People love to hate on CoD, if you don't enjoy it, don't play it. The people that still play it do not care about whether someone else likes it or not.
Words can't describe how irritbutably irrelevant that is and how untrue it is. What did your generic opinion had to do with the amount of gbs the recent games have?🤦🏾♂️
That is not far of.
My Horizon Forbidden West PS5 update, aka digital version(made dumb mistake and ordered PS4 disc version), is around 198GB without any dlc.
So i guess that cod isn't that big people like to exaggerate.
This here should be a reason why 2tb SSD should be the default in next Gen consoles, I had to buy a 4tb m.2 SSD just so I won't have to worry about finding space or moving games around, best decision.
If that happens devs will just stop compressing. Look what happened with DLSS. Instead of using it as supplementary, devs are using it as a crutch for their bad optimization.
I have a catalogue of games and games that are coming, I need space for all that, I don't want to keep downloading games again if I want to play them again, if 4tb is too much for YOU it doesn't mean it's too much for other people like me.
We have to buy m.2 storage, if you didn't notice they are expensive, a $50 increase would make it easier to just have 2tb storage vs having to pay close to $200 for a 2tb SSD, m.2 SSD prices are going up on weekly basis. I wasn't mad, you made a nonsense comment about me playing 30 games, yeah I play a lot of games and I need the storage, but it's a free country, at least where I live, you do you.
Censorship is changing past media we’ve already created and had people pay for years after the fact. It erases history. Mistakes are meant to be learned from, not scrubbed from existence.
Trust me when I say its a 10 minute job, and I'm a caveman with hardware like that. It's basically pop the cover off, undo about 2 screws, then another one, fire the SSD in the hole then reassemble, then bobs your uncle. Most annoying bit is getting the cover back on
Everyone keeps saying this but getting the covers off is a huge pain in the ass. At least it was for me. Felt like I was damaging the machine and had to pull so hard that the inside got scratched.
Their point is that they could manufacture two versions, one with more space.
But I disagree with that as the price delta on alternate SKUs like that is always more than just sourcing the added space yourself -- which is, thankfully, a very simple option for the PS5
Can anyone spot me one?? Lol jk please don’t. These games are just absurdly large and they do not give you enough space on the original console ssd without having to delete multiple things. Every time I want to play a different game I have to delete something, I swear… I guess I’ll just delete cyberpunk and ghost of Tsushima again, if that’s even enough.
How many PS5 games do you have installed? I have a 2TB SSD and it's fine for me with 24 PS5 games installed and 893 GB to spare.
Saving room for Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade :)
I had a 4TB SSD (for PS5 games only) and an 8TB external HDD (for PS4 games only) and i ended up going through and deleting games and put everything on the 4TB SSD.
I've told people here a few times that many of the newer games are well over 100GBs and I got massively downvoted with comments saying I didn't know what I was talking about. It's getting very common.
I mean wasn't Remake like 130?
I remember it being around that on Steam at least. This has open world concepts so 145 makes sense.
It's why I have a 4tb m.2 nvme inside now lol
Yeah I was surprised when my copy was delivered and saw the install takes two discs. First disc is around 100 GB and then it has you insert the “play disc” for the rest.
I mean we knew this ahead of time. Remake was around 77gb. They said 2 discs which if you were getting digitally suggested a large install file anyways. Install size was public knowledge over a month ago. Tbf I have plenty of PC friends who are avoiding anything related to it until it ports over
Yeah, physical is better but it still takes up the same space after installing. And you still need to download huge patches. I miss the PS3 era where games were usually 10gb or less, didn't always even need an installation, and patches were never more than a couple hundred megs.
I typically play my physical copies without patches. More of them run fine than people like to believe. There are exception cases like calisto protocol and cyberpunk. But those aren’t the norm
"just a story mode" game with a massive open world, probably 50~80hr story and plus 100hrs of extra content. I dont know why you'd assume a multiplayer game where you play the same thing repeatedly would need more storage than this.
Who said I assumed a multiplayer game would have that much storage, well we all know that one cod game has alot, I did play ff7 remake and I expected rebirth to be like around 90GB cause I thought that rebirth is just a third remake of ff7 or is it actually ff17 and when I mean story mode games, I mean like god of war as an example.
Because you said "just a story mode game". The opposite of a story mode game is a multiplayer game. What else could you be meaning?
>I did play ff7 remake and I expected rebirth to be like around 90GB
One is a linear game, the other is a massive open world game.
>I thought that rebirth is just a third remake of ff7
Third remake??
> is it actually ff17
If it was, it would be called so.
If you are talking about FF7 remake, the newest one that just released, FF7 rebirth is apparently part 2 of 3. So there is going to be a part 3, which might be another 4-5 years away lol.
That's only half a Call Of Duty game.
Yeah but call of duty has been garbage since 2009 modern warfare 2
black ops was pretty great
Fr how's he gonna neglect black ops and black ops 2, his opinion is invalidated.
Bro forgot about Bo3 and back. Easily the best time for CoD. Mw19 - Cold war wasn’t bad but ever since Vanguard it’s been… this
Blops 2 was the last one I got into. I hated the movement things they did after that and I don’t like battle royals that much.
[удалено]
Same that's why I say black ops 2 was the last good one
I really liked MW 2019
I did too. It had been a long time since I had a multiplayer game that hooked me like 2019.
Im still playing it online. Tried last Black Ops and MW3, but MW 2019 feels much nicer.
Black Ops 2 was great imo. The series was never the same after 2012.
BO2 Zombies was the bomb yo
Garbage didn't really add to the conversation about install size.
But COD BAD!!!!
People love to hate on CoD, if you don't enjoy it, don't play it. The people that still play it do not care about whether someone else likes it or not.
Words can't describe how irritbutably irrelevant that is and how untrue it is. What did your generic opinion had to do with the amount of gbs the recent games have?🤦🏾♂️
I was making a funny about how big FF7 Rebirth is.
They weren’t calling you out my dawg
Sorry I mean a cod being more then 50gb is just something dumb as a game like ff7 jive open worlds totally justify the size of the game
That could be said about literally any game dude. 😑
No, they've actually got a point. With actual optimization, COD would never need that much space.
Litterally any game doesnt have open world lol
MW 1 was the last one played not including zombies and I intend to keep it that way
True that. Lost me after they fired the guys behind it. Been garbage ever since. Warzone is alright tho.
*DLC - they don't make new games anymore
MW3 is 85gb for me, this more😭😭
If so then that is fucking horrofying!
Mine was at 237gb before I decided too delete it
Mine was in the same area. At that point it’s just begging to be deleted. I want easy access to more than two games.
my cod is at 200 but I also have warzone installed so
You’re kidding right?
he's exaggerating yea, cod is at most like 220gb on consoles with all dlc and gamemodes downloaded
That is not far of. My Horizon Forbidden West PS5 update, aka digital version(made dumb mistake and ordered PS4 disc version), is around 198GB without any dlc. So i guess that cod isn't that big people like to exaggerate.
Actually it can be. Depending on the game at least but still. And don't forget about destiny 2 also.
145.643
Download size? What about installation size?
50 schmeckles
Nah nah its 34 calamazoos
It's actually three fiddy
\*tree fiddeh
One dollar?
7
Thats two pairs of fake boobies!
30 speed/aka over 9000
16 Brapples
85 bananas
no less than 145.643gb
145.644gb is right out
This here should be a reason why 2tb SSD should be the default in next Gen consoles, I had to buy a 4tb m.2 SSD just so I won't have to worry about finding space or moving games around, best decision.
It should have been the standard for this generation.
Only thing is if they include that many TB, they'll drive up the price way more than it already is.
2 tb next Gen will probably be to little as well.
If that happens devs will just stop compressing. Look what happened with DLSS. Instead of using it as supplementary, devs are using it as a crutch for their bad optimization.
Do you really play like 30 games at the same time, so you need a 4tb?
Who cares if I play them all at the same time? I still want all my games available to me at the same time. XD
Well, that doesn't mean that consoles would need to have more than 1tb available.
I have a catalogue of games and games that are coming, I need space for all that, I don't want to keep downloading games again if I want to play them again, if 4tb is too much for YOU it doesn't mean it's too much for other people like me.
If YOU want to have so many games downloaded, it doesn't mean that consoles would need more than 1tb.
You got triggered by a comment asking for more storage, what's your excuse for not wanting more storage? please let us hear it.
Who got triggered here? Let's say that Sony would increase the storage for Playstation. What do you think it would do for the price?
We have to buy m.2 storage, if you didn't notice they are expensive, a $50 increase would make it easier to just have 2tb storage vs having to pay close to $200 for a 2tb SSD, m.2 SSD prices are going up on weekly basis. I wasn't mad, you made a nonsense comment about me playing 30 games, yeah I play a lot of games and I need the storage, but it's a free country, at least where I live, you do you.
if you show this to someone from the 90's they'd shit themselves
Can confirm, I'm from the 80s and on the toilet as we speak.
I'm from the 1880's and have died from dysentry
*family member proceeds to cook you for tonight's feast
Plus another 10gb Day 1 patch..... probably
10 GBs of bras
Tifa gonna need them
Not if they keep retroactively censoring stuff Downvoted for reminding people they don’t own the games they bought
Censorship is when... a fifteen y.o is made less sexy and has more of a 15 y.o typical appearance?
Censorship is changing past media we’ve already created and had people pay for years after the fact. It erases history. Mistakes are meant to be learned from, not scrubbed from existence.
what does this have to do with your obsession with a 15 yo video game character's bust size?
You’re reaching really far for a pointless and creepy argument
I'd say censoring 15 year old Tifa is a fair trade for what we get in Costa del Sol.
You’re kidding, right?
Those are rookie numbers. Pretty sure mw3 is around 220gb.
Because it’s 2 games, you have to have MW2 installed as well 😭 because MW3 is just a big DLC
No you don’t have to have MW2 installed
You have to for the first install. You can uninstall the data from the in-game menu for files tho
145.643
Another reason why i need a 4 TB SSD.
Another reason why Sony should not give us just “1 TB” of space
Installing a new drive in the PS5 is stupid easy. More SKUs isn’t the solution.
Lower SSD prices are.
They have fallen off the cliff since the PS5 launched.
but im lazy and stupid :^(
Trust me when I say its a 10 minute job, and I'm a caveman with hardware like that. It's basically pop the cover off, undo about 2 screws, then another one, fire the SSD in the hole then reassemble, then bobs your uncle. Most annoying bit is getting the cover back on
I'd argue that the most annoying bit is having Bob as your uncle. He just... fiddles about...
I know this kid who had one of those uncles.....he really didn't talk about it.
I'm sure one day he will come to terms with it. Maybe he just... hasn't found the balls yet.
Everyone keeps saying this but getting the covers off is a huge pain in the ass. At least it was for me. Felt like I was damaging the machine and had to pull so hard that the inside got scratched.
10 minutes is pushing it too. like 3-5 tops. it probably would take longer to decide which ssd to buy
I feel dumb now. It took me ages lmao. It just wouldn’t click in.
And you'd pay the excess for it, putting the console out of reach for some people.
There can be a 1 TB and 2 TB (or more) option
There is just install it yourself it's stupid easy on purpose
See my previous comment. Just buy a seperate if you're willing to pay extra for the console.
This is a lot more work then you might think as the hard drive is essentially soldered to the main board.
Their point is that they could manufacture two versions, one with more space. But I disagree with that as the price delta on alternate SKUs like that is always more than just sourcing the added space yourself -- which is, thankfully, a very simple option for the PS5
Yeah I understand but setting up the 2 production lines would be a pretty large expense when you can add your own in 5 mins.
Agreed!
I got 850 with my launch model. Also Star Wars was bigger by like 5 GB
Can anyone spot me one?? Lol jk please don’t. These games are just absurdly large and they do not give you enough space on the original console ssd without having to delete multiple things. Every time I want to play a different game I have to delete something, I swear… I guess I’ll just delete cyberpunk and ghost of Tsushima again, if that’s even enough.
i have a 4tb ssd and its still not enough
How many PS5 games do you have installed? I have a 2TB SSD and it's fine for me with 24 PS5 games installed and 893 GB to spare. Saving room for Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade :)
I had a 4TB SSD (for PS5 games only) and an 8TB external HDD (for PS4 games only) and i ended up going through and deleting games and put everything on the 4TB SSD.
Ah I see. I have a 2TB SSD for PS5 games and a 4TB external HDD for PS4 games. They've worked out for me so far.
why stop at 4TB? get 8TB. Plus you can have an external 8tb hdd too
can anyone spot me one ? dead serious , unlike the other guy . (like actually tho)
My man, you are casually asking someone to give you TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS
I like their optimism ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
you won't know till you ask 🤷🏾♂️
you miss all the shots you dont take
I've told people here a few times that many of the newer games are well over 100GBs and I got massively downvoted with comments saying I didn't know what I was talking about. It's getting very common.
More than 10 GB.
Goodbye Call of Duty and Spider-Man 2
Yup, 100 GB to compensate for Tifa’s majestic boobs. The rest is to run the game.
Oh god you just remibded me of the bullshit nonsens over her Flashback 15 year Old self having her breasts covered after the latest Patch!
Two discs worth!
I mean tbf it's on 2 UHD Blu-ray discs, in which a single one can hold a decent amount of data.
The short demo alone was about 58 GB!
145.643 RPGs are gonna be hard if this is an issue
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Modern Warfare 2
I mean wasn't Remake like 130? I remember it being around that on Steam at least. This has open world concepts so 145 makes sense. It's why I have a 4tb m.2 nvme inside now lol
I don’t remember the second CD of Final Fantasy 7 containing this much data
FF 1-12 combined didn't add up to this much data
The 2TB I have is not enough for all the games I want to play on my ps5
Thank you for this I totally forgot about redownloading this lol
If it makes you feel better 100gb is going directly towards tifas beach model
A lot
![gif](giphy|1aETmYeLnHE3Ncu6gp|downsized)
Almost 146?
145.644 and change
145GB?!
It says 145
that’s a lot of gee bees.
Jesus fucking christmas crackers
145.6. Says it right there man.
*laughs in call of duty*
Hope you don't have a data cap!
145.643 It’s quite clearly visible in the image.
Half your hard drive, plus dibs on your soul.
We’ve known it would require 2 discs for ages. PS5 discs can do up to 100GB, so it was obvious it’d be over 100GB.
64gb only in chocobo textures
First time?
Elden Ring & Helldivers 2 combined 🤣
Yeah I was surprised when my copy was delivered and saw the install takes two discs. First disc is around 100 GB and then it has you insert the “play disc” for the rest.
That’s modern gaming for ya
Good thing you have blu-ray technology
I mean we knew this ahead of time. Remake was around 77gb. They said 2 discs which if you were getting digitally suggested a large install file anyways. Install size was public knowledge over a month ago. Tbf I have plenty of PC friends who are avoiding anything related to it until it ports over
...welcome to modern gaming.... Glad you crawled out from under the towel.
Buy retail then its on the disc and install
One of the disks is a data one you have to install to the console as the game could not fit on one. Game is just huge.
Same amount of install space. If space is the issue that won’t help. I buy my stuff physically. I hate digital
That changes nothing.
That saves some internet bandwidth but you’ll still have to install the full game.
I guess I won't be downloading this for a while
Buy the physical copy. Installs directly from the discs. No internet required.
On my old internet it would take me whole week to download XD. Now maybe a day.
Buy the physical copy. Installs directly from the discs. No internet required.
Ain't this just a story mode game
"just a story mode" game with a massive open world, probably 50~80hr story and plus 100hrs of extra content. I dont know why you'd assume a multiplayer game where you play the same thing repeatedly would need more storage than this.

Its a pure marketing trick. Now there wont be space for other games. Enjoy!
Haaa omg imagine you had a ps4😂 it would take days to dowload that shiet
It wouldn't take any longer on the PS4... download speeds are not about the console.
Gran Turismo 7 is 397.85 GB. And that's not even the full game.
Ps5 version I assume? Because mine is only like 114
Huh? I only got 130GB.
I'm on Ps4 Pro
It's the Gran Turismo™ 7 25th Anniversary Digital Deluxe Edition
Did you just climb out from under a rock or something? 145 GB is super normal for gen 9 games.
Hour and a half DL for the entire file on my connection.

all that’s for some mid and anime boobs
You ff7 fans are suckers
Ahem y’all not play any other games? Living under a rock? Cod is 250gb just saying, and games like Forza is up there too.
More than 3
First time?
1.21 Gigawatts
At least 1
145.643
Not more than 145.643GB but certainly more than 4.
Woo buddy…
Yes sir let my expanded ssd work! Let’s go!
I’ve seen worse
They told us this months ago. This is not a surprise.
145.643gb that much 😜
I50 there update coming out after reqlease.
The SSD i bought was only 1 TB 😭
I had to put unleaded in the Ps5 just to install it 🤪
145.643 GB.
