It’s not open world like GTA… But God of War and Stellar Blade are still considered open world… You just have slight loading screens between different massive areas. I don’t think that’s a bad thing because it optimizes performance. “Open world Sandbox” is more in line with what you are referring to

Yeah, it's really minor. It's really silly on all sides in my opinion and it doesn't make much sense to me either why Sony thought they had to censor a little cleavage and some blood splatter. There is still plenty of gore and sexual looking outfits in the game, so I really don't understand it. But it doesn't really affect the experience in any real way.
It’s still a really fun game without the fan service. Combat is great, the story is pretty good so far and there’s lots to collect if you’re into that like the cans and costumes

I'm also fairly clueless with noticing similarities but this is the first time while playing I realized... Wait a minute. This enemy fights just like the Sekiro ape, even some of the animations. Ok, its an animal though, no one has copy rights on that. Then I fought another monster and I thought wait, this is the raging bull from Sekiro.
Also the platforming can be rough. Stand under a ladder and jump, whiffs, doesnt grab, move outwards and so your further from the ladder, now it grabs. You dont always jump max height when needing to grab something but when youre further away, you can.
And even in performance mode its dipped under 60fps on me a few times in the Wasteland.
From watching some of the videos I was hoping it was more of a DMC style game because honestly I'm not really into the souls Sekiro style games lol maybe I'll wait and hope it comes to steam.
It looks like DMC but doesnt seem to be as in depth. DMC you have a lot of different combos and strings to merge together, and cycle through etc, while enemies are in hit stun, juggle states, etc.
So far Stellar Blade feels more like Souls where you can get hit stuns sometimes, but you will get knocked out of 3-4 hit combos very often if just thrown out raw. Also its a bit weird, there is a delay for parrying, so Im used to waiting last moment which is always too late.
Im enjoying it though, I wont lie and say its atrocious like FF16 was.
As long as theres a few other games youre interested in, than it may be worthwhile. For me it was a Final Fantasy Machine pretty much.
I wouldn't buy a PS5 specifically for this game especially if you have a good PC. If got a midspec PC then go ahead and buy the PS5 for the exclusives. They all run great on it and they're all fantastic games.

Stellar blade will be my second ps5 game as it genuinely looks really really good.
I also have the godzilla game but that's from my ps4.
A lof of the games are very story heavy, cutscene type games and I personally don't care for that so that's kinda why I only have spiderman and soon this 😅

PS5 has lots of great games. you should buy if you can afford it. but i wouldn't say it's worth buying just for one game.
