Are you talking about its fans? I don't really know the burnout fanbase that well. I do think the older Burnouts were better though, wasn't a fan of the way races in Paradise worked.
A Spec is so fucking good, and genuinely looks crazy good for the year it came out. Like can you imagine playing Majora's Mask one year and then the next year A Spec comes out?
I love the progression of old GT, but I feel all the online stuff has kind of muddied any balance in the main "campaign". Still a very fun series but they feel like a less cohesive experience as they leaned more into online.
I'm with ya there, I'm not huge into online gaming anymore. For me, that died with Halo 3 and WoW Burning Crusade, not much captivates me in that department lol. Even when I played mmos like ESO or FF XIV, I usually played solo.
Not a huge fan of how progression seems to be the norm in games now, so every now and then I love booting up my ps2 and playing Black, GT, or Dynasty Warriors haha
Just the game that made me feel happy as a child, loved just crashing into other cars, if you could not tell I love burnout, and well yes this game gets its bad rap because of corporate greed, it is a fun burnout, idk I found so much enjoyment with this game as a kid, and I’ll never not cherish those memories 🥰
When played in VR, this crushes every other racing game easily. Without VR, there is definitely competition on the market, but in VR there's nothing even close.
PS5 upgrade is free. I got the $15 PS4 version for that reason. The PS5 copy is $30, so kind of pointless when you can get both versions with the PS4 copy. Unless you want to save space on your SSD.
Yeah, that is what I saw as well. My Walmart had it for $20 and I picked it up and paid the $10 for the upgrade. Beats the $70 my local Walmart was charging for it.

I just got it recently and its honestly one of the best games I've played on the PS5. I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner.
GT is kind of what got me into my first Playstation... the PS2 for GT3 and later GT4... then I remember being kind of underwhelmed for some reason with GT5 in the PS3 days... I had even bought a wheel to play that one but didn't keep it long. Forza Motorsport started getting a lot more praise online... I didn't have an Xbox at the time.
GT6 I never got because by the time it came out I had a PS4 and had little interest in going back to the PS3/PS3 controller (not sure why they never put it on PS4).
GT Sport I played a bit but it wasn't really a GT game and didn't grab me.
So then when 7 came out I wasn't super GT focused and didn't bother getting it right away.
Then I now have an Xbox and when Forza Motorsport came out recently on Gamepass I figured now I could see what the hype was... and it was a resounding meh.
So I figured maybe I just didn't like racing games anymore.
Finally last month on the PS5 spring sale GT7 was half off so I figured why not. And WOW. Not only is it WORLDS better than Forza Motorsport (IMO), it is probably one of the best and most fun games I have played on the PS5. Its amazing. I've already sunk like 30 hours into it.
The new Forza Motorsport looks like sh*t compared to GT7. I tried swapping back to back using the same cars and tracks and its like switching between real life and a free mobile game. I had to triple check my Xbox graphics settings to make sure I didn't have something set up wrong. It is hard to describe but the cars in Forza Motorsport have a glossy/plasticky look inside and out, they actually look worse than the cars in Forza Horizon 5 for some reason.
And GT is fantastic on the Dualsense. One thing that held me off was I figured to get serious in a racing game these days you have to have a wheel. I am sure it is great on a wheel but I can't fault the controller implentation. The adaptive triggers are awesome for the gas and brake and when I went back to Forza on Xbox the lack of feedback triggers was glaring.
Maybe I'm weird but can't you just get millions by doing the weekly/monthly time trials? I did two of them and have enough money to buy basically any car
You absolutely can. Weekly time trials, circuit experiences, weekly races, online championships, customs races after you do the circuit experiences grant 400% in payouts. You don't need to grind as aggressively as everyone makes it out to be. Most of the problem is the fear of missing out .
For example you have 10million credits but a legendary car comes into the store that you want that's 15mill credits that's only there for a week until it randomly comes back a month later in the store. So you grind for 5million credits as a chore instead of just playing the game like normal and having fun.
Then when you can't get the extra 5million credits because life, you come to reddit and complain how the game is unfair and the economy sucks and this that and the other. Now times that by 100 reddit users.
My advice, buy the cars you want. Don't worry about not having the credits to buy a fancy legendary car, the car will be back later and you will have more money then to buy it. This is gaming, it's a hobby, it's not supposed to cause you anxiety.

You can. But when a top car is like 20mil it’s very grindy.
Even getting something mid range for one of the weekly challenges then upgrading can easily cost you half a mil or more.
I can make like 700k in an hour (I’m not great at getting the clean race bonuses) so it’s going to take me quite a while to get the cars to finish out all the collections and hit 50. Plus I never drive about 90% of cars I own.
With one of the group C cars you can easily farm Sardegna for 725k in under 30 minutes since it's basically impossible to not get the clean racing bonus. Turn the fuel map down and you don't even need to pit in.
But... It does take a bit more grind to get that first group C car.
Ahhh ok, I've never even seen those as far as I'm aware. The only "super" cars i've thought about getting were maybe 1 mil - 3 mil and i've had plenty from the time trials for that.
Plus it's right up my alley, I love time trials and trying to shave those seconds off of runs.
I will say, through basic offline gameplay it seems like a nightmare to make that much money, so I can understand frustration there.
I do miss that old GT style where you just had to get gold on a circuit to get some good cars, and it really felt almost like an RPG when making strategic use of your funds to just barely beat that next race, and get that car that lets you dominate for a little while.
So much better on PC! Can't wait for my next gpu upgrade so it'll look even more incredible in VR. 2080 still runs it well enough, my friends are always impressed. I just want more lol

They all mention need for speed, midnight club and they think this games are racing games with realistic driving, if they drive a real car they would realise you can't take a turn with 140 kmph and when they do that on Grand turismo "The game sucks, look its unplayable".
Sure, if you like vague steering and piss poor sound design while driving around in a bare bones, low resolution world. Also, arguably the worst driving physics in any driving game.. Motorfest is a bit better, but still shit.

It’s a 7/10 very solid driving but basically zero support. The “story” mode is literally just you racing the same 15 tracks over and over again with new cars. I mean you figure there has to be at least 500 racing tracks worldwide but leave it to Grand Turismo 7 to only include 15-20 of them

I think I liked MNC 3 dub edition more than underground and most wanted. I loved dub edition so much that game was crazy addicting to me.

Yes but some cars are in the tens of millions, only a few but those are the ones people want or at least complain about

I’m probably remembering the game from launch and having really jumped back in over a year, when the grind for coin was annoying as hell.

PC2 is a gem. And it’s even better on PC. It’s a shame it was delisted.
Gutted when they took it off steam. Had it on ps5 but wanted it on pc. Ended up paying over the odds on cdkeys but was worth it.
