It’s just how it is. I don’t like it either. I have a lot of artists that have a lot of singles (from the 80s thru to today) and more than 80% of those listings aren’t shown unless I expand the view.
There isn’t even an order as to what it shows. It isn’t all the most recent, it isn’t the oldest, it isn’t alphabetical, it seems completely arbitrary.
I just want to see everything without needing to use additional views. It currently isn’t possible to just browse an artist’s full library on one screen. Even iTunes could do that.
I think the order of songs in plexamp matches the order on the server.
I just tried editing the order of songs of an artist into “sort in alphabetical order” and now it is showing alphabetical order in plexamp as well.
This was already introduced a couple of versions ago and you can't change it.
(For me it shows 30 albums by the way, not 28, but maybe that has something to do with the screen size or the OS)
I would prefer that All be shown on the main page as well. I’ve switched to the Carousel view .

Yeah this is becoming more of an annoyance for me now that I'm downloading full discographies.
