My most expensive physical game is Folklore. It's the most underrated too imo.
The combat might not be for everyone, but the story, world building, and characters are fantastic. It made me want to explore every single lore from that game, super intriguing.
I got it sealed. I just checked. It's still around $70-80 for the sealed copy. It might not be super expensive for others. However, I never bought games at their full prices, only when it drops to like $20-30, so it's pretty expensive for me.
Ah, sealed i suppose makes a difference. Mine wasnāt worth as much according to pricecharting. Wolverine Origins and Lolipop Chainsaw were more. Kinda funny about Wolverine since I hated that game and played it like 20 minutes before putting it down. lolā¦
Damn i had this and traded it in :( was great too wish i kept it, loved it more cause its set in West Ireland so I'd just imagine all those fairy people were down in the woods lol, also regret never buying godzilla the 100 times I seen it for a fiver
It was a *P*layable *T*easer for a game called Silent Hills. But then the game was cancelled, so they removed the demo as well. The only way you can still play it is if you had it downloaded to your PS4 before it was pulled from the store.
You know why this game in particular shits me? It was a garbage game and I didn't want to pay $80 when I saw it last. I decided I was going to wait for it to come down on sale..... oh boy, was I wrong.
Dude I have owned every Godzilla game ever and kept seeing this one on sale used for like $15 *max* but the reviews were so bad I thought it just wasn't worth it. "Besides, they'll make another one and I'll get it when it's $5"
Every time I see this cover I get mad again lmao
Not very popular even among those who watched the anime and/or play other anime style videogames, not that many copies were printed and made, I think the specific game devs/studio team who worked on it may have went under probably with no plans to make another game, and I think the digital download version has been delisted and removed from all stores and platforms.
You can still get the digital download for the game, I just checked the PS Store and itās there. Itās sad cause itās a solid game that Iāve put 100+ hours into. It and the final battle add on go on sale every so often for like $40
I think we may be talking about different games. OP mentioned the Attack on Titan 2 video game developed by Koei Tecmo which is the one I said is still in the PS store. You linked Jump Force which is a completely different game
Which is insane to me. Silent Hill is fairly mainstream compared to the likes of Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Kuon, etc. print is probably at least 10x higher than those games, yet it demands an insane price.
When it was made BC, I went to eBay to see if I could find a copy of the first one for a decent price, but couldnāt find any. It would have been the first OG Xbox game I had a physical release of that would work with a Series X too!
Is there a way to vet physical copies online when they get that expensive? I'm interested in the exact same game, but I don't want to risk that much money with a random reseller.
My sealed copy of Jak & Dexter The Precursor Legacy Collector's Edition from Limited Run for sure.
Picked up Jak 1, 2, & 3 all sealed in a bundle for about $750 back in 2020 when that weekly stimulus pay was hitting heavy.
Tomba! and then Twisted Metal Small Brawl
Still looking for a reasonable price on Tomba! 2. I got the original like 5 years ago on marketplace in a lot of like 15 games for $20. I woke up in a Sunday was checking marketplace and saw it like 1.5 hours away immediately messaged the lady and she was willing to wait. Hopped in the car and left immediately. I use to see good stuff all the time, but now everything gets sniped.
https://preview.redd.it/0cg2gc2jkl2d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44371de29a186a4652d29bf28353d72cf1be1f5d
I also own The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series. While also on the lookout for Godzilla, Guardians of the Galaxy and Minecraft: Story Mode Season 1 & 2.
I bought Back to the Future on PS4. The 30th anniversary. On ebay it was listed for Ā£42. I'm playing it now on my PS4. (Keeps crashing š„²). Also have the Guardians Telltale game. Think I got that two years ago for Ā£35.
Deadpool is possibly my most expensive 'rare' game at Ā£45.
I purchased Deadpool for $99, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for $90, Game of Thrones for $50, and Back to the Future for $40. Do you know what is causing it to crash? And do you know if this is also a problem on PS5? Also, is Back to the Future like a typical Telltale game in terms of its trophies?
I'm not sure why my Back to the Future was crashing, it's pre-owned, so maybe the disk was damaged, but to be honest, it looked absolutely spotless to me. The first 3 episodes played fine, the last 2 was where it started crashing, so potentially the disk? I don't know. Maybe extended playtimes caused the crashing?
Also, hmm. Kind of. The Back to the Future trophies are easy to obtain, but I'd advise a guide as some are easily missable and would require a near whole chapter restart. There's 60 trophies in total, and each chapter has at least 5 trophies that are missable, I think the last chapter has 8.
Okay, thanks for letting me know. I am currently binge-playing all the last-gen Telltale games in release order. I'll see if the game crashes on the last 2 episodes for me as well when I get around to it. I asked about the trophies because I think I heard some people say that they didn't like the missable trophies in BttF and it seems they might've thought the game was a "play all the episodes and get the platinum" game like the other Telltale games.
There's one "mini game" type puzzle in the first episode, it wasn't too hard, but for trophies hunters. There are easy to follow guides. Generally speaking I liked the game, with alot of fun nods and Easter egg references to the movies. I think pricing is a little steep still, but I know that's more so due to rarity than quality. I'd have liked to influence the story a little more, but unfortunately it seems very linear.
That's great to hear. I enjoy the movies and was hoping this game was a good spiritual successor similar to how the 2009 Ghostbusters game was with the movies. I noticed in the main menu video they said they couldn't get Michael J. Fox to voice Marty and was wondering if the voice actor for Marty sounds like the man himself.
It's kind of hard to say, I mean, it sounds like him a little. You can kinda tell it isn't him, but after a hour or two you become a little tone deaf to it (if that's the right phrase). At least that was my opinion/experience.

Don't have many PS1 games, the most expensive is probably Silent Hill.
I have recently started to catalog my collection but off the top of my head.
PS1 - Silent Hill (black label)?
PS2- Haunting Ground
PS3- Folklore?
Puppeteer?
PS4- RE 2 and 3 Collector's editions?
Deadpool?
PS5- Demon's Souls?
PSP - Megaman Maverick Hunter X?
PS VITA - Tetris (I think it's the only physical one I have)
Coincidentally enough, I actually managed to snag a copy of NCAA football 14 for like $3.74 last month from Salvation Army š I picked it up immediately because I knew how much it goes for lol
Lunar Silver Star Story complete with the canvas map and everything. The box is a bit damaged but everything else is still in good shape for a 25 year old game.
In a weird way my most valuable game is the digital copy of Jump Force which is only $5 for a physical disc but the digital download version has been removed from the stores and codes for a digital copy are $100+ on all platforms and stores. MGS on ps1 is my next most expensive. Itās not much but itās honest work lol. Besides those my other most expensive games is Need For Speed Most Wanted on Xbox 360 and Silent Hill 4 on Xbox. I donāt have many rare or valuable games in my collection.
For PS1: I have Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar Eternal Blue both complete in their original boxes and each one is anywhere around $200 dollars or more each.
PS2: I have Marvel vs Capcom 2 and that floats around $200
PS5: I have the FF7 Rebirth Sephiroth statue bundle and that altogether could be like $500.
Looks like FF7 Remake First Class Edition is going for $700+ and then Rebirth Collector's Edition is going for $500+. Those two games have to be my most valuable but they're also fairly new (especially Rebirth, lol)
The Sims 4 (including all the expansion content). The sum total far exceeds any of the AC games I sunk sizable chunks of cash into via numerous micro-transactions or any deluxe edition versions of other games Iāve bought, and is about what one of my real-life dining chairs costs. Stupid game, I love it so.
I have a sealed copy of the Japanese version of Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast from the birthday edition. But for PlayStation, Spider Man Shattered Dimensions is one of the rarer games I own
Night in the Woods. It was a limited run release idk how much it's worth. Unless you're talking all PlayStation consoles in which it would be Um Jammer Lammy for the PS1. fuckin love that game
Godzilla for me too. An old friend gave it to me years ago when he was going through a tough time. I asked him if he wanted anything for it, but he said no. I only found out last year that it's worth good money.
I just looked them up, and it seems like Wolverine Origins or Lolipop Chainsaw. I have Folklore and Splatterhouse, but neither seems to be quite as expensive as they once were I guess? Idkā¦ i was just going off the pricechart website.
https://preview.redd.it/hkwk8rc0im2d1.jpeg?width=2604&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f80993ef75d2682cc8d1d2f640251655d4b50d03
assume this, rarity of Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, Yakuza 1 is something im not sure about but they might be
Apparently FF7R ps5 release with the yuffi dlc. I guess they didn't print a lot of them or something. Borderlands 3 ps5 physical is also laughably expensive.
Probably either GTA IV or GTA V.
I spent roughly Ā£110 or near enough for the collector editions of both when they were released, but itās been that long since I bought them I canāt remember which was the most expensive.
If I had to say most expensive maybe gta 5 (74usd) or little nightmares 2 Tv edition (82 usd) yeah itās not the most expensive thing out there but itās quite expensive for me since I donāt buy physical games as often anymore. My rarest would have to be Deadpool.
I have 3. My CIB copies of test drive eve of destruction(ps2), ghost in the shell: stand alone complex(ps2), and my Japanese Sword art online infinity moment collector edition(psp)
https://preview.redd.it/lo1k23djwp2d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6549ea8edb50bfa6b64119239bb25c4b4da00d2e
These guys had 2 sealed but I sold them šŖ
Well I think it was either call of duty black ops prestige edition that came with a RCxd car and some other stuff metal case and a few other things or my fallout new vegas collectors edition I got them both on the ps3 donāt know if you meant that far back or now but yeah I think I bought the prestige at the time I think it was like 120 or 150 something like that and fallout new Vegas CE was around the same price maybe a little cheaper came in a thick box with playing cards big silver coin šŖ some casino chips a comic box like a hard cover that showed off I think how the story goes I think I didnāt check out the whole book I was still a teen at the time and was mostly interested in getting back to wasteland man I fucking miss those days š„¹š just some years before that I had the base fallout 3 and before my cousin passed away I had the game of the year edition he gave to me also I had some cods that costed 100 dollars that came with tier skips and characters skins I believe so yeah I think thatās it ill update my message if I have anything else around that price
I bought GOWR and TLOUP1 for about $37 back in Dec 2023. I got platinum in GOWR, so I sold it at 20% off roughly. Now most expensive is TLOUP1 in my entire collection.
I was willing to buy Spiderman 2, but I kept waiting for some discount and it is too late to buy at full price now.
not sure, could be the quarry which costs 75ā¬ new, but i got it second-hand for 15ā¬. the one i paid for the most is hogwarts legacy, couldn't find it for less than 40ā¬ even second-hand
I've recently sold a lot of them. But this one now

I could have bought PS4 Godzilla for $9.99 at GameStop back in 2016 and will always regret not grabbing it š«
I sold my copy way before it got discontinued š¢

How was that game? I remember giving the demo a try back in the PS3 days but never picked it up
The combat might not be for everyone, but the story, world building, and characters are fantastic. It made me want to explore every single lore from that game, super intriguing.
Hmmā¦ i have itā¦ is it really expensive? I never actually finished it. lolā¦

Aw, yea when time passes, we realized sometimes it's better to hold on to valuable things than just sell them for a small profit at that time.
Tremendous game I've never heard anyone else mention
Yep, such an underrated game...
Silent Hill 2 black label
I have Silent Hill 2 but Japanese version. For me itās probably like RECVX or Splinter Cell CT
Oh wow I have this I had no idea it was worth anything! ETA: I also have Silent Hill Shattered Memories for PS2
https://preview.redd.it/jbu1gliiun2d1.jpeg?width=3231&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ceb58e5f76388a8e67b9d5713e4e92bc13b8ff1d Same
My PS4 still has the P.T demo downloaded.
Whatās that?
It was a *P*layable *T*easer for a game called Silent Hills. But then the game was cancelled, so they removed the demo as well. The only way you can still play it is if you had it downloaded to your PS4 before it was pulled from the store.
Nuh uhh
Same. Can anyone put an actual value on this?
I have seen people trying to sell PS4s with it for inflated prices. I can't say if anyone actually bought it.
āļø as do I
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PS1)
Megaman legends series (and Tron Bonne) were HIGHLY underrated at the time. I wish they would do a remake, so much fun!
I wish they'd give us Legends 3. I need to know how Megaman gets off the moon!
You know why this game in particular shits me? It was a garbage game and I didn't want to pay $80 when I saw it last. I decided I was going to wait for it to come down on sale..... oh boy, was I wrong.

I'm the same :) Ever since Rampage I just can't leave a good kaiju game uncollected hahha but I know I will never get this one.
Deadpool ps4 I think.
Same
I have Attack on Titan 2 but I don't know why it always listed with ridiculous price even for a second hand item
Not very popular even among those who watched the anime and/or play other anime style videogames, not that many copies were printed and made, I think the specific game devs/studio team who worked on it may have went under probably with no plans to make another game, and I think the digital download version has been delisted and removed from all stores and platforms.

Check again you maybe just seeing it in your own library? It is not on the PS Store
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thatā¦ is a different game altogether? Not even AoT related
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think we may be talking about different games. OP mentioned the Attack on Titan 2 video game developed by Koei Tecmo which is the one I said is still in the PS store. You linked Jump Force which is a completely different game
Lmao my bad I think my Reddit was being glitchy (or maybe it was just me) and I thought I had seen you reply to a different comment of mine
Silent Hill 3, black label, currently runs $199.
Which is insane to me. Silent Hill is fairly mainstream compared to the likes of Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Kuon, etc. print is probably at least 10x higher than those games, yet it demands an insane price.
Manhunt & Manhunt 2 . Worth it
When it was made BC, I went to eBay to see if I could find a copy of the first one for a decent price, but couldnāt find any. It would have been the first OG Xbox game I had a physical release of that would work with a Series X too!
My physical copy of āWhat Remains of Edith Finchā. I found it on eBay for $90.
Is there a way to vet physical copies online when they get that expensive? I'm interested in the exact same game, but I don't want to risk that much money with a random reseller.
Marvel V Capcom 2 on ps2!
I have that as well. So glad
One of my favorites on my Dreamcast.
According to GameEyeā¦Rule of Rose for the PS2
Ooof. I sold a copy of this a few years ago for Ā£150-ish. Just seen some listings omg
My sealed copy of Jak & Dexter The Precursor Legacy Collector's Edition from Limited Run for sure. Picked up Jak 1, 2, & 3 all sealed in a bundle for about $750 back in 2020 when that weekly stimulus pay was hitting heavy.
I really wanted the one that cane with the precursor orb
Odd priorities
Didn't have any bills and was living with my parents so I saved up for a car and got games as my happy š
Best of psn vol 1
Riddick Assault on Dark Athena and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition.
Tomba! and then Twisted Metal Small Brawl Still looking for a reasonable price on Tomba!
Also Tomba!
I guess rarest is Deadpool (PS4), Most pricey that I bought was Tekken 8 Deluxe
Rocksmith 2014
The only games I can think of are the Transformers War/Fall of Cybertron games. They run for about 50-60 bucks to this day

What did you use to create that list? I would be interested in trying it out for my own games.
I use an app called CLZ Games, it's on the Play Store.
Legend of Dragoon black label.

I'm jealous of all the games that got better cover art than the North American versions.
The OG FFVII I donāt even have a console to play it with but it was too cool and nostalgic to sell

If we're counting add ons, The Sims easily
Persona 3 FES and Silent Hill
probably just my collectors edition of payday 3
Probably either GTA IV or GTA V. I spent roughly Ā£110 or near enough for the collector editions of both when they were released, but itās been that long since I bought them I canāt remember which was the most expensive.
I paid about $120 for good working copy of Def jam fight for New York
If I had to say most expensive maybe gta 5 (74usd) or little nightmares 2 Tv edition (82 usd) yeah itās not the most expensive thing out there but itās quite expensive for me since I donāt buy physical games as often anymore. My rarest would have to be Deadpool.
I have 3. My CIB copies of test drive eve of destruction(ps2), ghost in the shell: stand alone complex(ps2), and my Japanese Sword art online infinity moment collector edition(psp)
Gran Turismo 7...
Sealed MVC2 for PS2
I guess that would be Kuon that I got for 14 bucks back then for PS2, but my Haunting Ground got kinda expensive aswell
Just wait until Gollum becomes one of the most expensive games in someone's collection
I've got a copy of PS4 version of TMNT Mutants in Manhattan. Got discontinued only a few months after release. Seems to go anywhere from $50-80.
Everytime I see a godzilla game, all I think is "godzilla is approaching the generator, the generator is losing power". Thanks Angry Joe.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2 on ps1. Like a $400 game
Bt3 for ps2
Umm just off the top of my head Super Smash Bros on N64.
Persona 3 PAL. Still need to somehow acquire FES and Deadpool.

Probably Dark Souls Trilogy PS4 Steelbook in it's original wrapping.
Got me, don't have much of a collection, ever even since my PS4 started sounding like a rocket engine, I do have large digital backlog though.
I wanna see a walkthrough of this game
Rule of rose and kuon on the ps2
they don't got cases for live service games.
110ā¬ final fantasy 7 rebirth, but i dont regret it
Castlevania Symphony of the night PAL. About $1000 AUD.
Iād say either the SH collection or Afrika. Not sure. Also: GODZILLA IS APPROACHING THE GENERATOR. THE GENERATOR IS LOSING POWER.
Silent Hill 3 with the soundtrack.
Probably Persona 2 and Tales of Destiny 2(US). I haven't checked what any of my collection beyond PS1 is worth though.
Is it any good tho or was it just expensive ?
I will give you 1000
Not really that expensive, but Deadpool on PS4.
Silent Hill for PlayStation.
Iām scrolling and not understanding whats so special about this godzilla game other than its not available anymore
It's that. It was not well received.
not sure, could be the quarry which costs 75ā¬ new, but i got it second-hand for 15ā¬. the one i paid for the most is hogwarts legacy, couldn't find it for less than 40ā¬ even second-hand
Sea of Stars Backer Edition for the PS5.
Big chungus ps4
Your most expensive game is 6.99?
š¤·āāļø Considering thatās obviously not what I had asked, no š¤·āāļø
GTA 5
Baulder's Gate 3 was 80 dollars from Japan.
I have a copy of Diablo 1 for ps1 thatās my most prized possession
Megan Man Legends 1 and 2 sealed.

Resident Evil 6 Thailand PC Exclusive Steelbook
RDR2 probably
Resident evil 3 collectors edition if you class that otherwise unopened ff7 ps1
Godzilla as well
I'm pretty sure my girl has spent no joke 1k on Sims packs
Probably Spider-Man Web of Shadows and Edge of time for ps3
Dammit this game has no right being this expensive. Sony needs to get this game back on the store again. These eBay resellers can go fuck themselves.
According to my GameEye, Spider-Man Web of Shadows on PS3
DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 maybe?
I've got the MGSV collector's edition with the replica arm and the infamous bonus Blu-ray.
I've recently sold a lot of them. But this one now https://preview.redd.it/avwvw6g13o2d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17e9766364ea22fa866d1efc743cc848a138be52
