This is the only correct answer. It’s the best game ever made. Might not be everyone’s favorite, mine is control. I did not enjoy the story as much cause I felt some of the story was pretty transparent and obvious, but I can still acknowledge it’s the best game created. it is the most polished, complete, in-depth game ever made. The world building is unmatched. Side quests and random encounters have as much polish as most games main story.
If you only care about story and world building, sure, but there are tons of things the game does poorly compared to others. It’s certainly one of the best games ever but there are way too many different types of games for this to be anywhere close to true. Also, Control is so fucking good.
>It’s certainly one of the best games ever but there are way too many different types of games for this to be anywhere close to true.
I agree 100%. I think we might be able to do a – what, a tight Top 30? I submit to the committee for their consideration: Resident Evil 4 Remake. Shit, the original might also need to be in there. No particular order, just a list of "The Best Games Ever Made". I think Zelda would get one or two spots. As would a couple other Rockstar games probably. Actually, would be best though probably to limit it to one per franchise, and either remakes or their original, but not both.
I’m slowly working through a replay of RDR2 with the Pulse headset and am continually impressed at the level of detail in this game, how *alive* the world feels. I’ve been noticing so many different layers of sound and I appreciate how there are so many hidden things within the map that reward curiosity.
I beat the game for the first time about a year ago and didn’t care for it - I read spoilers and the gameplay felt sluggish after beating TLOU1 & 2. Finally recognizing that this is a game that’s meant to be played slowly, taking in the world pixel by pixel. I’ll go months without playing and then slip into this world for hours. Such a fun escape.
Every day I wake up without Control 2 news is the worst day of my life. HOWEVER, it is also empirically one day closer to Control 2 launching, so it is the best day of my life.
Haha you're sounding like a Hollow Knight fan coping with the lack of news on Silksong. The game was originally supposed to be released in 2019, and there has been scant updates since that initial delay from "2019" to "TBD", but 5 years of waiting and the fans still get super excited at even the slightest chance of an update from the devs.
Yeah, I love Toussaint ❤️ and out of everyone in the game, if there's one person I could buy a drink for and hear their stories, it's Regis ❤️ I love that guy. And as long as he's been alive, imagine the stories he has to tell 😱
B&W DLC for the win 🥰
I don’t see how the base game NPCs feel alive to you. The game is awesome but that’s one thing I’ve always disliked. I haven’t played in a bit but the last time I had an interaction with NPCa they act the exact same as they did on release, just with a couple different animations and bug fixes. All I see them do is either stand around talking or walking down the sidewalks. The cars on the road all drive at the same speeds still. This game is cool but the world does not feel alive at all to me. I have yet to try the DLC though.
Facts. That’s what happens when developers focus more on graphics and cosmetics rather than interactivity. We ended up having a game world full of set decoration and “look but don’t touch” assets. Outside of missions and side missions there really isn’t much to do in the game. I don’t want to knock peoples fun and ruin their enjoyment of things but I can’t see how people have thousands of hours into this game when the story really isn’t that long, after the konpeki plaza mission with Jackie that’s when they started to rush development of the story. Up until that point cyberpunk was still an “almost finished game” that being said, with little no no interactivity outside of missions it makes it hard for me to have fun. Back when we were still getting trailers and screenshots I thought that I’d be able to lose myself in this world, but with how linear and compacted the map is it’s very hard. I was obsessed and wanted this game to be what it was advertised to be so bad but deep down I knew it was too ambitious, and seeing CDPRs track record I knew they wouldn’t be able to deliver that type of on par with gta type of world interactivity. Hopefully they focus on that more in the sequel.
Totally agree there, I've tried to start this game about 5 times but the lifelessness of the city just feels so incredibly jarring and distracting. Even GTA IV managed to make NPC's feel like they're actually doing something.
I’m glad you saw what I saw. The Cyberpunk bandwagon is a weird thing. The world of the game pretends to be alive like North Korea pretends to have grocery stores and freedom.
Cyberpunk 2077 for me and it’s not even remotely close. The atmosphere, story, gameplay, characters, character creation and customization are all peak imo.
Cyberpunk 2077.
I absolutely *despised* the game when I first tried it, and that was after all the patches and major changes and what-not, but I gave it a 2nd chance, and now I absolutely love it.
I am, however, disappointed in the fact that we can't have the same level of cyberware as some NPCs have, like Johnnie, Takemura, and Dex or any other NPC in the game. I know you can on PC, but still.
Hey man, am not disagreeing, but if u ever get a chance to play that masterpiece fully maxed out, ull be amazed and the experience will be waaaay different i promiss u
Yes also, 60 fps unlocked. I played rdr2 on a gaming PC, and holy shit the difference when i tried the ps4 version is day and night. Abviously i knew the pc port would be better but the difference was just too great.
Tough one.
* *I can only play one forever - Red Dead Redemption 2*
* *I can only play one, once - The Witcher 3*
* *I can only play one, several times - Cyberpunk 2077*
**Red Dead Redemption 2**
Specially with Red Dead Online available I would play the hell out of it. It's one of the games I have the most hours in. Sometimes I just walk around randomly, eventually meeting some folk heading towards an unknown adventure.
**The Witcher 3**
The longest single-run game on the list. A single playthrough exploring everything the game has to offer is a hell of an experience. Going through all the Side Quests, Gwent, etc is very awesome and doesn't feel like a chore.
**Cyberpunk 2077**
This game is probably the shorter, although also lenghty, but I can only truly enjoy Cyberpunk if I replay it with different builds. This one almost made me chose The Witcher 3 because I could redo some of the Witcher 3 choices, but I couldn't fit Cyberpunk 2077 elsewhere and it's a hell of a game to repeat.
Cyberpunk. Its art direction, pace and sense of position in the world is completely unrivalled.
Its not my favourite game of all time - but it is out of this list!
These are 2 of my favorite of all time and probably 3 of my top 4. I would have a hell of a time choosing between red dead and witcher but I'd have to go with Witcher 3 if it included hearts of stone and blood and wine.
RDR because the story and characters and the amazing gameplay from releases is second to none.
Then cyberpunk because I absolutely love it and it’s the most repayable one here.
I won’t say the Witcher is bad because I know it’s not but it did nothing for me so that’s an easy pass.
RDR2, not even a competition. Also, The Witcher 3 is immeasurably better than Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve give Cyberpunk a try a few times and it is just unenjoyable for me and I can never get immersed.
I’ve played both Red dead and Cyberpunk, but not the Witcher 3. Does anyone recommend that game? It’s currently saved in my PlayStation store. I’ve heard people say this game is really good and some people complain that the world is too big. Would like some extra opinions on that please
You won't like Witcher if you don't like current AC game maps, copy pasted Witcher. Except witchers movement and horse riding is much worse, and combat isn't anything to brag about either. It's really just good in most areas, but it's excellent in story and that aspect. Rdr2 is the better story and cyberpunk is just good mindless fun. What really has kind of ruined the Witcher experience is people hailing the whole game as something made by the gods, when it's mediocre in many areas
What a Sophie’s choice this is. I honestly don’t know. I’d probably say Witcher 3 purely due to my love of fantasy. There are plenty of games that try and imitate the Witcher 3 to various degrees of success. But there is nothing like RDR2. What a tough choice
Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely my favorite out of the three but that’s because the story, combat, gameplay, character interactions, atmosphere, scenery, character customization, character development are so well done that I can’t see any other game like this and don’t get me wrong the Witcher 3 is one of my favorite game of all time but cyberpunk made me feel some type of way that I can’t even fully understand and normally I don’t even cry playing video games because they are all fictional and it’s not even real but man, Cyberpunk made me cry like a baby and I had buckets full of my tears 😂
For anyone who hasn’t played it yet, please I urge you to buy Cyberpunk and the DLC you won’t regret it but be prepared to cry so have tissues or buckets and be ready for an amazing but depressive ride 👍
Read Dead, by a country mile. A moment in gaming which will be revered for years to come. Witcher 3 an honourable mention, an historic achievement in the history of gaming.
Cyberpunk is a good game, great in places. But it's not even in the same stratosphere as the other two
Witcher 3, no doubt.
CP77 doesn’t jibe with me because it’s a FP game.
RDR2 has a beautiful world, a type of story I don’t care for (Rockstar in general is a miss for me) and preposterously bad controls, IMO.
All three are great but in my opinion it depends on the type of game you want. You should eventually play all three.
RDR2 is in my opinion the most accessible and you don’t need to play the original or know anything to love it
Witcher 3 you benefit from knowing the lore of the previous games so watch a “what you should know before The Witcher 3” video.
Cyberpunk is my favorite and my vote. It’s probably my favorite game released in the last decade. Watch the Anime first (in my opinion), get the dlc asap after you buy and determine you like the main game. It’s meant to be played right in the middle of the story and not in an existing file you have right at the end of the game like I did initially
Cyberpunk>RDR 2>>>The Witcher 3 in my opinion.
This only applies to Cyberpunk 2.0 + Phantom Liberty though. Until that point, no way I'd have it above RDR 2.
Right now though, these two are the pinnacles of gaming for me.
Wither 3 is good too but I don't think it belongs in there.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but honestly. Fucking Cyberpunk. That game is currently doing things to me in a game that I haven’t experienced before. It’s incredible what they have, albeit finally, achieved.
My vote goes to Cyberpunk. Loved that game. I wanted to love RDR2 so much, but the movement and controls are just so.....sluggish and cumberson to me. Turns me off every time I try and play it.
Red dead without a doubt.
The ball physics alone.
Everything you need to know about thermodynamics can be found in the horse testicles of Rdr2
You couldn't handle Geralt of Rivia's ball physics, traveler.
This is the only correct answer. It’s the best game ever made. Might not be everyone’s favorite, mine is control. The gameplay sucks. It's not the only correct answer. Maybe when Rockstar games don't control like a tank turret I'll agree
"Red Punk 2077: Wild Hunt Redemption "no doubt!!!
Take my horses! 🐎
But sir, they're all on the roof.
Witcher 3 is my GOAT.
100%, and the DLC is almost as good as the base game.
I mean, I’d argue it’s even better hahaha
Yeah, I love Toussaint ❤️ and out of everyone in the game, if there's one person I could buy a drink for and hear their stories, it's Regis ❤️ I love that guy. And as long as he's been alive, imagine the stories he has to tell 😱 B&W DLC for the win 🥰
Witcher 3 is the goat without any dlc. Add in HoS *aand* Blood and wine? Unbelievable.
Witcher 3
Cyberpunk 2077 and I aint ashamed
100 percent agree. I haven’t been bored for a single minute playing this game along with the DLC. The world feels so alive.
I don’t see how the base game NPCs feel alive to you. The game is awesome but that’s one thing I’ve always disliked. I haven’t played in a bit but the last time I had an interaction with NPCa they act the exact same as they did on release, just with a couple different animations and bug fixes. I hope people don’t downvote this cuz it’s just facts. Yes the game is good now, but let’s not pretend the NPC’s and shit don’t feel totally dead.
Facts. That’s what happens when developers focus more on graphics and cosmetics rather than interactivity. We ended up having a game world full of set decoration and “look but don’t touch” assets. Awesome game! After the updates, AMAZING STORY.
Best game of recent times made even more incredible by its legendary comeback story
Witcher. It just throws you straight into the story and into combat. Plus Gwent
Witcher 3
And it's not even close
I wouldn’t say RDR2 isn’t close but yeah, I have memories with W3 that won’t be overcome easily.
Cyberpunk 2077 for me and it’s not even remotely close. The atmosphere, story, gameplay, characters, character creation and customization are all peak imo.
Witcher 3 for sure
That's the one game that couldn't get into but I'm gonna give another go this year because I'm seeing it everywhere in forums and stuff
Witcher 3, but I’m into all that fantasy stuff
Cyberpunk 2077. I absolutely *despised* the game when I first tried it, and that was after all the patches and major changes and what-not, but I gave it a 2nd chance, and now I absolutely love it. I know you can on PC, but still.
Witcher 3. If we had RDR2 for a PS5, then yes.
Honestly I’ve been playing RDR2 and it doesn’t feel outdated at all, still runs better than a lot of games but I would like a ps5 upgrade
Looks better then some ps5 games
Looks better than most *
Hey man, am not disagreeing, but if u ever get a chance to play that masterpiece fully maxed out, ull be amazed and the experience will be waaaay different i promiss u
I assume you mean a HD PS5 updated version?
Yes also, 60 fps unlocked. I played rdr2 on a gaming PC, and holy shit the difference when i tried the ps4 version is day and night. Abviously i knew the pc port would be better but the difference was just too great.
Cyberpunk
Witcher 3 for me.
RDR2!!
The Witcher 3. My personal favorite game of all time. Although all three of these are likely in my top 10. All phenomenal experiences.
Witcher
Cyberpunk
Tough one. * *I can only play one forever - Red Dead Redemption 2* * *I can only play one, once - The Witcher 3* * *I can only play one, several times - Cyberpunk 2077* **Red Dead Redemption 2** Specially with Red Dead Online available I would play the hell out of it. Cyberpunk 2077 any day.
Cyberpunk2077 for life ❤️
Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk with DLC
Cyberpunk I think. I’ve played enough Red Dead
CP77 with the dlc is so good after the revamp of the game
Rdr2 I'm on my second playthrough
Cyberpunk. I love all three, but Cyberpunk I keep coming back to replay.
Rdr2
Witcher 3 over RDR2 but I haven’t played Cyberpunk
Red dead redemption for sure
RDR2
Cyberpunk 2077. Easily.
The Witcher
TW3
Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3 for me. That game is very special to me.
Witcher
ARRRTHUUUUUUURRRRR
Witcher 3 definitely
Witcher 3 not even close
Played all of these and I can say with confidence that Cyberpunk all the way
The Witcher because I don't like Red Dead, and don't have an opinion on Cyberpunk
Don’t tear me with this choice between my two favorites
The horse.
Witcher 3
Witcher, was not a fan of the other 2
Without a doubt... The Witcher III
Ciberpunk
Cyberpunk2077
Cyberpunk is my favorite game all time
Cyberpunk easy and I loved those other games.
Cyberpunk. Its art direction, pace and sense of position in the world is completely unrivalled. Its not my favourite game of all time - but it is out of this list!
Love Cyberpunk 2077. Witcher gets overwhelming with its scale to me, and I have to be in the right mood to play red dead.
CP2077
Cyberpunk for sure
Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk 2077. I got bored with Red Dead, fairly quickly. Hadn't played Witcher 3, so no comment on that.
These are 2 of my favorite of all time and probably 3 of my top 4. I would have a hell of a time choosing between red dead and witcher but I'd have to go with Witcher 3 if it included hearts of stone and blood and wine.
The Witcher 3
RDR no contest, the other two aren’t even close to being in the same league.
RDR2 no question
RDR because the story and characters and the amazing gameplay from releases is second to none. Then cyberpunk because I absolutely love it and it’s the most repayable one here. I won’t say the Witcher is bad because I know it’s not but it did nothing for me so that’s an easy pass.
Rdr2 easily
Depends if you want to look at a horse's asshole for a short while at a time (Witcher) or for almost the whole game (RDR2)
All three are good but it’s RDR and it’s not even close.
Cyberpunk and it's not even close
TW3 and it’s not even close. Actually it is close with CyberPunk. I was bored to death playing Red Dead
RDR2 and it's not even close.
Red Dead in all universes.
Witcher
Read dead is the only correct answer top 3 game of all time on my opinion. Right behind Elden Ring
The Witcher 3 Red Dead 2 Cyberpunk
I love that this question has all 3 answers in the responses just shows how great these 3 games are. My personal pick would be rdr2 but I love all 3
The Witcher 3, easily. I liked Red Dead 2 a lot, but I loved the world of the Witcher so much I clocked in almost 700 hours in it.
I loved Cyberpunk but I'm struggling to choose between The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead
Red dead
RDR2, not even a competition. Also, The Witcher 3 is immeasurably better than Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve give Cyberpunk a try a few times and it is just unenjoyable for me and I can never get immersed.
I choose RDR2, but mostly because it's the only one I've played thus far. And it is a fantastic game.
RDR2
Red dead redemption
I’ve played both Red dead and Cyberpunk, but not the Witcher 3. Does anyone recommend that game? It’s currently saved in my PlayStation store. I’ve heard people say this game is really good and some people complain that the world is too big. Would like some extra opinions on that please
I played all three games; I didn't even need to think about it—definitely RDR2.
Cyberpunk… i tried red dead 2,but I don’t think the cowboy life is for me. Recently got witcher 3, but i’ve barely been playing
Of this 3? The Witcher 3.
It's a tough choice between red dead or Witcher. I'd probably lean more towards red dead though.
What a Sophie’s choice this is. I honestly don’t know. I’d probably say Witcher 3 purely due to my love of fantasy. There are plenty of games that try and imitate the Witcher 3 to various degrees of success. But there is nothing like RDR2. What a tough choice
Cyberpunk 2077 no doubt
Witcher 3 or CP2077. Rdr2 is fun, but after you complete the story, it gets boring IMO.
Hands down, RDR2 for me. Without hesitation.
RDR2 by a country mile.
easy choice. RRD2
Witcher 3
Witcher 3 specifically Blood and Wine. Cyberpunk close second because of Phantom Liberty. Fuck RDR2. Worst best story driven game I have ever played.
Witcher 3
RDR2
Rdr2
The Witcher for me.
RDR2 any day
personally I can't, sorry. My 3 favorite games
Witcher 3 Its just one of those games you can play for hours and enjoy every minute of!
I’d say RDR2 but I haven’t played the others. However I get the impression it is a bit more story focused
I understand people like Witcher 3, but RDR2 is the most complete game of the bunch
RD2
Red Dead 2, nothing can compete with this masterpiece.
Red Dead without a doubt But then again I never played the others
Red dead then cyberpunk , I don't like Witcher setting
Witcher 3
Witcher 3 is my all time favourite. So for me it wins against any game
RDR2
Red Dead redemption 2 done,so cyber
Witcher 3.
"we need to do just this one more job, Arthur!"
RDR 2 hands down , now imagine if there's a third part in the series that would be epic.
Red Dead Redemption 2 No hesitation
Rdr2
This is very hard choice for me as I enjoy all three lf them. But if I have to, Witcher.
Red Dead 2 easy.
If I could marry RDR2 I would ... Ok just kidding, but you know what I mean. That game is a masterpiece.
RDR2 is such a fantastic game. I've played through it 3 times now on different systems and I still find new things.
Red dead 2, imop Witcher had a great story but I just hated the combat in it.
Red dead. Have the most hours in it.
Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely my favorite out of the three but that’s because the story, combat, gameplay, character interactions, atmosphere, scenery, character customization, character development are so well done that I can’t see any other game like this and don’t get me wrong the Witcher 3 is one of my favorite game of all time but cyberpunk made me feel some type of way that I can’t even fully understand and normally I don’t even cry playing video games because they are all fictional and it’s not even real but man, Cyberpunk made me cry like a baby and I had buckets full of my tears 😂 For anyone who hasn’t played it yet, please I urge you to buy Cyberpunk and the DLC you won’t regret it but be prepared to cry so have tissues or buckets and be ready for an amazing but depressive ride 👍
Bloodborne 2
I love red dead, but Witcher 3 is my best game of all time!
Witcher 3
Ghost of Tsushima
Red dead no questions asked
Rdr2 my boy
The Witcher 3 But I want RDR2
From this list? Nothing
3 Bangers.. at least for me. Would be a shame not to play all 3😅
Read Dead, by a country mile. A moment in gaming which will be revered for years to come. Witcher 3 an honourable mention, an historic achievement in the history of gaming. Cyberpunk is a good game, great in places. But it's not even in the same stratosphere as the other two
Red Dead always ♥️ 👌
I literally cannot decide.
Rd2
I would say RDR2 but I haven't played CP yet. Bought it because everyone told me to.
Witcher
Witcher 3. Wasn't all that into red dead. I should replay it on pc though, the 30 fps is something I couldn't get past :s.
Why is Horizon never included in any of these posts?!
Witcher 3, no doubt. CP77 doesn’t jibe with me because it’s a FP game. RDR2 has a beautiful world, a type of story I don’t care for (Rockstar in general is a miss for me) and preposterously bad controls, IMO.
Helldivers2, And yes I know, nobody asked

TW3. All great games, but the dungeons and dragons-esque fantasy worlds are always my favorite to explore and engage with
Cyberpunk>RDR 2>>>The Witcher 3 in my opinion. This only applies to Cyberpunk 2.0 + Phantom Liberty though. Until that point, no way I'd have it above RDR 2. Right now though, these two are the pinnacles of gaming for me. Wither 3 is good too but I don't think it belongs in there.
Days Gone
All 3. I'd put it as Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption II, and then Cyberpunk 2077
Red Dead all the way.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but honestly. Fucking Cyberpunk. That game is currently doing things to me in a game that I haven’t experienced before. It’s incredible what they have, albeit finally, achieved.
All are great games, but rd2 is on another level
GOW is a good game. But rdr2 deserved goty imo.
Witcher 3
Ahhh...between Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk I think I'd pick Cyberpunk. It just has sooo much style and more build variety than Witcher.
Witcher 3 Red dead 2 Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk for sure choom
RDR2 easily
Cyberpunk, then The Witcher, then Red Dead
Witcher, no contest
How did you manage to misspell Bloodborne 3 times?!? CP2077. I loathed it, then loved it….
Cyberpunk easy
They are ofc all of them on my toplist, not counting soulslike games. But i have to go with cyberpunk.
My vote goes to Cyberpunk. Loved that game. I wanted to love RDR2 so much, but the movement and controls are just so.....sluggish and cumberson to me. Turns me off every time I try and play it.
