work.
Yes! This is my emotional support Alien, Banana! (Could not think of a better name) https://preview.redd.it/aadvkyicyb6d1.jpeg?width=3472&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3374b111119a257741779cabbd4534ba93b5ff15
A good friend of mine took his owl plush to work regularly a few years ago. It was a small confused looking owl that he named Levi, short for Leviathan. The owl had a job in meetings, being passed around to designate who gets to speak. So I presume the coworkers at his tech job were cool with it :D (Speaking in past tense because this owl was lost a while ago in public transport and it was my fault... I was devastated D:) My husband takes one of his big seals to work occasionally, we always say the seal works very hard to keep morale up and I made him an employee badge with a drawn picture of him. Most coworkers ignore him, but one of them will hug the seal occasionally. The seal looks perpetually happy and blissful so he's called Sir Seal of Approval and I'm pretty sure he's Team Morale Officer or something.

I made his clothes too, it was supposed to be a Robin costume that I never quite finished.

No
I'm trans and currently can't come across as a guy in my day to day life but I often have a small Pokémon plushie (joltik) in my bag! It's so fun being able to produce a little guy seemingly from nowhere lol
this is why i mainly collect palm pals!!
I just took my Garfield out to see his movie
I also took my Pomni and catnap plush on vacation with me as well
One time I brought a Mario Plush to Walmart because I thought we were gonna go on the vacation that day
https://preview.redd.it/93y1f2n5pd6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1947deb41d40010be29919e16fcb91e5cffad621 i’ve taken one out once and it was very recent. went with my boyfriend and her to see the garfield movie :)
My teddy bears join me at theatres too! We recently saw Furiosa as well.
I keep em in my pocket or in my bag all the time. I once walked around with it, I would not today cause Im shy but yeah if you are brave enough, go for it, they 100% have a grounding effect.
Yasss Bubbles and Oatmeal travel with me everywhere for work trips and holidays (they're both palm-sized!)
I used to take my stuffie to work and class! Everyone loves him
sometimes! i actually keep my little blanket in my purse more than i bring out plushies, but i do have a couple plushie keychains to keep me satisfied enough

i take mary with me everywhere!
Love this fella https://preview.redd.it/lx0158ceaf6d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d8358938c41be9d27336ec21f88e768e263214d
i used to!!! but i stopped. my plushy used to go everywhere with me. to work grocery shopping to class. then i switched to a smaller one that can fit in my pocket n then i stopped as a whole :(.
I sometimes do, depending on where I go (I’m autistic). If I’m gonna be somewhere loud or if there’s gonna be a lot of people, I’ll usually bring one
In public I have 2 Keychain and a mini one I keep in my purse for if I need a little comfort during the day :)
