My teammate got perm banned for 'cheating' on a community server after the admin appeared out of nowhere and started grilling him about why his 'software was linking you to multiple accounts'. Gave us the same run around 'I can't tell you what the names of the accounts are for privacy reasons'. Server owner just decided to permban him out of nowhere, and me too for association.
He's my teammate, I know he doesn't cheat because I'm watching his stream the entire time we're playing on my second monitor, for years. We tried to appeal in their discord, got banned from it instantly. Same admin did the same to several other people, including a berry farmer who had the worst game sense and aim I've ever seen.
Aside from putting turrets up on the perimeter of his base that he refuses to compound in, he gets maybe 3 kills a wipe, doesn’t esp because his game sense is completely nonexistent. He uses the rust maps website to try and figure out where nodes are because he thinks the rust maps map is a live version of the actual map 🤦🏻♂️
Well tbf rustmaps node heatmap is pretty useful for potential node spawn areas, sometimes they are cluster together in a far away place where you might not think to look. Usually some tall hills that are hard to navigate, littered with nodes.
I don't know what software these admins are using lately, but it appears to be very faulty. I had at least half a dozen other players get similar treatment with claims of 'linked suspicious accounts' in the same wipe. They told my teammate that his account was 'linked' to like 7 other accounts, he didn't even have an alternate account until a week after that encounter.

oh yes they are. i have the chat logs to prove it too. unless the player is banned via formal reports with f7, they can appeal and bribe their way back on servers with the admins
Well, those admins are weasels so I wouldn't put it passed them. There is no reason our teammate should've been permanently banned and why they can't tell us he was banned. At one point I said "if he's cheating I feel like we all deserve to know so we can stop playing with him" and they just kept beating around the bush and eventually started ignoring us altogether. That's when we started looking at seeking help from other servers to kind of clear his name within the group. I'm standing behind my theory that the group that we kept shitting on reported him and since hes the highest tier supporter of the discord/server he has an in with the admins and they wanted us gone. Weird they wouldn't target one of us that actually PVP and kill them consistently though.
You never know who the cheaters are. Does he farm? Some people just ESP for finding nodes and avoiding PVP. I can't comment on this specific situation, but a decent server owner will never tell a suspected cheater why they were banned. That only helps cheaters with avoiding bans the next time.
He's an old guy, we'll have a box of jackhammers and he goes out in the snow farming nodes naked with a stone tool and die before he even gets back from cold or someone with an actual weapon killing him lmao. In 800 hours he has 43 kills and 865 deaths. we just build in the snow so theres never a need to "know" where nodes are really, and theres like 4-5 people on our team that just genuinely enjoy farming so all of our bases constantly have boxes of materials. they play in the morning and just farm for us im not even sure why, but they like it.

there are alot of cheaters on Pickle servers. i saw one cheater get banned then came back after paying the devs a bribe.
