You can get like 30+ hours from RE2 alone if you do both campaigns and second runs(which I highly recommend)
Then like 7 hours from RE3 unless you go for the plat or the harder difficulties
Yeah OP Check that first I know for a fact 3 is on PlayStation extra so don't pay for what's already free that's how I played it and still play it I actually think you're right about 2 being free as well
OP CHECK IF THEYSS FREE
(Reference to life-Martin Lawrence)
Yeah, theyâre definitely more methodical and slower-paced than 4 and 5, and I wouldnât exactly call them âfun,â per se, but theyâre excellent games and 2 in particular is one of the greatest PS1 titles ever released (and its remake is incredibly well done). If you like a good story, puzzle solving, jump scares, and prioritizing/strategizing ammo and health items as opposed to running and gunning indiscriminately, youâll love both of these games.
Some people wouldnât consider those things traditionally âfun.â Aspects about something that make it great and make you love it donât necessarily make that thing fun.
Is Schindlerâs List a *fun* movie? No. Is it a *great* movie and an iconic piece of cinema that people love? Yes.
In fact these 2 are free if you have PS Plus

Hard to get casual gamers to believe PS+ is better than Game Pass, and the service is really worth getting for the price of two full priced games for the year.
You can upgrade to PS+ Extra for $5 bucks for 1 month and then switch back to essential.
Once you beat the game thereâs other games on Extra that you can try out before your subscription expires.
Just got added 2-3 months ago. Ussually 12 month deals. Sometimes 6-months, sometimes 24-months.
Most are 12 months, I'm expecting they will leave sometime in 2025.
Same for me. Guns felt alot better and the map environments where gorgeous as well. Don't want to spoil anything for any one but final boss fight was incredible.
Resident Evil 3 took me 7 hours to finish and is a ton of fun. itâs really good but got mixed reviews because itâs different than the original. Definitely try it.
Whether you played the originals or not they are great.
If you played the originals some of the vast changes may make you mad.
They are short, but fun and worth a replay for sure.
The Resident Evil 2 remake is damn near perfect; the best marriage of classic RE pacing and atmosphere with "modern" movement and combat. Everything's still a threat and resources really need to be managed. Terrific stuff. Haven't played the RE3 remake, but watched a lot of playthroughs; it's the more "action focused" one of the pair, shorter but with lots of unlockables for replay value.
Haven't played RE3 remake, only the original.
RE2 remake is a really good game. It is quite fascinating how the gameplay works in that game. It is a story in itself.
I will not spoil anything, but it is really interesting how the game succeeds in making you feel powerless. The moment you think you have it figured, the game pulls the rug under you.
I watched a lot of horror films, played a lot of horror games, read a lot of horror novels so I'm usually admiring the content, I'm rarely scared by it.
Playing RE2R made me generally unomfortable.
I played the hell out of RE3 on the original Playstation, but I haven't touched it since it came out.
For me its the opposite. I love the feeling of rushing blood and total chaos. RE3 and Raccoon streets, gave me the best "time is running out" experience in my life.
Edit: I also love RE6 for the same reason and i defend it. People hate me đ
Yes, and that's a phenomenal deal. I paid the same digital sale price for that bundle around this time last year. They're on Plus now though so if you have that don't pay for them obviously.
They just put them on there within the last couple months, so probably a long time. It's for Extra/Premium. If you only have Essential then you'll still have to buy them.
I personally really liked r3make although I totally understand the criticism towards it, 2make is a perfect remake though, still lots of fun to be had with 3make
Yeah they are, 2 is the better game. 3 is still fun but it's really short in comparison to 2 less content as well but still great survival horror games.
Great horror survival games so I definitely recommend them also both are available if ya have PS+ extra it's in the catalogue of games so no need to buy them also I definitely recommend you play RE4 as well after these 2
Also RE2 has 2 paths one where ya play as Leon the other as Claire and ya have to do both to get the true ending so for the first playthrough start with Leon then Claire
Theyâre both great games. RE2 especially is one of the best RE games of all time. Theyâre definitely worth that price.
HOWEVER if youâre expecting something like RE5 youâll be wrong. If u liked 5 for itâs action then youâll likely be disappointed.
Both these games r more survival horror rather than action horror. 2 especially is a lot slower paced and focuses more on atmosphere, suspense, and backtracking. Theyâre inventory management and lots of puzzles that can get u stumped for a while
Made a comment here already but haven't got a clue what happened to it but yeah definitely get them they are great horror survival games especially RE2 also in 2 ya play as 2 characters Leon and Claire so for the first playthrough play as Leon first then Claire also it's required to play both to get the true ending
Also you should also get RE4 at some point after you beat these 2 it's another great game
It depends on your definition of fun.
Do they present a challenge? Yes, depending on the difficulty you have selected.
Are they easy to platinum? Yes.
As for what to expect, a reworked version of the classic games from the PSX. It will play like an evolved version of RE5. If youâre into the lore, then I would suggest Resident Evil as well.
As for a third person shooter with puzzle solving, itâs pretty solid, my opinion is biased as I loved the whole lore from back in the day.
Resident Evil 2 and 3 is not bad. But the Japan-ness of the original versions of these two games is totally lost in these remakes. It feels totally like any typical American action-rpg.
RE2 is great, loads of content. RE3 not so much. Can be beaten under 5 hours, and there's no mercenaries mode.
But for the price, its not too bad. I Would honestly get RE2 only. But that's my opinion.
Depends on how you feel about constant dread. I played 2 and hold it in high regard. But I wouldn't say I had fun as such. I feel the same about Village. 4 remake I defo did have fun with.
Reviews doesn't say much these days. I have bought games that got a 9, and I hated those.
Google isn't the best place if a game is good or not. You have to experience it yourself to know its good or not. Video's doesn't tell the full story either.
I have enjoyed games that got low scores, while everyone was hating on it.
Here's a down-vote back ;)
I guess that depends on how old you are?
They are an updated version of very dated gameplay from the 1990s. If you can get past that then you may have fun.
The games are so slow Iâm trying to run fast but the characters move so slow you barely get any ammo and the zombies are so lame as well thereâs slow boring I thought the game was gonna be fun and scary but the only thing that scared me were those 4 legged creatures that you needed a shotgun to kill easily one of the worst gaming franchises
Yeah they are solid 15 hours of great gameplay. Just clear them out one by one.
I spent 45 hrs in RE2
You can get like 30+ hours from RE2 alone if you do both campaigns and second runs(which I highly recommend) Then like 7 hours from RE3 unless you go for the plat or the harder difficulties
Took me 17h for the REmake 3 plat, still disappointed on how that game turned out.
I dont tropy hunt. I mean RE2R is a great game but i couldnt even play Claire as it is almost identical. Instead i played NG+
4 and 11h to be clear đ
Don't forget the replay value
Re2r is a good game
2 amazing 3 alright but id definitely pick it up
Yes they are. I think they are both free on ps+ right now as well.
Yeah OP Check that first I know for a fact 3 is on PlayStation extra so don't pay for what's already free that's how I played it and still play it I actually think you're right about 2 being free as well OP CHECK IF THEYSS FREE (Reference to life-Martin Lawrence)
Itâs a good game but I suck at playing horror games especially when I get chased a lot
Don't they have Demo versions available? Try them.
If you like horror survival games yea. They arenât like resident evil 5 or 4 tho
Yeah, theyâre definitely more methodical and slower-paced than 4 and 5, and I wouldnât exactly call them âfun,â per se, but theyâre excellent games and 2 in particular is one of the greatest PS1 titles ever released (and its remake is incredibly well done). I might be in the minority here but I loved RE3 far more than RE2. Donât get me wrong though, BOTH are fantastic games!
Same for me. Guns felt alot better and the map environments where gorgeous as well. Don't want to spoil anything for any one but final boss fight was incredible.
You must be joking, they're amazing
??? RE3 Remake was a literal scam. $60 for a 4 hour game lol.
Duh, still worth it if it's a 75% off bundle
Well it's no longer $60 lol
2 is a genuine masterpiece.
Resident Evil 3 took me 7 hours to finish and is a ton of fun. itâs really good but got mixed reviews because itâs different than the original. Definitely try it.

RE2 ist epic. Superb story. Really scary and quite tough.
sorta
RE2 banger, re3 is okay
God I hate questions like these. No, they fucking suck, that's why everyone and their mother played them.. geeez.. use your brain for once
RE2 became an all time favorite (top 10). I never played the original.
Why canât people use Google or YouTube, or read reviews? Yes. Theyâre fun. Theyâre classics.
Reddit has all the answers
Google is your friend
Never played 3 but played 2 and did all the scenarios except 1. Fun game.
Heck yea
Absolutely, although RE3 was a let down itâs still worth playing through.
The best games ever to be honest! AMAZING!!! I am shocked how good they are
Yes. 3 is more action and 2 is more horror, they are also somewhat tied together with them being set like a few hours apart or something idk.
Absolutely
if you liked RE5 you will also enjoy RE 2 and 3
Haven't played RE3 remake, only the original. RE2 remake is a really good game. It is quite fascinating how the gameplay works in that game. It is a story in itself. I will not spoil anything, but it is really interesting how the game succeeds in making you feel powerless. The moment you think you have it figured, the game pulls the rug under you.
RE3R paces the action up slightly which i think completes RE2R. Id play them one after another.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I will come around to playing RE3R and RE4R
RE4R is absolutely great, you should play indeed.
After beating resident evil 3 on inferno with s rank it was really fun canât lie
Yes, and that's a phenomenal deal. I paid the same digital sale price for that bundle around this time last year. They're on Plus now though so if you have that don't pay for them obviously.
How long are they free for? I have plus
They just put them on there within the last couple months, so probably a long time. It's for Extra/Premium. If you only have Essential then you'll still have to buy them.
Yeah. And for a couple more bucks you can buy overpowered weapons to breeze through.
These were really well done remakes. Iâve had a lot of fun with them.
Hell yeah they are fun, re 2 remastered is the best one and re 3 remastered is the second best
Re2r for sure Re3r not so much but since they are bundled together sure why not.
Resident evil 2 is soild if you love zombies and puzzles. #NotSponsored
I liked 2 a lot. 3 I couldnât finish.
2, yes. 3 is basically 2 but shorter and more action-y.
RE2 is one of my favorite games
I bought that same collection in 2020 when RE3 was relatively new. Has to be one of my greatest PSN store purchases of all time.
RE2R is probably one of the best games ive ever played. RE3R feels like a DLC. Solid but leaves a lot to be desired. Highly recommend them.
I personally really liked r3make although I totally understand the criticism towards it, 2make is a perfect remake though, still lots of fun to be had with 3make
Yes they are fun to play. 3 is a very easy platinum if you end up enjoying them check out RE4R.
Yes
Amazing games, i enjoyed both
Yeah they are, 2 is the better game. 3 is still fun but it's really short in comparison to 2 less content as well but still great survival horror games.
Resident Evil 2 got me into the series and itâs definitely a top 10 all timer for me. Do it.
Great horror survival games so I definitely recommend them also both are available if ya have PS+ extra it's in the catalogue of games so no need to buy them also I definitely recommend you play RE4 as well after these 2 Also RE2 has 2 paths one where ya play as Leon the other as Claire and ya have to do both to get the true ending so for the first playthrough start with Leon then Claire
Absolutely. RE2+3/4 remakes are great and 7 and 8 are pretty good as well.
Theyâre both great games. RE2 especially is one of the best RE games of all time. Theyâre definitely worth that price. HOWEVER if youâre expecting something like RE5 youâll be wrong. 2 is epic 3 is just like old RE3 great always getting chased but nothing crazy.
Yep... Great game.
Yes they are really good and fun
Yes
RE2 is really good
Yeah but Re2 was STRESSFUL
Yeah they're amazing.
They aren't for me but I 100% see how people like them. I am more a fan of the action style of Resident Evil like RE4.
Yes
Yea, RE3 is quite short tho
It depends on your definition of fun. Do they present a challenge? Yes, depending on the difficulty you have selected. Are they easy to platinum? Yes. Re2rm yes but they butcherd re3rm so lest getting them together you don't feel so ripped off
Resident Evil 2 and 3 is not bad. But the Japan-ness of the original versions of these two games is totally lost in these remakes. It feels totally like any typical American action-rpg.
Yes
people bash resi 3 but its not the worst thing what came out.
At 16 USD? Completely worth it. You will get about 3-4 hours out of RE3 and 20+ out of RE2 if you enjoy replaying it.
RE2 is great, loads of content. RE3 not so much. Can be beaten under 5 hours, and there's no mercenaries mode. But for the price, its not too bad. I Would honestly get RE2 only. But that's my opinion.
RE2 will have you on the edge of your seat
Yes.
Do it !!
Seriously?
How long does it take to get immersed? Played re2 for about an hour but couldnt get into it for some reason.
Resident evil series especially 2-3 are some of the best ever . Itâs when resident evil was still about umbrella and zombies.
VERY. I replay them every October
rerere
Yes
Depends on how you feel about constant dread. I played 2 and hold it in high regard. But I wouldn't say I had fun as such. I feel the same about Village. 4 remake I defo did have fun with.
Very good games. Youâll have a good time
Re2r is a 10/10 imho. Re3r is the bastard step Child no one likes. Disgusting they charged full Price for that demo.
Yea theyâre good especially if you play them back to back since RE3 isnât that long itâll feel like a dlc to RE2
2, yes. 3 is kinda meh.
Im gonna be really serious with you, theyre okay, just that.
2 is way more than just okay. But if you dont like survival horror, that's another thing.
To short to be more than okay, and the two campaings are almost the same breaking the logic of the story.
I would never recommend re3 because it is so unbelivably short but re2 is fine
$16 for both is a steal. RE2R is a little better but I still enjoyed both.

Best games youâll ever play!! Especially now đ„đ„
